C11 Thunder Blade
With Doggie's assistance, Bai Piao acquired an assortment of dark items. Once they reached a secluded corner, Doggie scanned the surroundings, giving Bai Piao the all-clear to don the new attire. Fully clad, Bai Piao was enveloped in a pitch-black coat, his appearance concealed by a black bamboo hat, a black robe, and even black socks. Selling such a valuable item necessitated a disguise, and the quality of his gear was impressive, effectively shielding him from the prying eyes of skilled onlookers.
Leading the way, Doggie emerged from the corner and guided Bai Piao to the Treasure House. They quickly reached the imposing twenty-story edifice. Following Doggie's earlier directions, Bai Piao selected an entrance and stepped through. He was immediately transported to a shadowy realm, a clever security measure by the Treasure House to ensure the seller's safety through random teleportation.
A momentary wave of dizziness passed, and Bai Piao found himself in a dimly lit chamber, illuminated by a single unique candle affixed to the wall. Before him was an opening no larger than a bank teller's window.
"What would you like to auction?" inquired a deep-voiced elder, unfazed by Bai Piao's dark garb.
Without a word, Bai Piao feigned retrieving an item from his Storage Ring, producing the Grade 5 Thunder Blade. The presence of the magic treasure caused the elder's eyes to narrow sharply.
"Astonishment point +12."
After placing the Thunder Blade on the counter, Bai Piao stood still, his gaze discreetly scanning the interior. He didn't catch the elder's reaction, but he sensed a slight irregularity in the man's breathing. The astonishment points were telling.
The elder, maintaining his composure, reached for the Thunder Blade, while his other hand stealthily pressed a button. Suddenly, a shadowy figure materialized behind him. The sight of the Thunder Blade, a Grade 5 magic treasure with a lightning attribute, sent ripples through the heart of the figure.
It was beyond value!
He wasn't exaggerating. The City Lord's Mansion itself would have to dig deep into its coffers to purchase such an item.
"Astonishment points +15."
Bai Piao remained unfazed; he had grown accustomed to the tally of astonishment points.
Yet his face betrayed no emotion. He merely moved his lips slightly, seemingly transmitting a message to the elder in a silent whisper.
"What's the asking price for your Grade 5 magic treasure at auction?"
The elder regarded the Thunder Blade with a casual gaze, as though it were a mere trinket.
Bai Piao was well aware of the item's steep value. The elder's nonchalance was simply a tactic to avoid inflating the price.
Bai Piao couldn't see the individual standing behind the elder.
He remained silent, extending just one finger.
His finger was sheathed in a glove, concealing the fairness of his palm from their view.
"One hundred thousand?"
The elder was taken aback. In all his years, he had never encountered such a lofty bid!
He was skeptical of the price Bai Piao implied.
Bai Piao gave no confirmation, nor did he deny it.
A careless move on Bai Piao's part could result in a significant financial loss.
Bai Piao offered no reaction. The elder hesitated to assume authority, awaiting a voice transmission from those behind him.
After a moment of contemplation, a shadowy figure spoke up unhurriedly.
"Treasure House is prepared to offer 150,000 for the Thunder Blade. Do you accept?"
"Should the Thunder Blade go to auction, the reserve price is set at 100,000. Frankly, I doubt there's anyone in all of City L who could afford the Thunder Blade."
