C252 Find Out Immediately
At that same moment, in an undisclosed location, the atmosphere inside a heavily guarded mansion was unusually tense. A man dressed in a black suit walked briskly through the long hallway before stopping in front of a large wooden door. He knocked twice. "Come in." The guard slowly pushed the door open before respectfully bowing. "Boss..."
Willy Harris looked up from the documents on his desk. "What is it?" The guard hesitated for a brief moment before reporting, "There has been a problem. Someone attempted to track your location." The smile on Willy's face instantly disappeared. "What?" He slowly placed the document on the table and leaned back in his chair. "Did you find out who it was?" The guard lowered his head. "No, Sir." "Our team detected the intrusion almost immediately. They managed to cut off the connection before the person could obtain your exact location."
He paused before adding, "However... our men are still attempting to trace the origin of the signal." For several seconds, Willy remained silent. Instead of becoming angry, a faint smile slowly appeared on his face. "So..." He folded his hands together. "Someone is interested in me." He slowly stood up and walked toward the large window overlooking the estate. "Could it be..." "...that our old enemies are returning?" His eyes narrowed. "Or..." He smiled even wider. "...is it someone new hoping to replace our business?"
The room became completely silent. The guard dared not interrupt his thoughts. After a long pause, Willy finally spoke again. "I don't care who it is." He slowly turned around. "Find them." "I want every detail." "I want to know where they live..." "...who they work with..." "...who they talk to..." "...and why they were searching for me." The guard immediately straightened his posture. "Yes, Boss."
Willy's expression suddenly became cold. "And listen carefully." "If they are merely curious..." "Keep watching." "But if they become a threat..." He paused for a moment before smiling dangerously. "Remove them." The guard bowed once again. "It will be done." Without another word, he quietly left the room. Willy remained standing by the window, staring into the distance. "It has been a long time since someone dared to challenge us..." "I hope this won't disappoint me."
The following morning... I woke up much earlier than usual. For a few moments, I simply lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling. Today wasn't just another working day. Today... My family was finally moving out of the only home we had ever known. I slowly sat up and looked around my room. Most of it was already empty. Only a few boxes remained, waiting to be sealed.
After washing up, I packed the last of my belongings, carefully placing my computer into its protective case before sealing the final carton. "There..." "Everything's ready." I carried the last box downstairs. The house felt strangely quiet. The walls that had once been decorated with family photographs now stood bare. The shelves were empty. The living room echoed with every footstep. Only dozens of neatly packed cartons remained, reminding us that this chapter of our lives had finally come to an end.
As soon as my parents saw me, my father smiled. "Mike, you're awake." "Did you finish packing?" I nodded. "Good morning, Mom." "Morning, Dad." "Yes." "Everything is packed." "I even packed my computer." "I'm ready whenever the truck arrives." Quinton nodded with satisfaction. "Good." "That saves us a lot of time." Mary forced a smile, but I could immediately tell something was wrong.
She looked around the empty house before gently running her fingers across the dining table. Her eyes slowly became red. "Our family..." She paused as tears began forming. "Our family has always lived here." Her voice trembled. "This house watched you grow up." "I cooked thousands of meals in this kitchen." She looked toward the staircase. "I still remember carrying you upstairs when you were little." She wiped away a tear. "And now..." "We're leaving." "How can we leave just like that?"
The atmosphere instantly became heavy. Even my father lowered his head. Although he tried hiding it, I could tell this house also meant a great deal to him. It wasn't just a building. It held decades of memories. Birthday celebrations. Christmas dinners. Family arguments. Late-night conversations. Everything had happened within these walls. I walked over and gently hugged my mother. "Mom..." "We're not losing our family." "We're simply moving to a different home."
She looked at me with teary eyes. "But it won't be the same." I smiled warmly. "Maybe not." "But we'll make new memories there." "And besides..." "You've always wanted a bigger garden." She laughed through her tears. "You still remember that?" "Of course." "I remember everything." Quinton finally stood up and placed a comforting hand on Mom's shoulder. "Mary..." "Our son is right." "A house becomes a home because of the people living inside it." "As long as we're together..." "It will always feel like home."
Mary slowly nodded. "I know..." "I just needed a moment." Seeing the atmosphere becoming emotional again, I quickly looked at the time. "Oh no." "I have to leave." "If I don't go now, I'll be late for work." I picked up my car keys before turning toward my parents. "Mom... Dad..." "Please call me when you arrive safely at the Mooney Residence." "I'll come over after work."
Quinton nodded. "The moving truck is already on its way." "It shouldn't be long now." I smiled. "Good." "I'll see both of you later." Before leaving, I walked outside and stopped at the front gate. I slowly turned around. The house stood quietly beneath the morning sun. A small smile appeared on my face. "So many memories..." I whispered softly. "Thank you." After one final look, I got into my car and drove toward Lucia Goods.
Not long after I left, the moving truck finally arrived. Several workers stepped out and immediately began loading the carefully packed cartons one after another. Furniture... Books... Kitchen appliances... Clothes... Every box carried another piece of the Smith family's history. Mary stood quietly watching as the last items were loaded. When the truck doors finally closed, she took one final glance at the house before gently holding Quinton's hand. "It's time." Quinton nodded. "Yes."
Together, they left behind the place they had called home for so many years. Nearly an hour later, the moving truck entered the gates of the Mooney Residence. Standing outside the mansion were Peter and Georgia. The smiles on their faces reflected their excitement. Peter walked forward immediately as the truck came to a stop. "They're here!" Georgia laughed happily. "Our family is finally complete."
Mary and Quinton stepped out of the truck. Before they could say anything, Peter warmly embraced Quinton. "Welcome home." Quinton smiled sincerely. "Thank you." Georgia then hugged Mary tightly. "We've been waiting for this day." Mary's emotions almost overwhelmed her again, but this time they were tears of gratitude. "Thank you for welcoming us."
Georgia gently squeezed her hand. "From today onward..." "This is your home too." Soon, several maids came outside and immediately began unloading the truck, carefully carrying the family's clothes, jewellery, furniture, and other belongings into the mansion.
