C6 The Wedding Was Canceled
Priya raised her eyebrows and poked me. I naturally understood what she meant.
"You are right. I did have sex last night, but not with Anatol."
When I mentioned the name Anatol, I felt disgusted.
I must have been blind to be with such a hateful man.
"What? You were with another man last night? What's going on?"
Priya stared at me with her eyes wide open, obviously shocked.
Then I told her everything — how I returned to the wedding room last night and caught Anatol and Skylynn in bed naked.
" Anatol actually cheated on you! What an asshole!"
After hearing the whole story, Priya was also furious and started to curse Anatol.
"Then what about your wedding today? "
Priya frowned with worry and anxiety.
"The wedding is canceled."
As these words left my mouth, I could clearly feel the piercing pain in my heart.
I had been dreaming about this wedding day for many years. I had prepared everything and worked on every detail of my wedding, but now it was all in vain.
"Priya, I am tired. I want to have some rest."
Although I felt sick just thinking about Anatol, he was the man I had loved for seven years after all. I’d be lying to say that I could get over him now.
Now I just wanted to have a good sleep and forget about him. When I woke up, this person would no longer have anything to do with me.
Priya knew that I was in deep sorrow, so she didn't say anything and went out.
After god knows how long, I opened my eyes and heard some noise in the living room.
It was Priya and Anatol. They seemed to be arguing about something.
I opened the bedroom door and saw Anatol sitting on the sofa in the living room. Priya stood there, her face reddened with anger.
"Anna!"
Seeing me come out, Anatol hurriedly got up and exclaimed.
"What are you doing here? You're not welcome!"
For a minute I wanted to grab his collar and ask him why he betrayed me. But I calmed down and forced myself to look indifferent.
"Anna, about last night..."
Anatol walked towards me with an apologetic look.
"What? Do you want to tell us the details about your sex with my good friend last night?"
My tone was full of sarcasm, and I was on the verge of losing control as anger was boiling in my heart.
After all, he was someone I had loved deeply for seven years. Every time I thought of his lies and betrayal, my heart ached.
"Anna, I know it was my fault, but Skylynn and I, we love each other, I..."
Anatol wanted to continue, but I interrupted him right there, "Enough! Anatol, we're over. You don't have to explain anything to me. I won’t force you to get married with me. You are free to walk!"
He cheated on me with my best friend, and the two of them even had a child. Now, he was actually telling me that the two of them loved each other. How ironic!
If she was his true love, then what was I for all these seven years? Someone he could toss aside once he got bored?
