C6 A celebration

Esosa's POV

I stood there having a deep thoughts of all I could achieve if I eventually accept this partnership. Truly, like Mr. Richard said, it'll give me greater opportunities to meet top influentialpeople in the world because Fly Emirates airline isn't a small firm, it's a big shot.

I gave it a second thought and then I flash my brother a smile and gave a nod.

"Good, now brace up yourself and let’s go back there"he said smiling at me.

My face beams up with smiles and we both walked back

"Welcome back" Mr. Richard said when he saw us.

"Thank you" I answered.

"So?" Mr. Richard asked with a raised brow.

Since I already handed the documents to my brother my palms were so sweaty because I was still feeling nervous. I rubbed my sweaty palms and glance at everyone who were staring at me waiting in anticipation of my answer.I took a deep breath and released it.

"YES I’ll accept the offer!" I exclaimed with excitement and my friends squeal with excitement and applauded for me."Good decision. Go ahead and sign the document" Richard gestured with a broad smile.

I nodded and collected the documents from my brotherand sign on each document.

"Congratulations Miss Anderson on your new position, I wish you more success in the years to come" He extended his hand for a shake and I accepted it wholeheartedly.

"Thank you so much Sir" I said and hugged him briefly.

My friends came over to hug and congratulate me. "Thank you so much guys for being here for me. Itmeans a whole lot to me" I said almost at the brim oftears. My colleagues really loved me, not just the six of them present but almost all of them that I know in each crews, perhaps if not for work like Mr. Richard said earlier, they would have been here.

I gazed up at my brother beside me and I couldn't stop the tears that has already slide down my cheeks. Iwrapped my arms around his waist and his big handcovers my body in an embrace.

"Shh. don’t cry. You deserve it. You deserve more if I may add" he whispers to me to calm down.

A popping of the champagne and a squeal from my friends startled me apart from my brother and when I turned around I saw Jeff the craziest of my colleague holding a bottle of champagne.

"Hurray! DJ abeg give us some music!" he yells raisingthe bottle of champagne in the air.

"Not yet. She hasn’t even done the cutting of the cake yet" Davidson objected.

"That’s true. Babe what are you waiting for? Get overthere!" Sandra yells and she took my hand and drags meto the table where the cake was placed.

She handed me the cake cutter and I fixed it on thedownpart of the cake.

"At the count of the year 2020. Are you ready?!" She yells with a grin and I giggled.

"Yes" I answered.

"Are you ready?" She asked me one more time and I laughed before nodding. Meanwhile they were flashesof camera lights from my friends phones who werevideoing the whole show.

"Guys join me and count!" She yelled and they all started counting.

"2, 0, 2, 0!" and I slide the knife on the cake cutting it. They applauded and took pictures of me. They cameover and took pictures with me.

"More grease to your elbow babe" Sandra said as she hugged me again.

Jeff took a glass cup and poured wine on it and served me first then he served the others. "Let’s make a toast" he suggested.

"Yes baby!" Karen exclaimed excitedly. Wow thispeople I'm surrounded with really love me for them tohave even hosted a surprise party for me is enough to show their love

"Cheers to more promotions and bigger deals to come to you Esosa Anderson" Jeff said and we all responded with"Cheers!". There were clattering of glasses from each one of us.

"Thank you guys" I said grinning from ear to ear.

"DJ let the party begin" Jeff yells to DJ and he dragged me along with him a bit closer to the front of the hut where the DJ was.

The DJ did his intro mix and then ‘Scatter by Fireboy' blasted the speakers.

"Yay, that’s my song!" I exclaimed excitedly knowing is one of my favorite songs. I didn't know when I started twisting my body and twerking.

"See this babe oo. So you sabi dance like this?" Jeff half-yelled in Nigerian pidgin and I laughed and swats him on his chest.

"Go away. I’m still a learner compared to you" I replied and stopped dancing.

"No dey whine me joor. Oya give me those steps again" he requested and I rolled my eyes and began dancing again.

This time around I was twerking really bad that I went down still twerking why he crazily stood behind me staring at my butt.

"Yay! Give it to them bebe!" He yells and my friendsjoined him in hyping me.

Although I'm not a good dancer but I was goodat twerking and twisting. I felt shy and stoppeddancing pushing Jeff away from my behind whilethey laughed at the way Jeff looked disappointed.

"Bad guy!" Josh another of my friends yelled and gave a light punch on Jeff’s chest. They both chuckled andthen the DJ switched songs to 'Nobody by Joeboy'.

Jeff started dancing and did a little bit of twerking which got us laughing. He stopped twerking and danced towards me, he took my hands and began dancing with me. He twirls me around and held my waist and I twist my body to the beats of the song.No doubt I was having fun at how skillfully he was dancingand he was even teaching me some dancing steps.

I saw Mr. Richard chuckling as he watched us dance. It didn't last longer he called our attention.

"Hey guys I’m leaving. I’ll see you all around" He announces.

Jeff left my side and danced to the front of Mr. Richard and I contain my laughter. By now 'Tesunmole by Naira Marley' was playing.

"You’re not going yet Sir. You have to show us all you’ve got in dancing. Have a little fun with us before you go" Jeff said wiggling his brows with a wide grin while dancing.

This guy is really crazy and I really do love this crazy and fun part of him. Mr. Richard shook his head chuckling.

"Not today, maybe some other time" he replied.

"No, no, no!! We won’t allow you to leave without dancing, right guys?" Jeff asked us eyeing us to say yes.

"Yeah!! Go boss, go boss, go boss" we responded clapping our hands and cheering him up to dance.

I'll really love to see a white American dancing to ourcrazy Nigerian songs and their beats. I grin widely at the thought of it. My friends and my brother have already formed a circle around him and I joined in the circle.

Mr. Richard raised his hand in surrender and starteddancing. He swayed his hips from right to left and hishands were in the air snapping his fingers to the beatsof the song like a female. I clams my palm to my mouth to avoid laughing out loud.

Jeff joined him in the middle of the circle and startedteaching him more dancing steps and Mr. Richard was feeling excited as he learnt it. I and my friends began hyping him and in a short while all of us joined them and danced to the beats of the song. I was really having fun, it's been awhile I did stuffs like this.

"Okay. Okay. I’ve had enough; I need to rest for a whilebefore I pass out" Mr. Richard announces after a couple of minutes he’s been dancing. He was panting and holding on to his chest like he just did some marathon.

I laughed and begged my friends to let Mr. Richard be. They obliged and I led him to the table and ask him tosit in one of the decorated chairs and rest for a whilebefore he leaves. While my brother and my friendscontinued dancing to ‘Parte after parte’ by Big Tril.

"Would you want some water or wine?" I asked as he took a sit still panting.

"I’ll prefer water" he answered and I handed him a bottlewater. "Wow, that was really crazy, I've never in my whole life dance this way".

I raised a brow hiding my smiles and pretended not to understand what he was talking about.

"What was crazy?" I asked.

"The dance of course!" He exclaimed taking a gulp ofwater down his throat.

"Oh" I chuckled.

"Go ahead and laugh at me. I know I’m not a good dancer but I can tip Jeff into agreeing to teach me soI can be a better dancer than you the next time we’ll be meeting".

I burst into a fist of laughter for hearing such comingout from him."Really?" I asked catching my breath.

"Yes. Besides I was doing well over there few minutes ago while he was teaching me. I could do better with his help".

I chuckled at his serious facial expression, "Oh yeah?".

"Yeah baby. So watch me do more in the next seasonof the dancing challenge" he said.

I burst into laughter again by the way he was taking a dance meant for fun so serious.

"Oh my! We’ll see about that" I smiled and took a glass of wine.

I drank all the content in it while Mr. Richard gulped down the remaining content of bottle water he was having onhis hand.

"Miss Anderson, I beg to take my leave now, is gettinglate for me, I have an early flight to catch by 6am tomorrow, so I need to go back to my lodge and catchsome sleep" he said after glancing at his wristwatch.

"Okay. Thank you so much for coming. Let me see youoff to the gate" I offered.

"Sure".

We both stood up and I carried his briefcase while he walkedup to the rest of my colleagues to tell them he was leaving.

"I’m leaving guys, do enjoy the party" He announces and they bid him farewell.

"I’ll be right back guys. Enjoy yourselves" I yelled over tothem and we both walked out of there and headed to the gate.

"Congratulations once more" He congratulated me again as we got closer to the gate.

"Thank you Sir".

"Don’t stop working hard. I’m so impressed to see a young lady like you accomplish this much. Don’t get distracted by men and most of all continue being humble no matter what you’ve achieved because it makes people speaks well of you even when you are not there. Especially now with your new position with us, it is going to open doors of opportunities of meeting top influential people in the society to do business with. I know you’re an entrepreneur and will do well in your field of business but remember to always be honest with people especially with your clients and business partners, it makes them trust you enough to do bigger deals with you" he advised.

"Thank you so much for the advice Sir. I’ll forever hold on to it".

We stopped walking and he placed his hand on my shoulder and tapped on it twice, "Continue with the good work. If you need any advice just hit me up on my mail if you can’t reach me on my cellphone number. Okay?".

"Yes, Mr. Richard. Thank you" I hugged him briefly and he patted my back.

"Alright then. I’ll take my leave now. You can get back to your friends and enjoy the party".

"Speaking of party, were you the master mind behind this?" I asked remembering Davidson can't just team up alone with the crew and arrange the party without the help of Mr. Richard.

Mr. Richard shrugged with a smile not saying a word.

"You shouldn’t have gone all the troubles to do this".

"You deserve it. And it wasn’t just me. You should thank Davidson and the rest of your team. They did more work than me. I only came up with the idea and they actualize it" he explained.

I opened my mouth to tell him thank you but he beats me to it. "Goodbye Miss Anderson" he said and walked away leaving me in a gape.

"I think you should shut your mouth close before some insect flies into it" a masculine voice startles me where I stood.
