C275 The Group Chat

Alicia smiled as she looked at me. "I only saw the notifications," she said, lifting her phone slightly. "I haven't actually read the messages yet." I chuckled and reached into my pocket. "Let's see what my troublesome brother wants this time." Taking out my phone, I unlocked it and opened our group chat. As soon as I finished reading Chris's messages, I couldn't help laughing.

Alicia tilted her head curiously. "What is it?" I handed her my phone. "I think the two of us really need a break." She accepted it and carefully read through the conversation. Before long, she also burst into laughter. "So..." she said between laughs, "your brother isn't asking us to meet." "He's ordering us." I nodded in agreement. "Exactly." "He already decided everything." "He wants all four of us to meet this weekend at the shopping mall." "And apparently he'll be bringing Sarah."

Alicia smiled warmly. "I don't see any problem with that." "It's been a while since the three of us spent time together." She looked up at me. "Besides..." "I think we all deserve a little rest after everything that's happened." I nodded. "I agree." Without another word, both of us replied almost at the same time. " We'll be there." The identical replies immediately appeared one after another. We looked at each other before laughing again.

Meanwhile... At Wood IT Company... Chris was sitting comfortably in his office, reviewing several project documents. His secretary, Amanda, was quietly organising files at her desk when his phone suddenly vibrated. Buzz... Chris picked it up casually. The moment he saw the messages... A huge smile spread across his face. Without saying anything, he immediately stood up.

Amanda looked up in confusion. "Vice Director..." "What happened?" Chris couldn't hide his excitement. "My brother replied." Amanda paused for a second. "Your brother..." She thought for a moment before suddenly remembering. "Oh..." "It must be Mr. Mike." Without an explanation, he hurried straight out of the office. Amanda blinked in confusion. "...Vice Director?" But Chris had already disappeared down the corridor.

Inside Sarah's office... Sarah was reviewing several reports when the office door suddenly opened. Chris walked in with an unusually cheerful smile. Sarah looked up in surprise. "Chris?" "What happened?" Chris walked straight toward her desk. "My brother agreed." Sarah blinked. "...Agreed to what?" Chris grinned. "To going out this weekend." Sarah frowned slightly. "We asked them?" Chris opened his mouth... Then suddenly stopped.

He scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "You..." He sighed. "Forget it." Without explaining anything further, he turned around and walked toward the door. Sarah stared after him in complete confusion. Just as Chris reached the entrance... He suddenly stopped. He turned back around. "Oh..." "Wife." "This weekend..." "We're definitely going." Before Sarah could ask another question... He happily disappeared again.

The office became completely quiet. Sarah stared at the closed door for several seconds before shaking her head helplessly. A faint smile slowly appeared on her face. "I honestly don't understand my husband sometimes." "He suddenly acts like a spoiled child." She chuckled softly before returning to her documents. Back inside Chris's office... He walked in smiling from ear to ear. Amanda looked at him curiously. "Everything went well, Vice Director?" Chris nodded happily. "Very well."

He immediately sat down and unlocked his phone again. After opening the group chat... He pressed a few buttons. Amanda watched him curiously. A notification immediately appeared. Sarah Chambers has been added to the group. Their small family group chat now officially consisted of four people. Mike. Alicia. Chris. Sarah. Inside Sarah's office... Buzz... Her phone vibrated. She picked it up absent-mindedly.

The moment she saw she'd been added to the group... She laughed. "This husband of mine..." Without hesitating, she typed her first message. "Hello, everyone." Almost instantly... Alicia replied. Several laughing emojis appeared first. Then another message followed. "So... he really ran to you?" Sarah looked puzzled. She frowned slightly before typing back. "What's happening?" A few seconds later... I replied. "You should be the one telling us where we're meeting at the mall."

Sarah blinked. "Why me?" Chris immediately joined the conversation. "Wife, I literally just told you. Go ahead and tell them." Sarah stared at her phone. "When exactly did he tell me?" She couldn't remember discussing any plans at all. Still completely confused, she simply chose a location herself. "Let's meet at the cinema." "I heard there's a good romantic movie showing this Saturday." Alicia immediately replied. "Which movie?"

Sarah quickly searched before answering. "Culpa Mía." I responded almost immediately. "No problem." "We'll see you there." Chris smiled mischievously before typing another message. "Wife also said something else." Alicia instantly replied with more laughing emojis. I became curious. "Really?" "What did she suggest?" Sarah looked at her screen in complete disbelief. "What is he doing now?" Before she could even type... Chris had already sent another message. "She wants the four of us to have a group video call every night before everyone goes to sleep."

For a brief moment... The group became completely silent. Then... I flooded the chat with laughing emojis. Alicia followed immediately laughing as well. She finally typed, "Seriously?" Sarah's cheeks turned slightly red. She couldn't believe Chris was putting everything on her. Without another thought, she stood up from her chair. "I'm dealing with this husband of mine." She walked straight out of her office.

A few moments later... She reached Chris's office. She didn't even bother knocking. She pushed the door open immediately. Inside, Amanda was quietly working at her desk while Chris sat comfortably in his chair, laughing as he read the group chat. Sarah folded her arms. A playful smile appeared on her face. "So..." "You're making it sound as if every single idea came from me?" Amanda immediately looked toward the entrance.

The moment she saw Director Sarah standing there... She quickly stood up respectfully. "Good morning, Director Sarah." Sarah smiled politely. "Good morning, Amanda." Chris looked up from his phone, completely unbothered. "Wife..." "I have evidence." Sarah raised an eyebrow. "Evidence?" Chris lifted his phone proudly. "You said it yourself." Sarah walked closer to his desk. "When exactly did we discuss all those things?" Chris laughed loudly. "You may not remember..." "But I'm sure you did." "In my dreams I guess."

Sarah couldn't help laughing as well. "So now you're making fun of me?" Chris simply grinned innocently. "I would never." The smile on his face, however, said exactly the opposite. Amanda watched the playful exchange between the two directors with amusement, finding it hard to believe that the serious Director Sarah and the composed Vice Director Chris could tease each other so naturally outside of official meetings. The relaxed atmosphere in the office made her smile quietly to herself.
