"Why is the bus stopping at this house?" One of the students asked.

"Didn't you guys hear that we have new students?" Another said.

"New students?" Someone asked in surprise.

"SSS2? In the middle of first term?" The former asked again.

"That's suicidal" Joshua said and everyone laughed.

"What's taking them so long?" Someone snapped with impatience.

The gate opened and Tamiloore stepped out.

"Whoa!" Someone exclaimed.

The bus door opened and Tamiloore moved closer to it.

"Semiloore!" Tamiloore yelled.

"I'm right behind you" a voice replied startling the students.

Tamiloore walked inside the bus wearing a small smile as she found an empty seat and sat down.

The students eyes went wide when Semiloore stepped out. Semiloore turned and wanted to close the gate when something came crawling at her feet.

"Jero" Semiloore said as she picked the dog up and ruffled his fur " Be a good boy and off you go" Semiloore said and dropped the dog. The dog wagged its small tail and walked inside.

"Close the gate" Semiloore told the gateman as she walked into the bus, her eyes scanning for an empty seat.

"Prisca, can you make space for her, please?" Peter said and Semiloore turned to the speaker.

"Whoa! Its lousy" Semiloore snickered as she sat down.

"Lousy? " someone asked.

"Do you two know each other?" Another asked again.

"Of course not and my name is Peter not lousy" Peter replied pissed.

"Ohh" Semiloore replied shaking her head.

"Yeah right" Peter added.

"Is that your twin sister?" Prisca asked and Semiloore nodded.

"You guys look pretty cool" Prisca commented earning a small smile from Semiloore.

"Our new students look cool"Joshua said.

"Sometimes I wonder why God gave you a brain without sense" John said out loud and everyone burst into laughter.

"John!" Joshua said pissed off.

"You gossip too much" John countered.

"That's enough guys" Nathaniel said a small smile on his lips.

"When I do my own back, no vex oo" Joshua said in pidgin(means when he gets revenge, Johon must not get angry).

"Wetin you wan do?" (Means what are you going to do) John asked as Joshua nodded his head.

"Stop looking for his trouble, you know you'll lose even in a insult contest" Nathaniel said to Joshua while John burst into laughter.

"At least Nath agrees" John said.

Joshua huffed "Whatever" Joshua replied.

The bus drove into the school compound and on its walls were engraved OXFORD COLLEGE.

The bus came to an halt and the door opened and the students trooped outside and started walking towards their classes.

"How do we find the principal's office?" Tamiloore asked.

"Hey Lousy" Semiloore called.

Peter whipped his head towards her angrily, "Its Peter not lousy" Peter replied.

"Whatever, where's the principal's office?" Semiloore asked.

"Is that how to ask for a favor?" Peter asked.

"Just where is it?" Semiloore replied.

"Be polite" Peter replied.

"The classes will start soon, could you please tell us?" Tamiloore asked politely.

"I'm only doing this because of your pretty sister" Peter replied.

"Let's go, I'll take you there" Peter added.

"Either ways, you are taking us there" Semiloore replied with a smile.

Peter huffed and started walking while the duo followed.

The class quietened down as the class teacher entered with Semiloore. The class started murmuring as they took in her appearance.

"This is your class" the man said to Semiloore "You'll be seating beside Peter" the man added.

Semiloore frowned "Can I seat elsewhere sir?" Semiloore asked.

"Why? You don't want to seat with a boy?" The man asked.

Semiloore frowned at the class teacher "Excuse me? Who thinks like that in this century?" Semiloore asked in disbelief.

The whole class burst into laughter while the class teacher's face flushed.

"I just don't want to seat with him" Semiloore replied.

"Ohh" the man said still embarrassed.

"Never mind, I'll just seat with him" Semiloore said walking towards Peter.

"Okay" The man said.

"Thanks class.... " Semiloore started as she paused midway.

"Mr Williams" Mr Williams finished for her.

"Okay, thanks Mr Williams" Semiloore said as she walked to her seat with all eyes on her.

"You get to be my seatmate, how unfortunate" Peter started.

"Just shut up okay?" Semiloore said her brows shot up.

The class had four rows, the two rows in the middle had double seats while the first and last rows were single seats.

"You didn't introduce yourself" someone said as she stood up and sat on the table.

"Her name is Semiloore" Peter replied.

"I wasn't asking you" the girl replied.

"He answered already" Semiloore replied.

"A introduction should be like your name, former school, hobbies and stuffs like that" another guy said.

"So what's the name of your former school?" The girl asked.

"You won't know it even if I told you" Semiloore replied.

"Its probably a public school" Peter sneered and everyone laughed.

"Is it really a public school? Don't worry we don't discriminate" the girl said with a small smile.

Seriously? What kind of creepy idiots are you guys?.

Semiloore shook her head at them.

"Just tell us the name of the school" the guy pestered.

"Hicol Lag" Semiloore replied and the class fell silent.

"Hicol Lag?" The girl asked in shock.

"You mean Hilltop College, Lagos?" The girl asked again.

"Whoa!" The guy exclaimed.

"That school is totally cool mehn" Someone said.

"Whoa!I wasn't expecting that" Peter replied viewing Semiloore differently.

"Of course you think backwards" Semiloore replied as the whole class burst into laughter.

"Do you have to insult him? You've been insulting him since in the bus" a girl said obviously irritated.

"He's not complaining so mind your fucking business" Semiloore said in an icy tone.

"Blood of Jesus" someone exclaimed as the class roared with laughter.

"Na who they give that one?" Another student asked. ( means who was just salvaged).

The whole class went boos and laughter.

"Rolake, pele o" someone said with mockery in her tone. (means sorry).

Rolake eyed Semiloore before turning away in fury.

Joshua frowned as he shook his head, "I've never met a girl with such a sharp mouth, kai" Joshua said.

Nathaniel shrugged.

"Such a waste of face sha" John added.

"Waste of face?" Joshua asked.

"Accept it or not, you and I know she's really pretty except for her bad mouth part" John replied.

A teacher walked in and the class stood up to greet.

"Good morning ma'am" the class greeted.

"Good morning guys" the female teacher replied.

She wore jeans trousers and sort of crop cardigan but she had tucked in her singlet so even if the top went up while writing something on the board all you would see was black. She was obviously a corper.

She turned to the class and was about to talk when her eyes landed on Semiloore.

"Are you a new student?" She asked.

"Yeah" Semiloore replied.

She smiled slightly "My name is Amaka Okoye and am your English teacher for this term" Miss Amaka said.

"Okay ma" Semiloore replied.

"Aren't you scared you are gonna get caught with your camo top?" Miss Amaka asked with a small smile.

"Its not like soldiers roam about this area or check inside school buses" Semiloore replied and Miss Amaka and other students laughed.

"Okay class, let's get to today's topic" Mrs Amaka said turning to the board.

She was surprisingly and interesting teacher and Semiloore found out she actually liked her class.

The bell was soon rang and she left.

"Hey, give me all your notes, let me see what you have covered this term" Semiloore said.

"Can't you just call my name?" Peter asked through clenched teeth.

"Are you going to give me the notes or let me tell the whole class you couldn't catch a ball I kicked?" Semiloore asked in mockery.

Peter fumed as he zipped open his bag and slammed his notes on the table.
