C9 Chapter nine

MARCUS'S POV

I was surprised that one single statement made her leave. Once she left I smirked and went back home.

By the time I was arriving home it was empty and I saw a sticky note on the refrigerator.

"Cindy has gone into labor and your brother and sister will be spending the night at their grandparents house."

"Food is already in the refrigerator, just warm it and don't burn down the house."

I grabbed the note and shredded it to pieces. I opened the refrigerator and took out my meal a few minutes later I placed it in the microwave.

My thoughts wandered off to Chelsea, the new sassy girl on the block. A small smile curved my lips and I slumped on the sofa and turned on the TV.

Flickering through the channel list searching for something to watch and usually it had the most boring shows ever.

The microwave dinged and I got up heading to the kitchen. I took out my food and began to savor the tasty flavour in my mouth.

Cindy might act like a witch sometimes but she was a pro at cooking and would certainly give her an A+ for best.

Ten minutes later I was done with my meal. I cleaned the surface of the table and rinsed my plate and fork.

After having a glass of water I went upstairs to my bedroom I urgently needed a cold shower plus today has been quite an eventful day.

I quickly stripped and got into the shower I turned on the knob and the cold water started cascading my body.

This is definitely the last time I will be getting any proper sleep. Once the baby comes home tomorrow I'll need to brace myself for countless sleepless nights.

Tomorrow would be Monday and that meant school. The one place where people got on my nerves and made my blood boil. I didn't hate school but some people just made it a living hell for me and that always landed me in trouble and of course detention.

I just had to brace myself for the worst and hung in there.

A few minutes later I turned off the knob and wrapped a white towel around my waist and stepped out of the shower.

A few moments later I was dressed in my pajamas. I got under the warm covers and instantly drifted to sleep.

Dreaming about a redhead with fierce green eyes that held a dangerous flame.

She smiled at me and giggled.

CHELSEA'S POV

I ate my dinner quitely and my mom and dad kept giving me a strange puzzled look.

"What's wrong with you guys? I asked curiously and mom gave me a nervous smile.

Dad cleared his throat.

"Chelsea dear did something happen when you went out? He asked sternly.

I nodded and chewed my food slowly.

"Yeah I met a boy a few blocks away from here."

I sipped my water and kept my facial expressions mutual.

Dad cocked a brow at me and I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.

"What was he like?" Mom asked in a high pitched excited voice.

"Umm he was mysterious and good looking" I muttered softly.

"And we didn't talk much because he seemed busy…"

Mom nodded but her eyes said something else.

"You barely don't know anyone Chelsea I don't want you to be found near that rebel understood" he warned.

"But dad-" I protested and he cut me off.

"Chelsea I am your father and I forbid you from seeing that boy."

I frowned at him.

"You don't even know anything about him," I answered back. And rushed upstairs.

"Chelsea come back here!"

But I never turned around. I went to my room and slumped on the bed.

Dad barely knows him. I don't know why he's being so judgmental about a person he doesn't even know.

I heard soft voices in the passage and I peeked into the keyhole. Mom and dad were talking in the hallway whispering among themselves.

Mom placed a comforting hand on his shoulder and sighed deeply.

"George give her some time to adjust she'll get used to our new home soon and the people as well" mom said softly and he nodded.

"What do you know about the boy Chelsea was talking about? Mom asked curiously and dad shrugged carelessly.

"I know plenty enough about him and I know why I told Chelsea to stay away from him Sarah. That boy has a horrible past and I don't want Chelsea to get involved with his past."

"It's filled with blood trust me."

Mom nodded quietly and they left the hallway silently.

I released the breath I was holding and locked my bedroom and settled on the queen sized bed.

Recalling dad's word's; it's filled with blood trust me.

My mind wandered off to the conversation I overheard.

Dad knows about that boy's past but what could it be? I wondered curiously and placed my head on the pillow trying to think of a theory.

I know for sure that he would never hurt anybody because he didn't hurt me even if I acted like a spoiled brat.

Something just didn't add up.

His life just became more intriguing and I was eager to learn about him even if it's blood filled.

I took off my clothes and shoes and stepped into the shower. I turned the hot water, the mere contact relaxed my muscles and I sighed deeply.

Dad would certainly freak out if he found out that the bad boy had touched me.

He'd totally lose it and I wouldn't blame him.

For a moment I thought that he was going to kiss me when he pulled me close but he scared the nuts out of me.

Besides I would never have my first kiss with a jerk moreover the boy I didn't even like.

I cuddled my teddy bear Henry.

What if I actually liked him?

I shook my head quickly.

No.

That was possible and firstly gross.

I sighed deeply my thoughts drifted back to the black haired bad boy I met today a smile appeared on my lips. And my eyelids felt heavy. I was getting sleepy.

My eyes fluttered closed and I sank further into my soft pillow. Dreaming about hair black as ebony, charcoal grey eyes that held a darkness a dangerous one.

GEORGE'S POV (CHELSEA'S FATHER)

That night I couldn't get much sleep mostly because my thoughts kept wandering back to Chelsea being with that rebel.

I heard plenty of rumors about him and they weren't exactly pleasing. Especially his past life it was filled with blood and murder and no daughter of mine would get involved with such a person.

I would sort out things with Chelsea tomorrow morning but I'll need to have a one on one conversation with that boy.

I had learnt that his name was Marcus Devon; he had been born and raised in the countryside with both of his parents.

It seemed simple enough but everything changed when his mother had unexpectedly killed herself by stabbing herself in the ribcage it was oddly strange.

People usually overdose on pills, hang themselves, drink poison, shoot themselves and stab themselves in the lower abdomen but the rib cage was just odd.

The reports said that she died on the spot immediately mostly because of the excessive bleeding.

And ever since his mother's death Marcus has never been the same he has changed for the worst.

I just hope that Chelsea stays away from him and his family.
