"Wow. I didn't know that. That's beautiful"

He said dryly. Kim didn't know why she'd told him that and she didn't regret it. Not even his sudden standoffishness made her regret it or shout that it was a joke. Which in her heart, felt it was not a joke.

The evening ended in a different way..not as hearty and chatty as it had initially been and she didn't care much.
