"Bang ~ ~ ~"

Smoke filled the air, and the dust settled.

When the coroner carried the body to the morgue, a little girl, about seven or eight years old, stood in the doorway, holding the last gift her father had given her a few minutes before.

The little girl stared blankly at the dazzling white cloth under the incandescent lamp in the middle of the room.

Her only family member had just left for good.

Yi Yi hugged the fluffy white doll in his hands tightly and walked over to grab his father's big hands.

It was ice-cold.

A blank look appeared on her small, pale face.

This was what the man saw when he arrived.

The girl turned around and looked at him, meeting his eyes that were as deep as ink. Two words came out of her mouth, "Uncle Gu."

The man paused and looked down at her.

Under the tungsten lamp, the man's face was gloomy and unclear.

He said, "Come with me."

It was also on that day that he said, "The name Yi Yi is not suitable for you. From today onwards, you will have a new name."

Everything started from zero.

Ten years later, in his first year.

The bell for the end of class rang. The students in the classroom were in groups of twos and threes as they discussed about their social meetup and left the classroom together.

"Gu Yan, do you want to come?"

Gu Yan was Yi Yi's new name.

The sunny boy in front of her was her class monitor.

After entering the academy for so long, the students were still very unfamiliar with each other. The class monitor proposed to organize a social gathering between classes with the aim of promoting interaction between students.

Gu Yan's hand that was packing his stuff paused. Friendship?

She did not answer the boy's question. Instead, she continued with the movements of her hands and put the textbook into her bag.

Then, he walked out of the classroom.

The boy touched his head with an awkward expression.

Everyone in the class knew that Gu Yan was a different person. To put it harshly, she was a strange person.

Everyone was busy in introducing themselves to be more special, and had even attracted the attention of some people from the opposite sex. Only Gu Yan stood on stage, expressionlessly spat out the word "Gu Yan", and then left the stage. "

The boy frowned as he watched the girl leave.

How strange.

After Gu Yan walked out of the school gate, he skillfully walked in front of a car not far away.

"Miss Gu." The driver, dressed in black, took her backpack as usual and respectfully opened the door for her.

Seeing the man in the backseat, Gu Yan was startled.

Gu Mushen...

Normally, he wouldn't even come here ?

Gu Mushen glanced at the girl who had not said a word since she got on the car. She lowered her head slightly, and folded her hands on her legs, as if she was thinking about something.

"Aren't you happy that I've come to pick you up?" He spoke in a deep voice.

Gu Yan slowly raised his head. The man still had the same cold smile that he had when he first met her. His deep gaze seemed to be able to see through her in an instant.

"Happy."

She didn't care what she thought in her heart, as long as she said what Gu Mushen wanted, it was enough.

In the next second, a small square box appeared in his palm.

Gu Yan looked up, the man's voice was as cool as water, but it was hard to resist.

"Put it on."

Gu Yan's finger moved along the lace on the side of the box and pulled the butterfly tie, allowing Gu Yan to open the box.

Gu Mushen would often give her gifts and she would also accept them one by one.

However, there was nothing to be surprised about.

Inside the box was a simple, patterned, pastoral hair band.

It was a simple patchwork of stripes, and at the end of the hairband was a bright diamond that didn't fit in with the whole, just like she did.

Somehow, this time, she felt that she liked this hairband.

"Wear it. Don't take it off." the man repeated, looking at the girl.

Gu Yan replied softly. Under Gu Mushen's attentive gaze, he tied the ribbon in his hair.

The crystal drill shone with a rainbow light under the remaining rays of the setting sun.

Gu Yan tied up her hair band and looked through the window's reflection, her lips unconsciously curving up. Maybe she liked it when it was like this.

The eyes of the man beside her flickered from time to time, causing people to be unable to understand or understand what he was thinking.
