C223 My Own Wife Crying Over Another Men

Sarah entered her bedroom. She let out a long breath before closing the door behind her. "My goodness..." "What a day..." She muttered to herself as she walked toward her wardrobe. "I really need a shower." She had barely reached for a towel.. Bang! The bedroom door suddenly opened.Sarah turned around in surprise. "Samantha?" Without saying a word, Samantha walked inside. She quietly closed the door behind her. The room became silent.

The two sisters stood facing each other. Neither of them spoke. Neither knew where to begin. Then. Without warning. Samantha rushed forward. She wrapped both arms tightly around Sarah. "Sister..." Her voice cracked. Then... She broke down. Tears poured from her eyes as violent sobs escaped her lips. "Sister..." "He's really gone..." "He really left me..." Sarah immediately hugged her back. She gently rubbed Samantha's back. "It's okay..."

But Samantha shook her head repeatedly. "No..." "It's not okay..." "It hurts..." "It hurts so much..." Her crying became louder. "I kept lying to myself..." "I kept believing there was still hope..." "I kept thinking..." "If I waited long enough..." "If I changed..." "If I apologized..." "...maybe he'd come back." "Maybe Alicia will leave him and com back to me." She buried her face against Sarah's shoulder. "But now..." "He's going to become someone's father..." "He has his own family..." "He doesn't need me anymore..."

She cried so hard that her whole body trembled. "Sister..." "Why am I so useless?" "How can I live without him?" Sarah felt her own eyes becoming wet. She had comforted Samantha countless times. But today... For the first time... She didn't know what to say. Slowly... Her own tears began to fall. She hugged Samantha even tighter. Her own voice trembled. "Sister..." "He was already gone..." "...a long time ago." "It was only your heart..." "...that refused to let him go."

Those words completely shattered Samantha's remaining strength. She cried louder than before. Sarah could no longer hold back either. The sisters stood there... Holding each other... Crying together. Downstairs... The sound of crying slowly reached the dining room. Everyone immediately became quiet. Tracy slowly looked upstairs. "...Samantha?" Kelvin also frowned. "Is she crying?"

Ben let out a cold laugh. "Won't you two go comfort your favourite daughter-in-law?" Neither Tracy nor Kelvin responded. They stood up almost simultaneously. As they began walking toward the stairs, Tracy suddenly stopped. She slowly turned back to Ben. Her eyes were filled with disappointment. "You've become like an unrestricted child." "How can you celebrate someone else's pain?"

Ben folded his arms. "What?" "Should I feel sorry for her?" "My own wife is upstairs crying over another man." "What exactly do you expect from me?" His words pierced through both Tracy's and Kelvin's hearts. Neither of them argued. They quietly continued upstairs. Just before disappearing around the corner, Ben called after them again. "What about the child you're abandoning down here?"

Tracy stopped once more. Without turning around, she answered softly, "She's your daughter." "Shouldn't you do what every father does?" Her footsteps continued. Soon... The two elders disappeared upstairs. They followed the crying until they reached Samantha's bedroom. But... The crying wasn't coming from there. Kelvin frowned. "It came from..." "...Sarah's room." Both of them exchanged surprised glances. Without another second of hesitation. They pushed open the door.

The sight before them instantly broke their hearts. Sarah and Samantha were tightly embracing each other. Both sisters were crying uncontrollably. Neither even noticed that someone had entered. Tracy's own eyes immediately filled with tears. "My girls..." She rushed over and wrapped both daughters in her arms. "My girls..." "My strong girls..." "What happened?" "Where did all your strength go?" "This morning..." "It was the two of you comforting your father and me." "You told us everything would be alright." "So..." "Who is comforting the two of you now?"

The room became filled with quiet sobs. Kelvin stood frozen by the doorway. His throat tightened. He had witnessed so many things. Faced dangerous men. Walked through situations where bullets flew around him. Yet... Watching the women he loved cry together... Made him feel more powerless than any battlefield ever had. Several long moments passed.

Finally... Sarah slowly wiped away her tears. Her breathing was still uneven. "Mom..." "Don't worry." "We'll be strong." Beside her, Samantha also nodded while wiping her face. "Yes..." "We'll be alright." Tracy smiled through her tears and gently stroked both of their hair. "I know you will." "Because..." "You are both my daughters." Kelvin looked at the three women one last time. His own eyes had quietly turned red. He wanted to comfort them. He wanted to say something. But no words came.

Silently... He turned around. Then slowly walked out of the room. For the first time in many years... The mighty Wood Chairman felt utterly helpless. And outside Sarah's bedroom... He stood alone in the silent hallway... Wondering when his once happy family had become so broken. Downstairs, Ben had been trying his best to ignore Monica's cries downstairs, convincing himself that someone else would come and comfort her.

But the little girl's sobs only grew louder, echoing through the quiet house until he could no longer pretend not to hear them. Letting out a tired sigh, he slowly stood up and walked over to her. He awkwardly lifted her into his arms, gently patting her back. "Shhh... shhh... it's alright... Daddy's here," he whispered, his voice unusually soft. He slowly paced around the dining room, rocking her from side to side. To his surprise, Monica's cries gradually faded.

Within moments, the little girl had calmed down completely, resting her tiny head against his shoulder as if she had been waiting for that embrace all along. Soon, she drifted peacefully to sleep. Ben lowered his eyes to look at her tiny face. This was the first time he had ever carried his daughter so naturally, without hesitation or discomfort. Monica's little fingers tightly clutched the front of his shirt, refusing to let go, making him smile despite himself.

When she stirred lightly, he picked up her milk bottle and carefully fed her. Monica drank happily, her innocent eyes fixed on him. Feeling strangely embarrassed by how gentle he had become, Ben instinctively glanced upstairs to make sure no one was watching. Seeing the hallway empty, he relaxed and continued cradling his daughter in silence. For the first time since Monica was born, something deep inside his heart shifted.

The resentment, anger, and bitterness he had been carrying seemed to loosen ever so slightly. Holding his daughter close, Ben finally experienced a warmth he had never expected, a quiet feeling that perhaps, despite everything, he was still capable of being a father.
