C12 The Marriage Was Automatically Dissolved
His slow beating heart seemed to be seized by an invisible hand, and for a moment the color drained from his face.
He seemed to freeze, and he turned his head mechanically to ask the guard.
"What did you say?!"
Something must have gone wrong with his ears, so he didn't hear it clearly.
"The ambulance came during the day. It said a woman committed suicide. Your neighbor saw it with his own eyes. He said that the woman was carried out from your house. " What? You don't know? "
My house? Are you sure?"
The guard nodded. This was a high-class residential area in Mu City. The price of the house was very high. Every owner was very rich, and they remembered every owner.
Josiah's throat rolled a few times. For the first time in his life, he did not know what to say. He squeezed out a sentence. "Are you kidding? Today is not April Fool's Day."
He stepped on the gas and drove to the bottom of his building. He opened the door before the car could stop.
As the elevator rose, his heart was beating faster and faster.
When he reached the door, he raised his hand to press the password lock. It was a few simple numbers, but his hand was actually trembling.
Before pressing the last number, Josiah suddenly thought of the unfamiliar phone number he had called him before he turned off his phone.
When he dialed back, no one answered.
The person who called should have done it unintentionally, so why should he take it seriously?
Just as he was about to hang up, the phone finally picked up.
"Josiah, you are such a busy person."
Hearing a familiar voice, Josiah frowned. "Ryan Hale?"
He knew Olivia asked him to apply for a foreign school for Nathan. She called him "senior," but he saw it very clearly. Ryan Hale did not just treat her as a junior.
Josiah ignored the discomfort in his heart and asked, "Is Olivia with you?"
"Yes."
He was choked by Ryan Hale's confidence. He gritted his teeth and said, "Ask her to listen to the phone."
After saying that, he focused on listening to the voice over there. It was eerily quiet.
Olivia really could endure it. Nathan should be by her side.
It was late at night and there was only one man and one woman. The more Josiah thought about it, the more flustered he felt.
Ryan Hale turned on the hands-free phone and put it aside. He put on a pair of clean gloves.
"I can't do this."
"Tell her to come back immediately. Otherwise..."
"Otherwise you will let Nathan go to jail?"
Ryan Hale suddenly interrupted. He remembered what he had learned from the police, and then he thought about the conversation between his colleagues.
"Interesting. Someone actually spent money to stay in the ICU after suffering external injuries. It's a waste of medical resources."
"There's a secret behind this. We young doctors just pretend that we don't know."
Josiah used this method to threaten Olivia.
Ryan Hale pulled the corner of his mouth. "Nathan doesn't need you to worry about it."
Josiah frowned even more. That woman and her senior really talked about everything.
"Where are you?"
"The morgue."
How unlucky!
Josiah's tone was stiff. "I won't disturb your work anymore. I will come to the hospital to pick up Olivia later."
He was going to have a video conference with an important client tonight. He wanted to say tomorrow, but why should he let Olivia spend the night at Ryan Hale's place?
Ryan Hale stroked his cold body on the cold workbench. He was really in the mortuary. He never lied to anyone.
"Josiah, Olivia has a question for you."
"Why doesn't she dare to ask me in person? Does she still need you to act as a mouthpiece? " Does she still want a divorce? "
He frowned and became more and more angry. Did she think that she would change his decision if she asked someone else to persuade him?
Especially since this was a man who coveted her, it was no different than adding fuel to the fire.
Ryan Hale's eyes were wet. Divorce?
This wrong and sad marriage had automatically ended.
"Olivia asked me to ask you for her. She has paid for Joshua's life. She has given you back Joshua's blood. Can you give Nathan back to her?"
Josiah's pupils shrank. Ryan Hale's every word was like a needle in his heart.
An inexplicable fear and a frantic chill ran through him!
"I don't understand what you're talking about."
