C10 CHAPTER TEN

After taking the turn, they took their pace and run as fast as they could. They ran for about thirty minutes till they came across a hut and hurried inside. "Where did they pass?". The gang leader asked his fellow gangsters. "I think it's that way , let's go..., Hey, hey!, move it". They said. "Huh!". Claire gave a heavy sigh. They had missed the thugs. They found shelter and decided to spend the night over there. The hut had a small washroom and bathroom.

They later set a fire in the hut as they chatted. "....., They got it!". Adrian said. "Hahahaha!, Yeah! ...". Claire laughed. "Hahaha!, and can you believe they invited me over to escort them, can you believe it!". "Ohhh!, That's shocking ". Claire added while smiling. "You know you should laugh more often....., You look very beautiful when you laugh”. "Thanks!...". Claire said feeling a big uncomfortable. Adrian leaned in as Claire also leaned rendering them inches away from each other. In the next moment, their lips touch each other.

Their tongues tangled and went to war in their locked mouths, battling madly for dominance. Their warm lips touched, allowing their tongues to slip inside. Their bodies touched each other as the kiss lingered as they were catching their breathes. "No!, We can't do this!". Claire burst out catching her breathe. "S...., Sorry!". Adrian stammered. They were both silent till they both fell asleep.

The rays of the sunlight reflected as Claire tossed on the pine leaves as she finally darted her eyes open. She woke up to see the empty hut as she thought Adrian had escaped, leaving her astray. "Adrian!...., Adrian!...., Adrian!..., Why did he leave me here?". She screamed. After many failed trials, she gave in an sat in the ground shedding tears. She abruptly stopped crying and turned back nervously ready to screamed till death, when Adrian shush her from talking.

She hit Adrian on the chest with her fists as she cried even louder as Adrian pattered her back. "Were you trying to run away from me, I called you soo many times, there was no response". Claire sobbed. "Are you that concerned about me". "Eerrr!..., n..n..no!, That's not the point ". "Then what's the point ". Adrian asked. "I was just worried, for the sake of humanity ". Claire initiated. "Okay!, Let's head to our tent now". Adrian said as they both left to their tent.

After spending the days at the forest, they headed back to the hotel suite to freshen their selves up . After they both took their bath, Claire could see clearly that Adrian had catch a fever. She sat on the bed by Adrian and touched his forehead to feel the hot temperature of his body. "You have a fever, lie on the bed and I'll bring you some soup and hot water to massage your forehead".
