C16 Flat-day

Seeing Edwin Carter be so rich, Jane Ronan looked around and asked curiously, "Edwin Carter, what did you do in the past?"

"They do pretty much all the business that makes money," Edwin Carter said.

What he said was the truth. The restaurant, restaurant, real estate, tourism, film and television companies, electronic technology, etc.

Jane Ronan didn't know the truth, but she thought he was just being perfunctory, so she wasn't in the mood to ask.

Edwin Carter was very busy.

After getting on the car, he turned on the computer to process some documents, while the work phone beside him rang non-stop.

The car drove for about ten minutes, and he had probably already received more than ten calls. Edwin Carter spoke fluent English.

Previously, when she was in university, Jane Ronan's English was also above level 6, but she didn't understand much about Edwin Carter's business language.

He could faintly hear him issuing some orders. His words were sharp, but his decision was quick and accurate.

Innovative technology had only been developed in the past two years, and the business had yet to go overseas. Jane Ronan guessed that Edwin Carter was dealing with his own business.

After about half an hour, Edwin Carter finally stopped. He turned his head and looked at Jane Ronan: "What are you thinking about?"

It was rare for him to open his mouth and chat with her. Jane Ronan smiled. "I was wondering who you have in your family."

Jane Ronan never thought about asking Edwin Carter's family members before. Maybe it was because he trusted her so unconditionally yesterday, which made her want to know more about him.

Edwin Carter paused for a moment and said, "There's a grandfather and parents above, and a younger sister that doesn't know anything."

When Edwin Carter talked about his sister, he even gritted his teeth as if he was enduring something.

Jane Ronan became interested and asked again, "An ignorant sister? "How can you be so ignorant?"

Edwin Carter frowned and didn't want to bring it up again.

They had been registered for almost a month, but Edwin Carter had never mentioned taking her to see her parents. Now that she asked, he didn't want to say it.

He didn't want to mention his family in front of Edwin Carter because something like that had happened in his family.

It was also because he didn't have a good relationship with his family? Or was there another reason?

Jane Ronan didn't want to think in a bad way, but she didn't believe that there were so many coincidences in the world. Edwin Carter probably didn't want to bring her to see her family.

Thinking this way, Jane Ronan pursed her lips and no longer asked.

After a while, she heard Edwin Carter say, "Jane Ronan, my family is not in the country. When they come back in a few days, I'll take you to see them."

Jane Ronan smiled. "That's not what I meant."

Edwin Carter asked, "Then what do you mean?"

Jane Ronan was left speechless.

Two hours later, their car finally returned to the city of Dreamscape, where they lived.

After getting off the car, Jane Ronan planned to go to the supermarket to get some daily necessities and ingredients.

Edwin Carter, who was still busy, put down the documents in his hands and got off the car with her, "I'll go with you."

Seeing how busy he was, Jane Ronan could not bear to see him. "Go ahead and do what you need to do. I'll go alone. "

Edwin Carter glanced at her before taking the lead to walk away. He even left a sentence behind: "Your husband isn't pretentious."

Jane Ronan helplessly shook her head and followed along.

Edwin Carter pushed the cart and walked to Jane Ronan's left.

Whispers of discussion came from the surroundings. "That man is so handsome. He's so charming."

Jane Ronan couldn't help but look up at him, smiling so hard that her eyebrows curved. "Someone is praising you."

Edwin Carter replied coldly, "I don't need them to praise me."

Jane Ronan curled her lips and asked, "Then who do you need to praise?"

Edwin Carter lowered his head and looked at her. Jane Ronan's face turned red again as she whispered, "You're really good-looking. You're the most good-looking man I've ever seen."

Jane Ronan was speaking the truth, but she didn't dare meet his gaze when she spoke. This was because this man's eyes were too sharp, it was as if he could see through a person's heart.

After a brief silence, she heard him say, "Well, I know."

Jane Ronan quietly rolled her eyes at him. What kind of person was this? He asked her to praise him, and she praised him, so that was his answer.

After a round, they strolled to the fresh area. Jane Ronan picked out a grass carp and prepared to cook it into a good boiled fish for Edwin Carter to taste.

She pointed at the fish she had chosen and said gently, "Master, I'll trouble you to help me fish this fish. Help me slice the fish as well."

The fishmonger was a young man, and when he saw Jane Ronan, his face turned red. He nodded his head, and quickly killed the fish and sliced off their scales. Finally, he took a few bags and put the fish into his hands, handing them over to Jane Ronan.

Jane Ronan received the fish with a smile. "Thank you!"

Leaving the fish stall, Jane Ronan walked to the vegetables area. Just as she walked two steps, she suddenly heard Edwin Carter's deep voice, "You're quite popular."

Jane Ronan put her hand on Edwin Carter's arm, raised her eyebrows and smiled, "Because I'm also very outstanding."

Edwin Carter's body paused for a moment. He pulled out his arm to hold her hand and continued to lead her around.

After buying the necessities, the task of taking the bag after settling the bill naturally fell on Edwin Carter.

Jane Ronan smiled sweetly when she saw that his hands were not empty while she felt extremely relaxed. She thought to herself, "It's really good to have such a considerate husband."

She also noticed a very touching little detail. Edwin Carter didn't bring his work phone when he came to the supermarket with her.

Along the way, the two of them did not have any more conversations. When they got home, Edwin Carter put the ingredients he bought into the kitchen and said, "I'll cook with you tonight."

Jane Ronan looked at him and smiled, "You should be the one in charge of washing the dishes." "Besides, I'll just make two dishes and it'll be ready soon."

She felt that Edwin Carter's presence would affect her performance, so it was better to keep him at a distance.

Edwin Carter thought for a while. He really wasn't good at cooking, so he had to listen to Jane Ronan.

Jane Ronan first cooked rice in a pot, washed vegetables and seasonings, and then cooked fish in water.

Other people like to put bean sprouts in boiled fish and vegetables, but Jane Ronan especially likes to add some onions in it.

It didn't take long before the fish came out of the pot. Jane Ronan tasted it first and felt that the taste wasn't bad. That was why she called Edwin Carter, who was still busy with work, out for a meal.

Due to her previous experience, Jane Ronan prepared a pair of chopsticks.

She took the chopsticks and gave Edwin Carter some fish and some onions. She blinked at him and said, "Quickly try it and see if it's good."

Edwin Carter looked at the onion and frowned. The hand holding the chopsticks didn't move at all.

Jane Ronan noticed and asked nervously, "You don't like onions?"

"Nope." He didn't know what kind of mentality Edwin Carter had, but he wasn't willing to admit that he was allergic to onions in front of Jane Ronan.

Recalling that he didn't eat Jane Ronan's food last time, she was angry and stayed at her friend's house for the whole night. If I don't eat it this time …

Thinking about that, Edwin Carter looked up at Jane Ronan. When he saw her eyes, he did not think too much and immediately picked up his chopsticks to eat.
