C5 The Operation Was a Success
Dr. Lin arrived quickly. Mo Lingshuang and the others had only been in the dean's office for half an hour when her figure appeared at the door of the dean's office.
She appeared to have come running. Her pretty face was wet with sweat, her chest rose and fell, and when she had calmed down a little, she came in slowly. "You were looking for me, Abbot?"
Principal Zhang stood up and said with a smile, "Come, Lin Jin, let me introduce you. This is Chairman Hee of our Peacetime Group, our boss!"
Perhaps because he was in such a hurry to leave, he did not notice the other people in the office. Now that Principal Zhang had reminded him, he looked at Hee Ruowen and extended his long, white hand, saying, "Hello, Chairman Hee!"
Hee Ruowen did not pay any attention to the outstretched hand. Instead, he said, "There's no need to be polite. Let's get straight to the point about Mo Fu's operation!"
Lin Jin's outstretched hand froze in the air, and his delicate face turned red and green. It was an ugly sight to behold, but he could not do anything about it. He could only raise his hand to his mouth and pretend to cough. Then, he said, "Alright, what does Chairman Hee want to know?"
Hee Ruowen sat back in his chair and leaned back. He looked at her and said, "I want to know how confident Dr. Lin is about Mo Fu's operation and who is involved in it."
"I've done a few operations here in the United States, and they've all been successful, but the medical equipment in the country isn't nearly as good as in the United States, so I'm only ninety percent sure..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Hee Ruowen frowned and said casually, "90%..."
Seeing his unhappy expression, Lin immediately explained, "Although there's only a ninety percent chance of success, it's basically no problem at all. Furthermore, the director has arranged for the operation to be carried out by all of our orthopedic experts. Chairman Hee doesn't have to worry about that."
After a pause, she continued, "I'm the chief surgeon for this operation, and Deputy Director Chen Zhong is the second surgeon. He has a lot of experience in this."
The original chief surgeon had been Mo Fu's attending physician, Lin Jia, but for some reason, when he had come down from the operation, he had heard the head nurse say that there had been a change in personnel. The director had personally appointed him and Chen Zhong to perform the operation.
When he heard the news, Lin Jin was also surprised. He did not know why the dean would make such a decision, but now that he thought about it, it was probably related to Chairman Hee.
As she thought of this, she couldn't help but look at Mo Lingshuang. She knew this girl, and she was actually quite impressed with her for running around every day to pay for her brother's surgery. However, she was only twenty years old, yet she was doing something that no one else at her age would do. It was really rare.
She even knew that her doctor in charge had helped her a number of times with the department's spares, but she turned a blind eye to it.
But why was she with Chairman Hee?
Hee Ruowen was a legendary figure in the hospital, and many young girls had a crush on her. It was said that he was as cold as ice.
However, it was rare for him to help Mo Lingshuang, who lived in a poor area.
Hee Ruowen nodded in satisfaction and said, "That's for the best." Then he turned to President Zhang and said, "After Mo Fu's surgery fees, I'll ask Jing Wen to transfer it to the hospital's account. As for the later treatment fees, you just need to tell Jing Wen."
He stood up from his chair and turned to Mo Lingshuang. "It's too late for you to go, so you don't have to go. Spend some time with your brother. I'll pick you up after he's done with the operation."
Mo Lingshuang looked at Hee Ruowen in surprise. Although she didn't know why he did this, she was still grateful to him from the bottom of her heart. Mo Fu had an operation tomorrow, so she had to be by her side. Just now, she was thinking about how to explain it to him.
She had thought that she would go with him tonight. After all, she had signed the agreement, and she was going to do what she had promised him.
Mo Fu was still unconscious when Mo Lingshuang arrived at the ward. She walked up to her and gently brushed the hair that had fallen from her head. She held his hand and said softly, "Fu, don't blame me. I have no other choice. I can't watch you die in front of me..."
In the silence of the night, Mo Lingshuang's voice echoed across the room. No one answered her.
No one answered, but she continued to say, "Mom and Dad have already left us. You are the only family I have left. For you, I am willing to do anything."
On the bed, Mo Fu's eyes were closed. She didn't seem angry at all, as if Mo Lingshuang's words were not directed at him.
"Why did you get off work so early today?" Just as Mo Lingshuang was silent, a voice suddenly flashed in.
She didn't need to turn her head to know who it was. She turned her head slightly and asked in confusion, "Aren't you going to your father's house today?"
Mo Fu said snappily, "Why don't you take a look at what time it is? Why would I go to his place? Do you want to see him and that woman love each other?"
She didn't want to go to that place at all. As long as she saw that woman, she would feel uncomfortable all over. Moreover, it was because of her that her mother died, so she hated them.
Especially the man she called her father. In fact, she was conflicted. She loved him even though she hated him. That was why she wanted to run away.
Mo Lingshuang got up from her chair. Afraid of disturbing Mo Fu, she walked over to the window and slightly opened it. Only then did she say, "Don't say that. That's also your father. No matter what he did, he still loves you."
Mo Fu placed her hands on the chair before walking to Mo Lingshuang's side. She rolled her eyes at her. "When did you learn to be a peacemaker?"
After a pause, she continued, "Alright, you're going to talk about him. My mood has been ruined by you. Why did you get off work so early today? I couldn't get through to you even when I called you. "
She had been furious with Mo Lingshuang. They could have helped her, but they had to go down the wrong path. She really didn't know what to say to her.
"I have something to do today, so I got off work early." Mo Lingshuang didn't tell Mo Fu that she had become a lover, because she knew that Mo Fu's greatest pain was that her mother had been taken by a mistress and died.
She hated women who were mistresses more than anything else in her life, and she was afraid to say it, for fear that her only friend would leave her, and no one knew how much she valued that friendship.
