C3 CHAPTER THREE

Adrian stared at Claire as he fed her the food. "Do you know where your sister's boyfriend resides?". "Yep!, Why, do you need anything". "I was thinking of we could go and check if she is there". Adrian looked concerned as he fed Claire. "If you wish.., we can go tomorrow". Claire agreed. "No!, The doctor said you need rest for about three to four days". "Okay, then on weekends ". Claire said as Adrian agreed.

A week later, they settled off to Mila's boyfriend's house. They drove for about three to four miles before they arrived at the four floored apartment. They ascended to the last floor and finally got to the door step. There was loud music as they knocked. The door finally flipped open as a blonde haired guy with a little beared appeared. He looked stunned for a moment then later smirked at the both of them.

He let them in as he cleared the pizza boxes from the couch and offered them to sit. "Where is.....". "Your sister, right!...". He interrupted. "How much are you going to give me.., if I tell you her whereabouts". He jerked on the sofa. "Twenty thousand dollars". Adrian said ready to remove his credit card when Claire held his hand and signaled him to wait. "Okay!...., It's a long story!". He said smiling.

"The day of the wedding, Mila called me and told me to come over and pick her up to the wedding venue, I got to their house and saw her sweating as she rushed into my car...., She told me she can't marry, because she still loves me, and she taught getting married to you for your money could help her, but no, she couldn't risk it". He explained as he munched on a hamburger. "So where is she now?". Adrian asked. "I woke up three days ago to see that, she was gone..., And she even took my money ".

They chatted for sometime and the two later left the building and headed to a cafeteria for some snacks. As they sat waiting for the waiter to bring their order, a tall well built guy entered the cafeteria. His eyes darted to Claire and walked towards their table as he looked at her. "Hi!, How are you doing with your new life ". He said smiling wryly. "Ahem!...". She coughed. Then she looked down at her heels fidgeting with her nails. "Listen Kylo, we need to talk, I didn't make this decision with my own Accord".

She stood up and held Kylo's hand as they exited the cafeteria. Adrian looked at them as they left.
