C1 Meeting 1

This is a beautifully decorated café.

Nuange wore a white chiffon dress, her long black hair flowing naturally down her back like silk. A pretty diamond hairpin adorned her ear, adding a simple yet serene touch to her appearance. She had a sweet, charming look, and as she entered, a slight smile revealed dimples on her cheeks, complementing her expressive eyes that seemed to speak volumes, drawing a few extra glances from those around her.

"Excuse me, where is the table reserved under the name Yu?"

Her voice was as sweet as her appearance, soft and soothing, making hearts melt.

"Please follow me."

The waiter, smiling, led this beautiful woman to the table she had reserved. Nuange smiled slightly and pushed the door open to enter.

Inside the private room sat a man. He wore a black shirt, and his black hair added to the quiet impression he gave at first glance.

Upon hearing the door open, the man looked up. His eyes were very dark, not large but incredibly bright, giving the illusion that the whole world had faded away, leaving only you.

"You're here."

"Yes."

Nuange glanced casually and noticed something was off about his eyes. Although he accurately focused on her direction, the lack of focus in his gaze betrayed him. She raised an eyebrow, casually closed the door, and walked over to the table.

Since we can't see each other, there's no need to pretend, right?

"What would you like to drink?"

"Anything's fine."

"Then tea it is. I'm not really into coffee," Nuange said straightforwardly. The man just gave a slight smile, showing no sign of displeasure at her words, which caught her attention.

"You're not what I expected."

"Oh, really." The man's voice was low and clear, making his words feel like a gentle breeze.

Nuange hesitated, taking a closer look at the man across from her. Remembering what her stepmother had said, she frowned. Besides being blind, it seemed he couldn't walk either. What a "great match," she thought sarcastically.

Thinking of her stepmother, Nuange's lips curled into a mocking smile. "Let's discuss the terms."

"Terms?"

"Yeah, I don't want to go through with this matchmaking, but my stepmom thinks I'm just wasting food at home without contributing anything. She decided marrying me off would be best, especially to someone who wouldn't be a threat to her kids. You fit her idea perfectly."

"But I have no intention of competing with them. Still, having her dictate my life is a bit frustrating."

"Your father, he..."

"My dad? Do you think he cares about his ex-wife's daughter now that he has a new wife?" Nuange laughed bitterly. "But I'm curious, are you really here to find a wife?"

The man sitting across from her curled his lips slightly. "It's just a blind date."

The implication was clear: there was no obligation to take it any further.

"What do you think of me?"

"Since you didn't come here with genuine intentions, why ask?" he replied calmly, his tone revealing neither joy nor displeasure.

Nuange watched him, noting how he spoke with an unhurried ease, his long fingers cradling a teacup as he took a slow sip. She admired how effortlessly natural he seemed, not at all like someone with a visual impairment.

His elegance and poise were truly impressive, and it was clear her stepmother had gone to great lengths to arrange this meeting for her. However...
