C22 Chapter 22

Hua Ming had a dream. He dreamed that someone was pulling him along as they ran, but he could not see what that person looked like. He was out of breath from running, and it was difficult for him to breathe. He heard a voice calling out to him in a blur, and as he panted, he tried to find the source of the voice.

"Engraving... Engraving... The voice became clear, and in an instant, his eyes flew open and he was wide awake. It was true that he couldn't breathe.

Hua Ming lifted the blanket off his body and took a few deep breaths. The voice outside the door was still shouting. It was his mother. He answered, and then his mother's voice came, "Ming Ming, why are you still in bed so late today? It's almost time for your morning self-study. Are you feeling unwell?"

!!

Hua Ming turned his head to look at the alarm clock on the table. The screen of the alarm clock was blank.

It was over. The alarm clock must have broken when he accidentally knocked it down last night. He did not even notice it. He got up in a hurry. First, he stuffed the books on the table into his bag. Then, he quickly put on his clothes and rushed to the door. When he opened the door, his mother was standing at the door, looking at him worriedly.

"Mom, my alarm clock is broken. If you have time today, help me change it. Do I still have time? What time is it?"

"It's 7: 10."

"Ah ~"

Hua Ming wailed. He washed up as fast as he could, grabbed his bag and ran out.

They started their self-study at 7: 30 in the morning. It took them twenty minutes to get from home to school. He did not know if they could make it in time.

Hua Ming entered the classroom on time. The moment he sat down, he heaved a sigh of relief, but the consequence of rushing was that he did not eat breakfast. Now that he had run all the way here with an empty stomach, he felt extremely uncomfortable.

He laid down weakly on his seat, planning to go to the supermarket later to buy some bread to fill his stomach.

By the time Hsu Yan arrived at the classroom, it had been twenty minutes since the morning self-study session. He swaggered in through the front door, ignoring the English teacher who was staring at him coldly from the podium.

When he sat down on his seat, Hua Ming suddenly smelled a fragrance. It was similar to the smell of Little Hun when he was just out of the pot.

He secretly turned his head to look at Hsu Yan and saw that Hsu Yan was holding an antique box in his hand. It was made of a special kind of fragrant wood. There was a logo on the box. Hua Ming did not see it clearly, but he knew that there must be food inside. It was the kind that smelled good, because he thought he could see it coming out in little puffs and rushing to his nose.

He swallowed his saliva. He was so hungry!

Hsu Yan didn't know if he did it on purpose, but he placed the box in the middle of the table. Immediately, the taste became even stronger. Hua Ming could not help but steal another glance at the box. What exactly was it? It smelled so good. Was it Little Hun Dun? Hmm... It did smell quite similar. When was Hsu Yan going to eat it? Did he not have breakfast too?

As Hua Ming smelled the fragrance, he instantly lost all interest in the dry bread in the supermarket. His eyes were filled with the smell of it and his mind was filled with messy thoughts. He didn't come back to his senses until he heard a chuckle in his ear. Then he realized that he had been staring at the box for a long time, and Hsu Yan was looking at him with a faint smile on his face.

... ""

He suddenly turned his head and tried to cover it up by saying a short sentence in English. He stood up straight and looked serious. His ears were turning red.

Hua Ming had experienced the feeling of sitting on pins and needles in his entire life. It was not easy for him to wait for the bell to ring. He stood up and wanted to run, but Hsu Yan was not leaning against the back table today, so there was a large space behind him that could accommodate a person.

He walked out as if he did not want to stay there for even a minute. Just as he reached Hsu Yan's back, that person seemed to have eyes on the back of his head. He quickly leaned over and pressed Hua Ming between his back and the table behind him. Hua Ming tried to move but found that he could not move at all. Hsu Yan was pressing down on him tightly.

Hsu Yan saw that the people were blocked and slowly turned around from the outside side, completely controlling Hua Ming's way out.

He turned around and placed his hands on both sides of Hua Ming's body, leaning close to him. His head was only a little distance away from Hua Ming's waist. He took a deep breath of the fragrance of milk coming from his body and his low voice turned a few degrees and entered Hua Ming's ears.

"Where are you going?"

Hua Ming quickly looked around. Fortunately, everyone was in low spirits and did not notice their strange and ambiguous posture.

He did not dare to provoke Hsu Yan, afraid that this person would do something if he was unhappy. So he said in a soft voice, "I'll go shopping."

Hsu Yan raised his eyebrows and said in an unreasonable manner, "Don't go. Accompany me to the small study next door."

He did not care if Hua Ming agreed or not. He grabbed Hua Ming's arm with one hand and picked up the box on the table with the other and walked out.

Each class had a small library attached to it, so that students could put in extracurricular books and read them in their free time. But this was just an ideal plan. In fact, it was often occupied, especially by people like Hsu Yan. This kind of place had already become his exclusive territory.
