There was a land in the north that was particularly lush with water plants called the Great Grasslands, and this area near the swamp was the only place in the north that people knew could accommodate all the livestock of the various tribes at the same time. In other words, whoever grasped this piece of land would become the lord of the grassland, the leader of all wolves.
