C4 Accident

[Congratulations Ciara, with just one move, you've managed to make the Old man of the Williams family regret his decision]

[Ah, this is only the first step, no worries. I'll make sure they regret to the last drop. But first, I need to find a back-up and change schools. I want to skip to the last year of school, that way, Maria and I could be on the same level. There's no time to waste] Ciara contemplated, a whole blueprint already running in her brain.

[Smart. I believe you were born to this] Alexandra cheered.

The trip home was silent as Kiara wanted to take time to digest what had happened. She wanted her child to live a good and comfortable life after she passed away, even if it meant they would never meet again. She even went through the pain and disgrace of being labeled a mistress by the press and let her child be known as an illegitimate child.

If she had the money and finances to go for treatment, she would, but she would rather let Ciara use up the remaining money they had to take care of themselves and provisions for school. After all, it was her first year in senior high school.

Kiara sat down dejectedly on their worn out couch as she silently watched her daughter boil some drinking water for her. It had always occurred to her how similar they were, but Ciara's timid nature made her think twice. Up until she actually saw Ciara stand up for her in front of the big shots did Kiara actually dare to reconsider, and even approve of their similarities.

It was her stubbornness that made her argue with her parents over keeping her pregnancy all those years back. Same stubbornness that made her refuse to apologize to her family, no, the Smith family, when they kicked her out. All she had was Ciara, and all Ciara had was her. She was so stupid to think of letting Ciara go live with a bunch of wolves who didn't want to accept her.

"Thank you" She said, as she accepted the glass of warm water from Ciara. "And I'm sorry" She finally mumbled.

"It's okay mother, I know you were doing it for my own good".

Then, there was silence once more. They sat, facing each other, in the small living room of their two-bedroom apartment on the first floor. It was all Kiara could afford to buy. When she left the Smith family, all she had was her private card with all her savings. Her father had confiscated the cards he gave her until she aborted her child, but Kiara didn't, leading her to banishment.

She spent more than half of her savings buying the house, at least, that meant she wouldn't have to be paying rent. Looking around to see what her life had turned to in almost seventeen years, Kiara could only sigh.

Unexpectedly, Ciara had been watching Kiara's movements and expression and could more or less figure out what was going through her mind.

"Mum, I want to get you treated" Ciara blurted, startling Kiara. "Yes, you heard me, and I promise not to do anything illegal. All I need is your blessings".

[What are you playing at?] Alexandra asked, not quite sure why she was so straightforward.

[Well, last I checked, the M city most eligible bachelor would be giving an appearance in about eight months? So, no one should know his real identity yet. He was 22 then, so should be 20 now and has spent 2 years in the throne as the Chairman and CEO of the Miller Enterprise after his parents died 10 years back. It is said he only has his Grandpa, but if I'm not mistaken, the old man died, which was how the reporters could get Maximus to come out in the open, as the only member of the prestigious Miller family]. Ciara explained.

[ …Wow, you sure read entertainment gossips a lot]

[No I don't, Maria always spoke about this Maximus person so I would know I didn't belong in a rich family like hers. So annoying!]

While Alexandra was laughing his head at Ciara's obvious disgust for her family, Kiara Smith had already broken out of her daze and was already questioning Ciara as to how she got the money for her treatment. But all Ciara said was, "Don't worry mother, I promise you, things would only get better...".

[She could even sacrifice herself for me in my past life, and now, she's still thinking of me. If I don't sell myself for her to live, then what type of child would I be?] Ciara smiled. Yes, she would rather sell herself than let her mother die.

[Sell? Your body or your life? Ciara, you can't possibly be serious]. Alexandra was getting worried, but the only thing he could do was talk, but Ciara didn't respond anymore. so he could only sit in the dark void and watch the screen in front of him in silence.

Ciara helped her mother to her room and laid her to rest before retiring to her own bedroom. Although it was already getting dark, she still had to start her search for greener pasture, and the name on the top of her list was Maximus Miller.

She checked her worn out closet and glanced through her clothes. Unfortunately, most of them were already worn out. But her attention caught a white sleeveless short dress. She remembered wearing the dress in the Williams villa in her past life. It was one of her best dresses and she had wanted to impress her parents, but Maria had tripped her, and her under-wear had been fully exposed in front of the Connor family. But that was just one of her many bad experiences in the Williams family.

With a small smile, Ciara picked the white dress and paired it up with a black sandal. Staring at her white toes, she couldn't help but sigh. Even though she grew up in a poor environment, she still seemed to have such white smooth skin and delicate features. Even her body had matured quite early. She was almost 17 and would be going to her second year of senior high school, yet, she went to a pretty poor school.

Walking out of her house in a pure white dress hanging above her knees, even the onlookers couldn't help but turn to give her a second glance. The young girl had beautiful features, a delicate face that made people want to give her cheeks a little pinch out of reflex, her long black hair was resting on her chest and collar-bone while the rest hung on her back and waist line. Her red lips looked arousing in contrast to her dark eyes. Those who looked closer would notice it looked more like a deep abys than a 16 year-old's.

[Hey, Little Cici, you're turning heads and you're not even dressed seductively. Damn, I think I have a really cunning partner] Alexandra snorted.

[Don't think. You definitely have a cunning partner and not only is she cunning, she's also pretty and knows how to use her beauty]. Ciara smiled, intensifying the effect of her beauty on people.

[Humph, narcist. I can't believe I'll be stuck with this narcist for over a thousand years] Alexandra sighed, feigning sadness.

[With a brain like mine, we'll definitely last over ten thousand years together!].

With her head slightly lowered, Ciara slowly left her neighborhood, not knowing precisely where she was going. But her main aim was to get a big shot in her hands, especially if it's by coincidental meeting.

Already tired, Ciara wanted to turn back and return home when she saw a little white kitten in the middle of the road, about to be hit by a big black car that didn't seem to be stopping.

"Shit!" She cursed before running to the middle of the road and grabbing the tiny kitten in her arms. Fortunately for her, the driver stepped on the break on time, but she was still hit by the car at the end. Still, she didn't let go of the kitten, and only then did she realize it had no collar, so it could as well be a stray.

The driver turned to speak to the frowning man in the back seat before highlighting to speak to the young lady, but unfortunately, due to the trauma of her past life, Ciara had already passed out with the kitten tight in her embrace.

Although there weren't much people on that street, it would still be wrong to leave her there so the driver went back to the car to speak to the mysterious man before putting Ciara and the cat in her tight embrace into the car.
