C36 Miss Inky Wolf
Chu Zui placed the items on the table and rubbed her hands that had been cut by the plastic bag. While she was tidying up her things, she shot a glance at Chu Zui. "Do I look like someone who has time to read the newspaper?"
Xu Zhuyu was helpless. He got up and walked to her side. A body that was a head taller than her almost covered her.
Chu Zui turned her head to look at him in confusion. She took out a bottle of mineral water from the plastic bag and said, "Then, let's drink it. It's your treat!"
"I've worked so hard to take care of you and your mother for so many days. You dare to take out a bottle of mineral water and give it to me?" Xu Zhuyu's face immediately darkened as he received the bottle of mineral water in annoyance.
"Then what else do you want?" Seeing that Xin was sleeping soundly, Chu Zui smiled happily. She caressed Xin's smooth and tender face and said, "My Xin likes sleeping with you so much. Can it be that I want to give you such a pitiful child as a child's bride to thank you for taking care of me these past few days?"
"Tsk, you're too ruthless." Xu Zhuyu shook his head and opened the water bottle. He paused and smiled, "Being my daughter is not bad. As for my wife, it depends on whether her mother sees my heart or not."
Chu Zui was stunned as she turned around to look at him. The Xinght shining through the window reflected off his white and handsome face, bringing along a warm feeling with it. She smiled brightly and gently while looking at the astonishment in her eyes, before winking at her, "How is it, is Miss Chu planning to find a father for Xin?"
"Are you kidding?" Chu Zui glared at him. "Where did dad find him?"
"Then do you want her to grow up in a single-parent family forever? No fatherly love in this lifetime? "
"I …"
"Have you thought about it? When Xin becomes sensible one day, she will be suspicious because of the strange looks being shot at her and she will run home to ask you. Why doesn't she have a father? How will you answer that?"
Chu Zui was silent.
Seeing that she was speechless, Xu Zhuyu felt his heart ache. He slowly walked back to her side, bent down and gently hugged her, and let her head rest in front of him: "I was so confident that you, Chu Zui, would eventually marry me, but now, everything is no longer something that I can change just because I think I am."
"But no matter how hard you try to hide this child, afraid that Aunt Chu will take him away one day, I still discovered Xin's existence in the end. In just a few days, don't you think that this is fate?"
"I know what you want to say." Chu Zui hurriedly pushed him away and raised her head cautiously, trying her best to distance her icy gaze from him. "I don't accept this!"
She would never accept such compassion and charity.
Xu Zhuyu shrugged as if he had already expected such an outcome, "Never mind, pretend I didn't say anything. I'm hungry, come and eat with me. Let's go!"
He picked up his suit jacket and placed it in the crook of his arm. Then he turned around and was about to leave the room.
Seeing Chu Zui sitting beside the sickbed in a daze, Xu Zhuyu helplessly turned to look at her: "My little ancestor, it shouldn't be that hard for you to accompany me to eat, right? "Treat it as a reward for the hard work I've gone through these past few days to stay and eat at this place for your Xin. Are you saying that you want to take a few steps forward and accompany me downstairs for a meal?"
With that, he shook his head, turned around and opened the door, angrily grumbling, "Ingrate!" He then quickly walked out.
Only then did Chu Zui stand up and follow him out of the ward with a face full of embarrassment.
