C9 Chapter 9
“Stacy?” Gina whispered to herself when she got to the door she looked from the glass and saw the nurses in the the room using a defibrillator on her, then the doctor arrived with Brian.
“Doc-Doctor what’s happening, why is she- what- why is she like that?” She asked holding on to the doctor's coat.
“I’m not exactly sure, please excuse me let me go and and see What’s wrong” seeing that she had no choice but to let go, she released her hold on the doctor and began to cry.
“Dear God, please! Please! Save mom and Stacy, I cannot lose another family! God please!” She shouted and fell to the ground, Ryan not knowing how to react simply hugged her tightly till she stopped crying, then he led her to sit on the bench chair again.
Brian followed behind them slowly, he looked at Gina and felt really bad for her, then he gave her and Ryan some distance again. who said Brain Smith didn’t have a heart, he does. Brian is also struggling with the whole situation, he’s extremely worried about Stacy, but that’s what’s bothering him, he’s more worried about why he’s worried about her, wanting to clear out those thoughts he walked up to Ryan and Gina again.
“Is she ok now?” He asked while trying to sound half-hearted which Ryan was able to pick up but he replied normally, “she’s okay, I’ll stay with her you should go and check on Stacy’s situation”.
Ryan said then turned away from Brian.
“Wait! How is my mom, mom, why is no one talking about her? Where is she?” Gina asked then aggressively got up but was pulls back by Ryan.
“Gina your mom is okay” he said but she refused and yanked her hand out of his grip. “Aegina your mom is okay, her condition is currently stable, but she just hasn’t woken up yes, and she has been scheduled for a heart transplant once a match is
found and that won’t take too long” Brian said from where he stood, loud and enough for Gina to hear.
“But who is going to pay for all that?” She asked looking at Brian then at Ryan.
“My family owns this hospital so the bills are on me, you don’t have to worry about it, now Stacy and I would be even” he said then walked away.
Brian stood outside the door to Stacy’s room, while Gina sat not too far away with Ryan and kept staring at Brian suspiciously.
“This guy is definitely in love with Stacy, or they know each other, but how could they know each other, and I wouldn’t know, oh wait! The interview, that’s how. But it’s only been a short while... unless...”
Gina was busy trying to understand the situation playing before her and didn’t notice the Doctor and nurses leave and Brian going into the room till Ryan tapped her. “Gina...”
“Huh!”
“Stacy is awake” he said, and she wasted no time then rushed into Stacy’s room, she stopped at the door entrance, Stacy then turned to see who had come in, on seeing Gina her eyes began to water, she felt really bad for Gina because she looked really disheveled, neither of them would have thought so much could happen in one night. Gina slowly walked to Stacy then pounced into her arms and began to cry.
“Stacy! Don’t ever and I mean do not ever do this to me! You’re not allowed to leave me just yet please! I nearly had a heart attack!” She said while hugging Stacy tightly. Seeing that Gina was now with Stacy Brian made a little distance between himself and them, then after watching them for a while, he stepped out.
Remembering that her mom was admitted in the hospital, Stacy slowly pulled Gina from her body then held her hands.
“Gina, Mom, is mom okay? What are we going to do?”
“My boss said he’d be covering every expense, and they’ll find a heart for mom’s heart transplant soon and they’ll do the surgery” Gina said then the look on Stacy’s face slowly changed.
“By your boss, you mean Brian, right?” She asked with a half-smile.
“Yes, so we shouldn’t worry too much and just pray for a successful surgery, but what is your relationship with him?”
“Gina, can we talk about that when everything has been resolved?” Stacy asked pleadingly.
“Okay okay that’s fine, I’ll go and check on mom now” she said and was about to get up, but Stacy held her hand.
“I want to come with you... please” she said and began to sit up.
“But you need to...”
“Please Gina”
“Okay fine! Um... wait let me help you with your drip”.
“Don’t worry about that, I can just push it” she replies and sits up then Gina helped her get her shoes on.

“Did you get the information I asked for?”
“Yes, boss they...”
“Who did it?!”
“Cyrus boss, he sent those men to bring Miss Bennet to him”.
“So, they decided to hurt her mother when they couldn’t find her?”
“Yes boss, I’ve dealt with them but what are we doing about Cyrus?”
“Help me invite Cyrus to my basement for a peaceful conversation, if he resists mess with him in way that won’t leave physical marks, you know what to do, I’ll join you soon”

“You see Stacy, mom is okay, she just hasn’t woken up yet, but the doctor said she will be fine”.
“I pray a heart is found soon, and for the surgery to be a success, mom please be okay, you can’t leave me just yet, mom Gina and I are waiting for you, we’re not rich yes, and you haven’t seen your grandkids yet” Stacy said while sobbing lightly.
Gina was comforting Stacy when Brian appeared behind them, “Stacy are you okay?” He asked with a concerned look on his face.
“I’m okay, I’m just a little worried, also I don’t know we’re going to pay you back” Stacy said worriedly.
“Stacy!” A voice called from far causing both Brian and Gina to also look.
