C294 Fashion

The moment I said that, everyone turned to look at me. "What is it?" Sarah asked curiously. I smiled. "If we're only window shopping, then what exactly are Chris, Bright, and I supposed to do?" Laura laughed first. "You'll carry our shopping bags." Chris immediately protested. "What shopping bags? I thought you just said window shopping! Now you're planning to buy things?" Everyone burst into laughter.

Sarah folded her arms confidently. "Plans will change if we something we like." Bright looked completely defeated. "I suddenly feel like we're not husbands today..." "What are we then?" Chris asked. Bright sighed dramatically. "Professional bag carriers." I couldn't help laughing. "Brother, I think you've finally found someone who understands your pain." Chris pointed at Bright. "See? Finally someone agrees with me!"

Laura shook her head with a smile. "You three complain too much." Alicia nodded in agreement. "Exactly. We haven't even entered the mall yet, and you're already tired." Chris looked at Sarah. "Wife, tell me honestly... is today's outing actually for us or for you girls?" Sarah smiled innocently. "For everyone." Chris narrowed his eyes. "I don't believe you." The group laughed once more before Sarah clapped her hands. "Alright, enough talking. Let's go."

As everyone started walking toward the entrance, Chris suddenly stopped. "Wait." Everyone turned back. "What now?" I asked. Chris pointed at the three women. "I've just realized something." "What?" He looked at Sarah and Alicia before speaking with a serious expression. "The two of you are pregnant..." The women nodded. "...which means Mike, and I have officially become babysitters before our children are even born."

I burst into laughter. "Brother, that's actually true." Sarah sighed. "I knew today was going to be dangerous." Laura looked at him. "Why?" I laughed. "Because if we go against the three of you, we will loose every argument." Sarah couldn't hold back her laughter. "That's because we're always right." Chris immediately objected. "No. It's because there's three of you and only three of us." I corrected him. "No, Brother... it's worse than that."

Chris looked confused. "Worse?" I nodded. "There are actually five against three." Bright blinked. "Five?" I pointed at the two women. "The babies are obviously on their mothers' side." For a brief moment, everyone fell silent before laughter erupted throughout the entrance of Celtic Mall. Even people walking past turned around to see what was making the group laugh so loudly. Alicia smiled as she gently rubbed her stomach. "Our babies haven't even been born, and you've already assigned them teams."

Sarah laughed. "They'll definitely be on our side." Laura nodded in agreement. "Without question." Chris dramatically held his chest. "Brother.... we've already lost." Bright sighed and slowly shook his head. "I think we should just surrender now." I chuckled. "That's impossible. If we surrender now, we'll be carrying shopping bags for the rest of our lives." Chris immediately pointed at me. "Exactly! Finally, someone understands the real danger."

Sarah walked ahead while laughing. "You three can continue your meeting later." She turned around and smiled mischievously. "For now..." "...our first destination is the clothing section." Chris, Bright and I froze simultaneously. We looked at one another with expressions of despair. Chris sighed dramatically. "So it begins..." "But no underwear shopping," Chris declared firmly as he pointed a finger at the three women. "It will be clothes only. I have to protect the little dignity us husbands still have."

Sarah folded her arms and smiled innocently. "Who said we were planning that?" Chris narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "You." "I didn't." "You were thinking it." Everyone burst into laughter. I shook my head. "Brother, you're overthinking again." Bright quickly nodded in agreement. "Exactly. Let's just enjoy the outing." Laura giggled. "Relax. Today is only for clothes." Only then did Chris let out an exaggerated sigh of relief. "Good. My heart can finally rest." With laughter filling the air, the six of us entered Celtic Mall together.

The weekend crowd was lively, and the shopping centre buzzed with conversations, music, and families enjoying their day out. Sarah confidently led the group from one clothing boutique to another. As expected, the women stopped in front of nearly every display window, carefully examining the latest fashion collections while the three of us stood behind them, pretending to be interested. "So this is window shopping," Chris muttered. "You girls really can spend ten minutes looking through one window."

Laura laughed. "That's because you men don't appreciate fashion." Soon they entered the first boutique. Sarah immediately picked several elegant dresses before handing one to Alicia. "This colour would look beautiful on you." Laura also selected another outfit. "No, try this one too." Within minutes, all three women disappeared into the fitting rooms. We waited outside patiently. A few moments later, Alicia stepped out first wearing a soft sky-blue dress. She looked at me nervously. "How does it look?"

I smiled without hesitation. "Wife, you make every dress look beautiful." She blushed softly before spinning once. "Really?" I nodded. "Really." Sarah then stepped out wearing a cream-coloured dress that highlighted her growing baby bump perfectly. Chris stared for several seconds before smiling. "My wife..." "You somehow become prettier every single day." Sarah laughed. "So this one passes?" Chris nodded immediately. "It definitely passes." Laura appeared last in a simple white dress decorated with delicate floral patterns.

Bright smiled warmly. "You look beautiful." Laura tilted her head. "Only beautiful?" Bright quickly corrected himself. "No." "Very beautiful." Everyone laughed. I took out my phone. "Come on." "We're definitely taking pictures." The three women stood together smiling brightly while I captured photo after photo. Then Chris insisted on taking another set from different angles. Bright also joined in, making sure Laura had plenty of pictures to keep.

Before long, Sarah clapped her hands. "Now it's your turn." The three of us immediately looked at one another. "Our turn?" "Yes." Without waiting for their approval, the women each grabbed us by the arm and dragged us toward another section of the boutique. A few minutes later, Chris emerged wearing a dark navy jacket. Sarah walked around him thoughtfully before nodding. "My husband actually looks handsome." Chris grinned proudly. "I always have." I came out next wearing a charcoal-grey outfit. Alicia's eyes lit up. "Husband..." "You should wear suits more often."

Bright was the last to step out, wearing a black casual jacket over a white shirt. Laura clapped happily. "Perfect." We exchanged helpless smiles. It seemed today's outing had completely become a fashion show. More pictures followed. First the three husbands together. Then the three wives. Then each couple posed separately. Some photos were elegant. Others were filled with laughter as Chris deliberately made funny faces, causing Sarah to laugh so hard she could barely stand still. Even strangers passing by smiled at the cheerful group.

Just as I was about to take another picture of Alicia adjusting her dress, Alicia's phone suddenly rang. She glanced at the screen. "It is the renovation company." She answered immediately. "Hello?" A respectful voice came from the other end. "Miss, we are outside Lucia Goods Headquarters."
