“Adam, where are you? What is it? Are you okay?” Arabella immediately answered her phone and bombarded Adam with questions.

“Mom, I’m fine. I called because I’m worried about you. Where are you?” Adam sounded on the other line. His tone was like a worried adult.

Her heart had regained its calm.
