"Sleep well", Mrs Ajayi said as the girls stood up and walked to their rooms.

"Goodnight" Tamiloore said, "And sleep early" she added with a knowing smile.

Semiloore turned the lock of her room door before walking straight to her laptop and powering it on. She typed in her password and the desktop window was shown.

3:30am

Semiloore yawned as closed her laptop

"How am I expected to wake up early for church tomorrow?" Semiloore groaned to herself as she removed her phone from the charger and plopped on her bed and in a minute she was gone.

7:45am

"You look like a gruffy old lady" Tamiloore joked as Semiloore played with her bread.

"Whatever" Semiloore replied as she drained her tea.

"Let's go" Mrs Ajayi said walking out of the passage.

"Are we the ones opening the church?" Semiloore asked sarcastically.

"No, but as a worker and a new one at that, I can't be late" Mrs Ajayi replied.

"Then go now,we'll meet you" Semiloore replied with a pout.

"Don't test my patience this morning, ma je kin fi ekaran no e o" Mrs Ajayi said anger evident in her voice. (in English means - Don't let me be harsh on you)

Semiloore swallowed her saliva as she picked up her bag. Her mom was a great mom and never got angry at them at least, she rarely got angry but whenever she did, she didn't look funny.

"Let's go" Mrs Ajayi said firmly.

Semiloore slipped her arms in her mom's as she asked.

"Are you still angry?".

Mrs Ajayi glanced at her meaning to talk but smiled when she saw her eyes.

"Just get in the car" Mrs Ajayi said with a sigh.

The new gateman opened the gate as her mom drove the Lexus Jeep out. They followed the GPS lead and soon came to a huge church.

"I've got to admit that this church is quite huge" Tamiloore said.

"Seems like the headquarters" Semiloore added.

"Breakthrough parish" Tamiloore read out.

Mrs Ajayi parked in the parking lot and they got down. Another huge church but smaller was at the side and the girls could see teenagers entering.

"I guess that's the teenagers church" Tamiloore said, her lips curving up slightly.

"Yeah, It is" Semiloore replied.

"I'll see you two after service and Semiloore no trouble" Mrs Ajayi said fixing a stern gaze on Semiloore.

Semiloore raised her hands up in defence while Tamiloore laughed. "Let's go" Tamiloore said as they started walking towards the smaller church.

Tamiloore walked into the church first as almost everyone turned to her.

"Hey, guys isn't that the girl of yesterday? "

"She's the one"

"Her dress sense is mad o"

"I don't think she's the one oo, this one looks gentle"

Tamiloore glanced at the boys and around looking for an empty chair.

"She doesn't even recognize us"

"And she looks like her o"

Tamiloore checked her sides and couldn't find Semiloore.

Don't tell me she ditched Sunday service.

Tamiloore shook her head as she found two empty seats. Semiloore soon walked in with another girl.

"Semiloore" Tamiloore called and then waved attracting attention.

"She's a twin mehn"

"They are so identical"

"Its unidentical" Frank said with a scoff

"Na you know oo"

"Do you guys want to fight here?"

Semiloore sat down as Tolani sat next to her.

"She looks just like you;Hi am Tolani" Tolani introduced.

"Tamiloore" Tamiloore replied with a big smile.

"Nice to meet you" Tolani added.

"My pleasure" Tamiloore replied.

Semiloore glared at the boys and hissed quietly.

"We should apologize"

"Just say you just want to be her friend"

"Anything oo"

The boys walked up to the duo after church service.

"Hi"

"What do you want?" Semiloore asked.

"Semiloore, be polite" Tamiloore chided slowly.

"To these morons?" Semiloore asked in mock horror.

"Semiloore" Tamiloore scolded.

"We are sorry about yesterday"

"That's more like it" Semiloore replied with a snarl.

"What happened?" Tamiloore asked with a surprised look.

Tamiloore asked and Frank explained.

"Ohh" Tamiloore said giving the boys a hard look.

"I'm Frank" Frank introduced.

"Kola" Kola said.

"Peter" Peter said

"George" George added.

"Tamiloore, this is my twin sister Semiloore" Tamiloore replied.

"Nice to meet you" George said.

"Did you guys just move here?" Frank asked.

"Yes, yesterday precisely" Tamiloore replied.

"Whoa, from?" Frank asked again.

"Lag" Tamiloore replied.

"Lag?" Kola asked.

"Why would someone leave that bubbling city for a boring place like Akure?" Kola asked on surprise.

"We all have our preferences and boredom may be just we need at the moment" Tamiloore replied.

"How many hours do your church service take?" Semiloore asked snapping.

"They should be almost done" George replied

"God, I'm starving" Semiloore replied.

"The church has a shop, lets go get something" George offered.

"The church has a shop?" Semiloore asked.

"That's really cool" Tamiloore said.

The car horned about four times before the gateman opened the gate.

"What were you doing?" Tamiloore asked the man who appeared to be in his early twenties.

"I no sabi say na this place them dey horn" he replied in pidgin ( he said he didn't know the horn was coming from the front of the house)

"Next time do not keep us waiting" Tamiloore warned,pissed off.

"Leave him jare" Semiloore said as she walked to the door and opened it.

The girls sat around the table and ate in silence.

"I'm sorry you guys had to start school so soon"Mrs Ajayi said with an apologetic look.

"Its okay mom, we are fine" Semiloore said with a smile.

A white fluffy dog came running into the dinning and climbed into Semiloore's lap.

"Hey Jero, you disappeared this morning, I know you are hungry, mom I'll go feed him" Semiloore said as she carried the dog and walked away.

Tamiloore came plopping on her bed few minutes later.

"I searched up about our new school" Tamiloore started.

"And?" Semiloore asked.

"Its one of the best in the state, precisely, It's ranked number four" Tamiloore replied.

"That's cool" Semiloore said nodding her head.

"I know and the fact that the school bus will be picking up us at the gate tomorrow morning is creepy" Tamiloore said.

"I mean we aren't primary schools kids" Semiloore added with a 'duh' look.

"The school likes to ensure their students hundred percent safety so they insist on taking them from their doorstep and dropping them there" Tamiloore replied.

"The bus will be here at 7:15" Tamiloore added.

"Okay" Semiloore said.

"What should we wear?" Tamiloore asked.

"Let's just wear our camo" Semiloore replied.

"Camo?" Tamiloore asked.

"Yes, no solider will be seeing us in a school bus please" Semiloore replied as Jero crawled to her feet again.

"Okay, I'll go pack my school bag" Tamiloore replied.

Semiloore nodded as Tamiloore stood up and left. Semiloore pulled the dog into her lap as she pulled her school bag. She slipped the pack of higher education into her bag and her pen case at another side.

She packed her calculator and the textbooks she might need and on the second thought she dropped everything,the school should provide.

Joining any school in the middle of SSS2 first term wasn't easy but seeing their previous records. The school was very impressed and agreed to accept them despite the condition that made them leave their former school.

Tamiloore was in Arts class while Semiloore was in Science class. Semiloore opened her phone and tapped on her whatsapp;a frown appeared on her face as she saw a notification.

Half life and you have been removed from HICOL LAG.

"I helped that idiot and this is what I get in return" Semiloore murmured to herself as she pressed on the group and clicked on delete.

"Its better when you are all gone assholes" Semiloore said to herself as she dropped her phone and ran her fingers through Jero's skin.

"Do you want a bath? You are still very clean though" Semiloore asked.

The dog curled more in her arms and Semiloore plooped on the bed with it.

"Let's get some rest Jero"
