C12 Don't You Think It's Stinky?

When Jiang Nuan arrived at the martial dojo, many of the students were already in place. The morning class was for adults, which was relatively relaxed, allowing Jiang Nuan to focus on her surroundings. It was then she noticed her colleagues giving her odd looks for some reason.

At lunchtime, Jiang Nuan went to the staff cafeteria alone, still experiencing those peculiar stares, leaving her puzzled. It wasn't until her colleague, Da Bai, hurriedly pulled her into a secluded corner that she learned the truth. Apparently, Lee Xiao and Zhao Yan had concocted a story to cover for their own mischief when they couldn't find her the previous day.

"Nuan, you wouldn't believe it," Da Bai said, clicking his tongue in disbelief. "Yesterday, Zhao Yan put on quite the performance, acting like you had run off with someone else. It nearly alarmed all the teachers and students in the evening class. If I weren't friends with you on social media, I wouldn't have known they were just playing around with some wild story!"

It turned out that after Jiang Nuan left the previous evening, Zhao Yan had rushed into the dojo after the evening class, looking for her. At that moment, Lee Xiao conveniently appeared, feigning surprise and telling Zhao Yan that Jiang Nuan didn't have an evening class and had left right after work. Then, pretending to slip up, Lee Xiao mentioned that a student's parent had invited Jiang Nuan to dinner, and she had seemed particularly pleased, even dressing up before leaving.

Upon learning everything, Jiang Nuan was furious. Yes, a student's parents did invite her to dinner because their family was moving abroad, but that was after her last class two days ago. As for dressing up before leaving work, Jiang Nuan found it incredibly ironic. If Zhao Yan hadn't said he wanted to introduce her to some friends yesterday, why would she have bothered to dress up?

"Nuan, don't be too upset. If Lee Xiao is such a master at playing innocent, what are you worried about? We've dealt with plenty of fakes before!" Da Bai said, patting her shoulder. "Let them be. It's not worth your energy!"

"I'm not angry, just regretful I didn't see through their act sooner," Jiang Nuan sighed, her tone suddenly turning bitter. "I feel like such a fool! How could I not be mad?"

With that, she opened her phone and sent the scandalous photos she took last night to the dojo's group chat. Da Bai, shocked, quickly grabbed her phone and retracted the messages. "Are you out of your mind? Posting that in the company chat makes you look bad, not Lee Xiao!"

Jiang Nuan, realizing her mistake, decided to take it a step further. She saved a fake promotional QR code from a hacked friend's chat and, with a flick of her finger, sent it to everyone in the group.

Big White watched her swift movements, utterly stunned. "You got it, you win."

The two chatted for a bit longer. Feeling a bit sleepy, Jiang Nuan held hands with Big White and headed to the lounge. On the way, they ran into someone familiar.

Lee Xiao.

Jiang Nuan looked at her with a calm expression, not intending to speak. But as they passed each other, Lee Xiao reached out to stop her. "Nuan, what's your connection with the person whose license plate is 6888?"

Jiang Nuan didn't respond, just frowned at her.

"What's up? I saw you getting out of his car this morning, just curious. It's fine if you don't want to talk about it," Lee Xiao said with an innocent smile.

"You want to know who he is?" Jiang Nuan couldn't suppress her mischievous side. Big White, standing nearby, couldn't help but grin at her playful look.

"I just wanted to mention, since you've been with Mr. Yan for so long, suddenly not coming home and getting out of another guy's car, I'm worried you might be going down the wrong path." As more people gathered around, Lee Xiao's voice grew louder. Her pitiful expression might have fooled Jiang Nuan into thinking she was genuinely concerned if she didn't already know Lee Xiao's true nature.

"Thanks for your concern, but I won't stray, and I definitely won't be caught in a compromising situation with a friend's boyfriend in the ladies' room!" Jiang Nuan's last words were deliberate and strong. "The dojo's ladies' room isn't exactly clean. Didn't it smell bad in there, or is that just your thing?"
