C20 Yue Youqian!

It took Liu Fann a moment to recognize the uncle he had previously assisted. He fished out a business card from his pocket, confirming the man was indeed Yue Youqian, the chairman of Jiahe Real Estate. "What a great name," he mused.

"Ah, it's you, Uncle Yue!" Liu Fann greeted, shaking hands with Yue Youqian.

Yue gripped his hand firmly, his voice laced with excitement. "My young friend, it seems fate has brought us together again. If not for you, I might have lost out on that land deal."

Liu Fann offered a knowing smile and a modest shake of his head. "I simply did what was right. No need for thanks."

"If it's alright with you, just call me Uncle Yue. You've really impressed me, young man!" Yue Youqian's admiration for Liu Fann grew with each passing moment.

"What's your name?" he inquired.

"Liu Fann," he replied with a composed demeanor.

"What brings you here, young man? Are you looking to buy a house?" Yue Youqian gestured for Liu Fann to take a seat and chat.

Liu Fann returned the smile. "Yes, but I've run into a bit of a snag," he said, his eyes briefly meeting those of Wang Baifeng and Wu Gaang in the distance.

Wang Baifeng clutched her purse tightly. Despite the smile plastered on her face, the anxiety in her eyes betrayed her inner turmoil. She was clearly uncomfortable.

Yue Youqian, ever perceptive, noticed the tension immediately. "Manager Wu, come here," he called Wu Gaang over with a stern look. "Explain to me how you've been troubling my young friend here."

Wu Gaang felt a chill down his spine, not having anticipated Liu Fann's connection with Yue Youqian. He glanced between Liu Fann and the approaching Wang Baifeng, then, mustering a grin, he said, "Oh, President Yue, I wouldn't dare cause any trouble for him. Here's the situation..."

Wu Gaang conveniently omitted the part about Liu Fann being interested in the property first and instead highlighted the signed contract.

Upon hearing this, Yue Youqian nodded in understanding. "If that's the case, we do have a binding contract. Unless Mrs. Wang decides to back out, we must proceed according to its terms..."

Wang Baifeng couldn't hide her excitement as she chimed in, "Exactly, President Yue. We have a contract; we can't just back out now!"

Yue Youqian glanced at Liu Fann, who remained unfazed, and then asked, "Young man, what's your take on this?"

Liu Fann nodded in agreement, "He's absolutely right. But I trust Uncle Yue to make the correct call."

Wu Gaang breathed a silent sigh of relief, but in the blink of an eye, Yue Youqian's hand thundered down on the table as he bellowed, "Wu Gaang, you must have the audacity of a bear and the boldness of a leopard!"

Both Wu Gaang and Wang Baifeng jumped at the outburst.

"President Yue, what do you mean?"

Yue Youqian rose to his feet, his gaze piercing, "Do you take me for a fool? A property worth five million sells for six million. Do you think the buyer is an idiot?"

Wu Gaang was at a loss for words, while Wang Baifeng's face flickered between shades of uncertainty.

"You think I'm oblivious to the under-the-table deals and the Yin-Yang Contracts you've been profiting from all these years? I might have turned a blind eye before, but today, you have the nerve to deceive me?"

In that moment, Yue Youqian was the embodiment of a ferocious tiger, his presence overwhelming.

Wu Gaang gritted his teeth, desperate to defend himself, "President Yue, without evidence, you can't just accuse me..."

Wang Baifeng tried to reason as well, "President Yue, the contract is signed. You can't just walk away from it."

Yue Youqian let out a derisive chuckle, "The deal has to be legal first! Wu Gaang, I'm giving you one chance to come clean. At worst, you'll lose your job. Otherwise, prepare for jail time!"
