“Anita?” Anna opened the door, astonished.

“Yes.” Anita entered, smiling. “You weren’t expecting me?”

“Should I have?” Anna shut the door behind her. “You gave me a pretty thorough brush-off last time we talked.”

“Maybe I should’ve stuck to that,” said Anita, going into the living room.
