On Shi Ling's side, Shi Ling and Gongsun Xiaoxuan's body were enveloped by an energy shield formed from the power of the stars. Gongsun Xiaoxuan looked at Shi Ling and said, "Let's begin."

Shi Ling nodded and the Stamping in his hand fluctuated. Following that, Shi Ling's star power turned into a stream of light and entered Gongsun Xiaoxuan's body, causing the star power on Gongsun Xiaoxuan's body to release greatly.

The next moment, he saw a powerful flame rise up from the furnace. It was the Star Flame. Even the herbs on top of the furnace were enveloped by the flames.

Originally, according to the requirements of two-star alchemy, whether it was refining medicinal herbs or refining medicinal pills, the process should have been carried out simultaneously by the two people who performed the technique. That is to say, Shi Ling shouldn't have added his own star power to Gongsun Xiaoxuan's body in order to make Gongsun Xiaoxuan obtain a stronger Star Flame, instead, the two of them should have simultaneously condensed their star power to form the Star Flame and injected it into the furnace.

However, because Shi Ling was currently very proficient at two-star alchemy, and he couldn't perform it together with Gongsun Xiaoxuan, when they bitterly cultivated this set of alchemy techniques together three days ago, they had already decided to infuse Shi Ling's star power into Gongsun Xiaoxuan, allowing Gongsun Xiaoxuan to be the leader of this alchemy.

Shi Ling had no objections to this. As long as he could win, anything would be fine.

Immediately, Shi Ling's star power poured into Gongsun Xiaoxuan's body, causing her star power to become more and more exuberant. The condensed star flame also became more and more exuberant at this moment.

Soon after, Shi Ling saw that on the surface of the medicinal furnace, specks of black dirt started to appear on the surface of the herb, which was also burnt and destroyed by the Star Flame. At the same time, the originally dark green medicinal herb also appeared dark green, giving the impression that the herb was about to mature, but Shi Ling knew that it was not enough and there were still impurities within it that had yet to be removed.

Of course, this didn't mean that he had to completely refine all the impurities in the herbs. According to the regulations of Medicine Refinery Assemble, as long as the impurities of the herbs were reduced to around thirty percent of his own, he would be able to pass.

Quickly, the impurities within the medicinal plant that Gongsun Xiaoxuan had refined had already been reduced to roughly thirty percent. With a sigh of relief, she placed the refined medicinal plant into a jade box and stored it within. Afterward, she took out a new medicinal plant and placed it into the furnace.

By borrowing the power of the stars to create flames and use it to refine medicinal herbs, it would undoubtedly save a lot of time for the alchemist who used it. Moreover, it would also reduce the consumption of his body to the greatest extent, and did not provide enough mana during the refinement of the medicinal pill.

Very quickly, an hour had passed, and during this period, the sound of many Medicine Boy s exploding furnaces could be heard from time to time from above the alchemy plaza. Some of them even had their faces exploded, almost losing their lives on the spot.

Most of the Medicine Boy had refined between three and seven herbs. Yuan Hao and the others were quite strong, they had already refined ten herbs, while Shi Ling had refined thirteen herbs, making him number one in the whole field.

Suddenly, the entire alchemy plaza entered a white-hot stage. Medicine Boy from all sides were refining with all sorts of methods, wanting to make a last ditch effort in the last hour.

However, what no one noticed was that on Yuan Hao's side, when he saw that Shi Ling was refining the herbs much faster than them, the corner of his mouth lifted up slightly. For him, it didn't matter that Shi Ling and Gongsun Xiaoxuan were refining at a much faster rate than him, as long as he could make it to the third round, then the true winner would definitely be him.

Gongsun Yun, who was on the high platform, had an ugly expression on his face at this moment. His brows were locked tightly as he kept staring at Gongsun Xiaoxuan, who was standing below him. Although Gongsun Xiaoxuan had already made the number one herb in the whole field, he didn't know why, but he had a bad feeling that the cigarette gun in his hand had long since run out of tobacco, but he didn't know it, and his mouth was still hanging open.

Three quarters of an hour later.

However, there were still a lot of remaining Medicine Boy who were still trying their best to make a final effort. They hoped that in the last quarter of an hour, they would be able to make it into the top ten, even if it would be only the tenth place.

Meanwhile, on Shi Ling's side, they were already beginning to refine the purple incense. According to Gongsun Xiaoxuan's words, once all the simple herbs were refined, they would be refined directly to the hardest part, because only after refining the most difficult main taste medicine would they have the advantage in the third round of the finals.

Shi Ling didn't have any objections as Gongsun Xiaoxuan had been leading the refining process this time.

However, at this moment, Shi Ling's heart was thumping. He didn't know why, but at this moment, he actually had the same bad feeling as Gongsun Yun. It was as if something was about to happen.

Shi Ling immediately shook his head. He was still in the refining stage, how could he be distracted? Then he looked at the purple incense in front of him.

Honestly speaking, the purple incense was indeed the main ingredient of the Spirit Flame Pill. Even after being heated by the Star Flame for such a long time, it was still unable to soften it. This made Shi Ling and Gongsun Xiaoxuan somewhat troubled.

At this moment, Gongsun Xiaoxuan said, "Increase the traction force of the stars!"

Shi Ling heard this and nodded his head. He changed his hand seal again and a stream of star power descended from the sky and poured into Shi Ling's body. Shi Ling filtered the star power and sent it into Gongsun Xiaoxuan's body.

When the temperature of the Star Flame increased, Shi Ling could see that the impurities in the purple incense were being refined bit by bit. Watching the black filth being completely burnt by the Star Flame, Shi Ling and Gongsun Xiaoxuan's nervous expression finally eased a little.

However, Shi Ling suddenly opened his eyes at this moment. When he looked at the purple incense, he immediately cried out, "Xiaoxuan, be careful!"

Gongsun Xiaoxuan still hadn't reacted. When she looked at the purple incense, she saw that the impurities inside it were actually mixed with black gas, which flowed into her body along with the starfire.

When Gongsun Xiaoxuan saw this, she muttered in her heart, "Poison!"

There was no mistake, someone had actually buried poison within that purple incense. If someone refined that incense, it would trigger the poison within the incense and poison the person who refined it.

When Gongsun Xiaoxuan thought of this, she hurriedly cut off the flame. However, she was still a step too late. The black air that was contained within the flame flowed into Gongsun Xiaoxuan's mouth and nose the moment it disappeared.

Lili suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood and was sent flying backwards. Shi Ling stopped and exclaimed, "Xiaoxuan!"
