Chapter X The Way of Immortal Cultivation

Everyone stood at the foot of the stairs while the elder stood at the top of the stairs. He looked at everyone below the stage as if he was looking at an inkling of something, and then said in an aged voice, "Do you all want to take me as your master?"

The crowd below the stage naturally agreed.

The elder's surname was Han, and he was a famous book. He was one of the three great protectors of the Mysterious True Sect, an expert in the middle phase of the Jindan Stage.

Looking at the crowd below, Han Ben's face carried a hint of coldness as he coldly said, "Disciples, although my Mysterious True Sect will treat you sincerely if you come to our sect today to seek advice, everyone will not be able to obtain this Immortal Cultivation Path. It is to find a disciple with better spiritual roots that you can enter our sect and become a disciple."

When Han Ben saw the silence below the stage, he listened attentively. His stern old face finally calmed down a bit and continued, "So, if you want to join my sect, you need to take the exam. Only with better spiritual roots can you join my sect!"

Han Ben was the one in charge, so he told these new arrivals a lot of things about the path of cultivation.

For example, there were different levels of cultivation.

The Immortal World was divided into four realms. This time, the three realms were: Qi Cultivation!

The so-called Qi Cultivation was to gather the spiritual Qi of Heaven and Earth, replenish his own body, and remove the mundane, turbid Qi from his body. And this spiritual energy could extend one's lifespan, water their spiritual roots, and feel the dao of the world.

Therefore, Qi Cultivation Stage was the foundation of the cultivation world. Only when one reached the peak of the tenth level could they break through the bottleneck and enter the Foundation Establishment Stage.

Therefore, the path of cultivation often focused on Qi Cultivation. Only by laying down that foundation would one be able to peek into the Dao of Immortality and achieve Immortal Ascension in the future.

The Second World of Immortal Cultivation was divided into three parts: Foundation Establishment, Aurous Core, and Nascent Soul!

From the Qi Cultivation Stage to the Foundation Establishment Stage, this change was substantial, and was also a change to the nature of a cultivator. Only when you have reached the Foundation Establishment stage will it mean that you are fated to walk the path of immortality and have peeked the path of immortality. To put it more bluntly, it means that you have hope of becoming an immortal.

Of course, this was only a chance.

This was because when a cultivator achieved the Dao of immortality, they had always been acting against the heavens. When a cultivator achieved enlightenment, they naturally had to face many difficulties; it was extremely difficult. In fact, the path of Immortal cultivation was ten times more dangerous than the path of ordinary people. The path of cultivation was filled with both cunning and cunning, as well as the law of the jungle. On the path of cultivation, whoever had the biggest fist would become the ruler.

From the Foundation Establishment stage to the Nascent Soul stage is the transformation of a cultivator's nature. If you can smoothly advance at this stage, then you will reach the realm of Immortal Ascension in the future.

However, the upper level of cultivation was the upper realm. This stage was divided into three parts: exit from the body, split the soul, and merge into the body!

If one could reach this high level, then it would be no different from stepping into the Immortal World. One would be able to live for hundreds of years, and could even be considered an old monster level character.

However, it was not easy to reach this realm. Even Yun Tian, who had been a cultivator for more than a hundred years, had only reached the late stage of Nascent Soul.

It was not easy to make an appearance during this period.

During this period of time, the cultivator needed to condense the purest spiritual energy in the world so that his primordial spirit could leave his body and freely roam the world in search of the dao. The breakthrough was immediately followed by the soul fragments, which were the large success stage of the Primordial Spirit exiting the body.

If one could freely separate the primordial spirit, then this kind of strength would be extremely tyrannical in the cultivation world. It could be said that one would rarely be a match for someone like that.

From ancient times until now, very few people had ever reached this level. As for merging them together, it would be even more difficult.

The fusion was like possession. After the origin soul left the body, the origin soul would enter the body, drive out the origin soul, take over the body, and become a body.

If it reached this level, it would be eternal life.

However, this body stage cultivator was still lacking. That was, during possession, if he met someone with extremely strong spiritual energy, his own origin soul would suffer a backlash and would be easily dispersed. It couldn't be said that he would truly be indestructible!

Then what is indestructible, but the same life as the heavens?

It was the highest level of Immortal Cultivation. The grand achievement of tribulation would allow a Loose Immortal to ascend!

Upon reaching the tribulation level, one would have to face the final hurdle of cultivation. That was the stage of mastery for one's tribulation; one would have to face the Celestial Tribulation. If one cultivated against the heavens, they would naturally be punished by the heavens. Then calamity would befall the heavens, and this calamity would befall a master at the Mastery Stage.

If they could survive the great tribulation, they would be able to become Loose Immortals. They would be able to live with the Heavens for hundreds of years and live for tens of thousands of years without being extinguished!

Ge Chen was stunned by the side. He faintly felt that if he were to ascend to the Immortal Realm one day, wouldn't he be immortal forever? To be able to enjoy everything in the world, how could this not be magnificent?!

However, it was naturally not as simple as what Elder Han had said. There were definitely tens of thousands of obstacles and they were definitely not as simple as what he had said.

Ge Chen was also confused, but he understood a lot about the path of cultivation.

However, Elder Han did not introduce the spirit root. He could not help but ask, "Elder Han, what do you mean by 'spirit root'?"

After being interrupted by this brat, the old fellow was not angry. Instead, he glanced at Ge Chen. It was rare for this brat to be so interested, so he started to introduce the spirit roots to the crowd.

The so-called spiritual roots are actually very simple as well. Of course, this perception is your own comprehension of the dao, which is also your understanding of the world's spirit energy.

Only a person with enlightenment of the Dao would be able to utilize the spiritual energy in this world, and thus gain the Dao. Only then would one be able to become an Immortal.

But then again, spiritual roots were extremely rare.

Generally speaking, spiritual roots were the five attributes that gave birth to all living things: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth! If you have metal-type spiritual roots, then the magic you cultivate will naturally be metal-type. Wooden type spiritual roots will have to cultivate wood-type martial arts. This cannot be changed.

However, there were different types of spiritual roots. Whoever had the best spiritual roots would have the highest chance of obtaining the Dao, and the time to ascend to the tribulation would also be fast.

Of course, there were also some strange talents who were born with multi-attribute spiritual roots and were known as Holy Spirit Roots. However, this kind of person was extremely rare. Even in this Floating Cloud Country, the Nether Continent was extremely rare. If it was a kid with the holy spirit root descending into the world, hmph, the big sects would rather break their brains to fight for it!

Thus, generally speaking, those who had spiritual roots of a single attribute would be treated as treasures by the various cultivation sects, and they would cultivate in their own hands.

However, even if you have Spiritual Roots, you might not necessarily be able to achieve Immortal Ascension. This still requires your hard work and your ability to sense the Spiritual Qi of Heaven and Earth. The effects of training varied greatly as well. It would be difficult to break through the bottleneck of the Qi Cultivating Stage.

This was the reason why cultivators were so rare, and it was also the reason why these fellows were destined to be high and mighty.

In this way, a disciple with spiritual roots who could cultivate to perfection was truly rare!

After listening to all of this, Ge Chen finally understood the gist of it and couldn't help but let out a long sigh.

It seemed that the path of Immortal cultivation was bumpy. Who knew who could ascend to Immortal Ascension!

This old man talked for a long time. Seeing that his disciples were getting tired of him, he decided to stop talking and not waste any more time. After all, only a very small number of people would be able to get into the sect, so there was no point in talking too much.

Looking at the crowd below, Elder Han smiled, and then said in a deep voice, "Alright, now line up and begin the spiritual roots test!"
