C20 Twenty

He starred outside the window of the airplane which had not taken off yet, Anisah was seated by his side and making a whole lot of dua. She was scared for it was her first time on a plane as she had explained to him earlier.

"Anisah it'll be fine" he placed his palm on her hand and she nodded with a smile.

A voice from the speaker erupted, and Waleeld held onto Anisahs hand in other for him to calm her down.

The plane took off and Anisah held onto Waleeds hand more tightly and he chuckled. "Did you die?" He questioned and she chuckled as well.

"No" she untangled their hands.

Waleed brought out his Laptop and passed Anisah an AirPod which she put on "let's watch a movie to kill the time" he said and she smiled. The movie began they both relaxed and watched the American series which was being shown.

Just as birds make their nest overnight, the plane had landed in Paris and they were both presently waiting for Waleeds friend who had offered to pick them up despite Waleeds plea.

"Where is this dummy" Waleed said, he seemed frustrated.

"Here's the dummy you gorilla" A man hugged him from behind tightly. Waleed turned around and chuckled. "Yusuf!" Waleed screamed.

"And you must be Anisah, I love your eyes by the way" the French man said. He was a young man of about 26 years old.

"What took you so long dummy" Waleed put his hands around Yusuf's neck. They All walked towards the Black Mercedes Benz which stood outside.

"So you are using my car?" Waleed said and Yusuf chuckled.

"If I don't use it who will?" Yusuf opened the backseat for Anisah who sat majestically at the backseat like a queen.

"Let's go straight to the hospital please, I wanna see her" Waleeds voice held so much emotion. Anisah knew he was gonna break down at any point.

"Of course, lets go see her" Yusuf smiled. He knew how close his friend was to her.

They took the street to the hospital which wasn't that far from the airport, and also not that far from Waleed and Yusuf's house which they shared. "Are you sure you are ready to see her?" Yusuf asked and Waleed nodded.

"Let's get down then, Is Anisah coming with?" Yusuf and Waleed Gave her a nod.

"Okay" with that said. They all hopped out of the car and headed towards the big glass window of the hospital.

Waleed walked alongside Yusuf and Anisah into the hospital. Yusuf who knew the way to Her room led them towards the Elevator which they used to arrive at room 43, Waleed took in deep breaths before pushing the door open.

"Asalamualaikum" He said, he saw her. Her eyes staring deep into his.

"Dady!" She said, Anisah couldn't believe what she had just heard. Dady?, "Waleed has a child" she didn't know when the words come out of her mouth.

"Noor" Waleed said. Noor laid on the bed with an oxygen pipe supporting. Waleed couldn't control his feelings, he ran over to her and hugged her tightly while crying heavily. His loud sobs could be heard even by the patient in the last room, who were certain that someone must have died for such a cry to come out of a grown man.

"I'm sorry I left you, I'm so sorry my love. I'm so sorry Noor" he held her hand.

"Dady is it true I will die?" She asked. Anisah looked closely at the 4 years old child laying on the bed, she looked nothing like Waleed. For she was fair in complexion. She was French.

"No my love. Who told you that?" Waleed asked.

"I heard the doctor say it" She tried to sit up.

"He knows not what he had said, you believe Dady don't you?" He asked and she nodded.

"You are not gonna die!" He whispered while hugging her.

"Hey chipmunk" Yusuf startled and she began giggling.

"Uncle yussyyyyy" she stretched her hand forward and he took it.

"How is My chipyyy?" He said and she responded with a fine with her eyes glued on Anisah who waved at her weirdly.

"Dady who is she?" Waleed turned around and ushered Anisah in with his hand.

"I'll tell you all about her later. She's my friend" he said, though was she truly his friend?. He thought.

"Hi Aunty" She waved at Anisah. Who smiled calmly at the little four year old. She walked over to her and placed her hand on her bald head. "Hi my love, how are you?" Anisah said.

"I'm good Aunty" Noor smiled.

"So is someone ready for the best time of her life" Waleed squealed. A doctor who

Was passing by had to come in and address them about their noise making.

"Sir please this is a hospital" the doctor said. Anisah, Yusuf and Noor could not help but laugh at Waleed who chuckled and apologized to the doctor.

"Yusuf let's go and Discharge her. She has gone through a lot" Waleed said with his hand on her chin. "Anisah please stay with her" Waleed said and Anisah smiled in agreement. The boys went out and left the two ladies alone.

Noor smiled at her warmly and said "I love your eyes" she complimented.

"Thank you my dear" Anisah said.

"Tell me Aunty, what's your name?" Noor Asked.

"My name is Anisah" she said. "I love your name" Noor said.

"Okay Noor I've discharged you. And guess what?" Waleed asked while pecking her as soon as he walked in.

"What daddy, what?" She asked.

"We are gonna get ice cream" he said and squealed.

"Sir I'm here to remove the tube from her nose" a nurse who walked in said.

"Sure" Waleed agreed and paved way for her to get closer to Noor. She did her job and set Noor free of the oxygen tube connected to her nose.

"Alright she's all set, you can take her home sir" the nurse said and Waleed was nothing but more happy. He immediately grabbed her in his arm.

"Anisah could you help us with the bag over there" He pointed at a Barbie pink bag that laid on a chair in the hospital. Anisah nodded and picked it up, Yusuf on the other hand held onto her food flask.

"Thank you" Waleed smiled at her calmly.

"Dady I have so much to tell you about, I've missed you so much" Noor kept on talking until they reached the exit of the hospital.

"I can't wait to hear all about it while we take ice cream" waleed pecked her chicks.

"Anisah stay at the front with Yusuf, I would love to stay at the back" he said and Anisah nodded an went over to the front and sat with Yusuf.

Both Noor and Waleed sat at the back, he laid her head on his lap while she made used of his phone to play a game. Anisah stared at Waleed through the mirrors in the car. She could tell that he was in so much pain, he looked sad and very unhappy.

The drive to the ice cream shop was filed with giggles as Noor never seized to Laugh whenever Waleed tickled her.

"Come baby" Waleed said to Noor as soon as they arrived the ice cream shop. He picked her up and hopped down along with Anisah and Yusuf.

"Yusuf can you take Noor in?, both I and Anisah would be right there" Waleed said Which meant he wanted to speak to Anisah.

"Sure" Yusuf picked up Noor who giggled away as he grabbed her.

"I know you must probably me wondering why I brought you here" Waleed said and Anisah nodded.

"Yeah" she said.

"I need your help and please promise you shall help me" He said.

"My help with what?" She asked.

"Just promise first" He said and she nodded. "I promise" she mumbled

"Can you be Noors mom for two weeks?. I had promise to get her a mom and I do not want to fail my poor child" Waleed said.

"I don't understand, where is her mom Waleed?" She questioned.

"She has no mother, just I myself" He said.

"So she is your child by blood?" Anisah asked and he smiled.

"Not by Blood, But by heart. She is my child by heart. Blood is just a red liquid, it dose not matter it isn't flowing in a person you love so dearly" he said and she nodded. She couldn't agree more.

"Waleed, Noor!!!!" they were interrupted by Yusuf who came running out with a Noor who was vomiting blood. Fear immediately climbed up waleeds spine. Noor was screaming as well as vomiting blood.

"What happened to her?" Waleed asked in fear as he grabbed her immediately. They all sat back in the car and Yusuf drove in full speed back to the hospital.

"I don't know Waleed, we were talking and the next thing I knew she began vomiting blood" Yusuf was crying, Noors screams was something that scared everyone in the car.

"You'll be fine my love" Waleed held her, the blood had already stained his white shirt and brown trousers.

Immediately they arrived at the hospital Waleed ran with her on his arms into the emergency room. "You'll be okay my love" Waleed whispered into her ears as they dragged further into the room.

"Yusuf" Waleed immediately hugged his friend. "She's going to die" he said whilst sobs. Anisah couldn't control her tears while staring at him. He looked very weak she scared. She couldn't control her leg as she walked over to him and placed her hand on his shoulder.

"She'll be fine Waleed" she whispered. He turned around and gave her a bone crushing hug with tears in his eyes.

"Ameen" he whispered. His heart was crumbling, Noor was scaring him.
