As the week rolled along, Jules and I made plans to try out a restaurant newly opened at the west end. Reviews raved about their fried chicken waffles and I was buzzing with anticipation. I loved fried anything really. Nelly eyed my getup of t-shirt and denim, a skeptical frown etching her brows.

“Aren’t you going a bit too casual?” She critiqued, never one to miss a fashion police moment
