C8 CHAPTER EIGHT

"How are you doing?". Mrs Elrod asked Claire as she helped her have a seat. "I'm good mother". "Sia?, get Claire some vegetables soup". Mrs Elrod ordered their maid. Minutes later, she brought what she had ordered as she fed Claire the soup which made Chloe and Janette storm off to their rooms. "Adrian, your dad has fixed your honeymoon date and the venue". "What!, Why didn't he ask our permission". "He did it as a gift for both of you". "Hmmm!, Okay, where?*. Adrian asked giving up.

"Hawaii ". "Hawaii!". The couples said in unison. "Yes!, He booked the fanciest hotel, and the best services are going to be provided for you both". "Okay!, When are we going?". Adrian asked as Claire looked at him with a wry smile. "Next three weeks " . Mrs Elrod stood up to leave. "Start preparing, get well soon Claire, and Adrian, don't give her any problems ". She said and left. "Let's go inside and freshen up". Adrian said and helped her as they ascended the stairs to their room.

Claire changed to a towel and strolled to the bathroom. Later, Adrian called out her name as no one answered, he changed to his towel and also entered bathroom without the idea of Claire being inside the bathroom. As he entered and removed his towel from his waist, he turned as he was trying to get the soap when he saw the curtains open. A dumbfounded Claire stood there gripping the curtains as she stared at Adrian's naked self . The two stared at each other as Claire covered the curtains and left the bathroom.

After sometime, he got out of the bathroom and bumped into Claire on his way as Claire lost her balance prompting him to grab her by the waist making her lean on his chest as their faces grew inches away from each other. They again stared at each other again till they got back to their senses and separated as Claire entered the bathroom. The memories of what just happened flashed in her mind as the water dripped down her body.

A little smile appeared on her mouth as she recall those memories. "What are you thinking of, Claire!, You don't have to fall for him, this marriage is just a compromise". She said convincing herself to not fall in love with Adrian. "I'm sorry for yelling at you when the paparazzi came to visit". Adrian said in an awkward way as Claire applied pomade on her skin while they got ready to sleep.

Adrian slept on the bed as Claire also slept on the couch. "Ermm!, It's nothing, anyways, you always believed your cunning sister even if she lied". Claire said ignoring his gaze and moving to the couch to sleep. As she made her way to the couch, Adrian switched off the lights, and within seconds, Claire screamed and pounced on Adrian hugging him with her hands rapped around his neck and her legs around his waist making them inches away from each other almost making them kiss.
