C134 The Truth That Could Not Be Burried

Kelvin suddenly coughed roughly and vomited blood. The sound was sharp, violent, and enough to make everyone in the room freeze. Tracy Wood screamed as she rushed forward. "Kelvin!" She grabbed tissues, trying to wipe the blood from his lips, her hands trembling uncontrollably. But then she stopped. Her eyes widened. His fingers moved. Slowly… weakly… but unmistakably. She turned toward the room in shock. "He’s alive!" "Kelvin… husband… are you alive?" Kelvin’s eyelids fluttered open. His vision was blurred, his breathing unstable.

He looked around the room like someone returning from a long darkness. His voice came out dry and broken. "...water..." Tracy immediately grabbed a glass and helped him drink. His hand shook violently as he held it. Every sip looked like pain. After a few seconds, his breathing stabilized slightly, but his face remained pale and exhausted.

And then... The silence in the room returned. Heavy. Uncomfortable. Waiting. I stepped forward slowly, my phone still in my hand. Alicia stood beside me, holding the recorded file that would change everything. Kelvin’s eyes slowly shifted toward us.

“What… happened…” "Mike you were released from jail?" "Wife why you look like you have aged a few times." His voice was weak, but present. I didn’t answer immediately. Instead, I looked at everyone gathered in the room. Tracy. Sarah. Samantha. And Alicia. Then I pressed play. The recording began.

At first, only silence filled the room, followed by my voice confronting Ben. Then his voice came through clearly. Confident. Cold. Unapologetic. “I did not poison my father…?” A few seconds later… The truth began to unfold. Ben’s voice admitting involvement in schemes. His manipulation of Josh. The forced statement against me. The framing of Laura.

And then the words that shattered the room completely. “…I wrote it myself…” “I only needed Josh to make her sign…” The sound echoed in the hospital room like thunder. Sarah covered her mouth instantly. Tracy staggered backward. “No…” “That’s not my son…”

Samantha’s face turned pale. Her hands tightened around her arms as if trying to hold herself together. Kelvin, still weak on the bed, suddenly stiffened. His eyes widened as the recording continued. And then came the final blow. Ben’s voice, calm and arrogant: “Sooner or later I will fire you…” Followed by laughter.

A cruel silence filled the room after the recording ended. No one spoke. No one moved. It felt like the entire world had stopped breathing. Kelvin’s body began to shake. At first softly… Then violently. Tears rolled down his face as he turned his head slightly. “…Ben…” His voice broke completely. “My son…”

His hand clenched the bed sheet. “I raised him…” “For power…” “For this?” Tracy fell to her knees beside the bed, crying uncontrollably. Samantha looked away, her eyes trembling. Sarah stood frozen, unable to process what she had just heard. Alicia gently stepped closer to me, her hand lightly touching my arm for support. I exhaled slowly. The weight of everything was finally settling in.

I turned to the Wood family. “There’s more.” Everyone looked at me immediately. Alicia spoke first. “I already sent a copy of the recording to my father back at home.” She paused. “Only the confession regarding Mike’s false rape allegation case.” Tracy gasped softly. Kelvin closed his eyes for a moment, overwhelmed. I raised my hand slightly as I stepped forward. Ben admitted to doing many crimes but i will only focus on clearing my name.

“Regarding the poisoning of Director Wood…” “And the drugging incident involving Samantha…” “I will leave that to the Wood family to handle internally.” Samantha suddenly lifted her head. Her voice was sharp but emotional. “In the recording…” “You admitted something else.” Her eyes shifted between me and Alicia. “You two…” “Are together.”

The room went silent again. Alicia turned slightly toward me. I looked at her. For a brief moment, everything else disappeared. No Ben. No Wood family politics. No chaos. Just her. I nodded slowly. “Yes.” I said it clearly. “We are together.” A pause. Then I continued. “And we will be getting married soon.”

The words landed heavily in the room. Sarah’s eyes widened. Tracy covered her mouth again. Samantha froze completely. Kelvin stared at me in disbelief, still weak but fully awake now. Chris, who had just arrived at the doorway, almost dropped what he was holding. Alicia’s face turned red, but she didn’t look away.

Instead, she stood beside me confidently. Like she belonged there. Like she had always belonged there. No one spoke for several seconds. The silence was broken only by Kelvin’s uneven breathing. Finally, Tracy whispered: “…So much has been happening…” “And we knew nothing.”

Kelvin closed his eyes again. This time, tears slipped down silently. “My son…” “My own blood…” “…betrayed me for power.” His voice cracked completely. Alicia squeezed my hand gently. I didn’t say anything. There was nothing left to say in that moment. Everything had already been exposed. Everything had already broken. We gave them the recording and then We excused ourselves.

Later that evening… Alicia left the hospital with me. She first sent me homoe before going to the Mooney Family. When she arrived, the house was unusually quiet. Inside the living room sat her grandfather, grandmother, and father. They all looked up the moment she entered. Peter spoke first. “You’re back.”

Georgia noticed her expression immediately. “What happened, my child?” Mark looked serious, already sensing something was wrong. “Alicia…” “What did you bring back with you?” Alicia took a deep breath. Her voice was calm… But her eyes carried everything she had seen. “I have the recording.”

The room went silent. Mark slowly stood up. “…Then everything has started.” Alicia nodded. “And now I need to know…” She looked at her family one by one. “What is our next move?” She tied her apron preparing to go to the kitchen to prepare dinner. She suddenly paused, "Grandpa the news of Mike and me getting married have been exposed." "Tell me what are the preparations for the engagement going?"

Peter giggled "We wouldn't plan anything without you." "Why don't you go prepare dinner then we can discuss it later." Alicia nodded and went to the kitchen.
