My phone rang. Laurence teacher was calling. "Hello, Mrs. Young." I glanced at Laurence and walked out of the kitchen to continue the call.

"Mr. Renard,sorry to bother you this morning. It's about your son, Laurence. It's a serious matter. I would like it if you would come to school today."
