C15 Chapter 14 – Order from Chaos

The morning sun rose slowly above the endless sea.

Golden light spread across Aiden's island, warming the wooden walls of his hut.

A cool breeze carried the scent of damp earth and fresh grass.

As usual, Aiden walked to his wheat field before doing anything else.

Tiny green sprouts stood proudly above the soil.

He crouched beside them and smiled.

"They're growing well."

He gently touched the soil.

It was still slightly damp from yesterday's watering.

Satisfied, he carried a few large leaves filled with water from the pond and watered the field once more.

A soft System notification appeared.

Wheat Growth

- Stage: Sprout

- Health: Healthy

No reward appeared.

Aiden actually preferred it that way.

"The crops don't need to praise me every time I water them."

He stood up and stretched his back.

Today, he had only one goal.

"My camp is a mess."

---

Although his island was improving every day, his camp looked untidy.

Logs were stacked beside the hut.

Stone piles lay near the fire.

Animal bones were wrapped in leaves.

Seeds were placed on top of the workbench.

The Monster Core rested beside the Nature Crystal.

Finding anything took time.

Yesterday, it had taken him several minutes just to locate his rope.

"If I keep collecting resources like this..."

"I'll waste more time searching than building."

As he finished speaking, the System reacted.

New Blueprint Unlocked

Basic Storage Box

Requirements:

- Wood ×15

- Plant Fiber ×5

Description:

A simple wooden chest that protects resources from weather and small animals.

Aiden smiled.

"Perfect timing."

---

He gathered the required materials and walked to his workbench.

The blueprint appeared as a transparent model.

Compared to the workbench, the storage box was much simpler.

Even so, Aiden refused to rush.

He carefully measured each wooden plank.

He used the Wooden Hammer to secure every joint.

Twice he removed loose nails made from sharpened wooden pegs and fixed them again.

"If I'm going to build something..."

"It should last."

Nearly an hour later...

He placed the lid on top.

Click.

The box closed perfectly.

A gentle blue light surrounded it.

Craft Complete

Basic Storage Box

Quality: Good

Durability: 160/160

Storage Capacity: 25 Items

Bonus:

- Stored food spoils more slowly.

Builder Progress:

3/5 Structures

Aiden let out a satisfied breath.

His craftsmanship was slowly improving.

Not because of the System.

Because he was learning from every mistake.

---

The next hour was spent organizing everything.

The first box became the Food Chest.

Roasted Fang Rabbit Meat.

Bread.

Sweet Berries.

Blue Moon Berries.

Green Vitality Mushrooms.

Everything was placed neatly inside.

The second section stored seeds.

Wheat Seeds.

Healing Herb Seeds.

Plant fibers.

The third section held valuable materials.

Monster Core.

Nature Crystal.

Iron Ore.

Rabbit Fur.

Animal Bones.

When he finished...

His camp looked completely different.

Clean.

Organized.

Efficient.

He smiled.

"This saves much more time."

---

While moving the last pile of stones, something unexpected happened.

One loose stone slipped from his hands and rolled toward the workbench.

Clack...

The stone struck one of the workbench's legs.

Instead of stopping...

The leg shifted slightly.

Aiden frowned.

"That's strange."

He knelt and looked underneath.

Hidden beneath the workbench was a small crack in the ground.

He had never noticed it before.

Curious, he moved the workbench aside.

The crack was no wider than his hand.

Cold air drifted upward.

"...There's a space below."

He picked up a burning branch from the campfire and lowered it carefully.

The light disappeared into darkness.

Several seconds later...

Tick...

The branch landed on solid ground.

"It isn't very deep."

Using a long branch, Aiden cleared away loose dirt around the opening.

The crack widened just enough for him to see inside.

It wasn't a cave.

It was a small underground hollow.

Inside lay several smooth clay-colored stones.

He climbed down carefully.

The hollow was barely large enough for one person.

There were no monsters.

No treasure.

Only a pile of strange brown material.

The System appeared.

New Resource Discovered

Clay

Quality: Common

Description:

A natural material used for pottery, bricks, furnaces, and advanced construction.

Aiden's eyes brightened.

"So this is clay."

He picked up a handful.

It was cool and slightly sticky.

Immediately, several new blueprints appeared.

New Blueprints Available

- Clay Pot

- Clay Bowl

- Clay Brick (Locked)

- Basic Furnace (Requirements Not Met)

Aiden couldn't help but grin.

"Now that's useful."

The discovery wasn't flashy.

But it opened an entirely new path of development.

He collected only part of the clay and climbed back to the surface.

"I'll leave the rest here."

There was no reason to strip the deposit all at once.

---

The afternoon passed peacefully.

Aiden crafted two simple clay bowls and placed them near the campfire to dry in the sun.

They looked rough.

One even leaned slightly to one side.

But they worked.

Every item he made taught him something new.

As the sun lowered toward the sea, he stood at the edge of his camp.

The island was changing.

Not through magic.

Not through luck.

Through steady work.

His hut stood firmly.

The wheat field swayed gently in the breeze.

The workbench waited for tomorrow's projects.

The storage box kept his supplies safe.

For the first time...

His camp looked less like a survival shelter.

And more like the beginning of a settlement.

That evening, Aiden opened his Survival Journal.

Survival Journal – Day 10

- A clean camp saves time.

- Build carefully instead of quickly.

- New resources often hide in familiar places.

- Clay may become as important as wood and stone.

- Every improvement today makes tomorrow easier.

He closed the journal and looked toward the dark forest.

A gentle wind rustled through the trees.

Then...

For just a moment...

He heard the distant sound of metal striking stone.

Clang...

Clang...

Aiden slowly stood.

He was certain of one thing.

That sound...

Did not come from his camp.
