C323 Director Know So Many Big Shots

Employees passing by the waiting area could not help but stare. At first, most of them were simply curious about the unusual gathering. However, the longer they looked, the more they began to recognize the people sitting there. Some employees immediately recognized the directors of Wood IT Company. Others recognized the chief designer of Nova Blaze. A few had only seen them in company announcements, newspapers, or online articles, but now they were sitting together inside Lucia Goods as if they were ordinary visitors.

The usually calm reception area slowly became filled with whispers. "Isn't that Director Wood?" "Yes, I'm sure it is." "Wait, isn't the other woman from Nova Blaze?" "I think so." "Why are they all here?" "Do you think something serious is happening?" Some employees wanted to approach them for photographs. Others secretly hoped to get an autograph, while a few simply wanted the opportunity to greet them. However, nobody had the courage to interrupt them. The presence of so many important people together made everyone nervous.

Meanwhile, the four visitors remained completely unaware of the attention surrounding them. A few moments later, Alicia and I slowly walked downstairs. The moment I saw Sarah, Samantha, Chris, and Laura sitting together, I laughed. "So, Chris, you finally forgave them?" The moment Chris heard my voice, he immediately turned toward me. "Brother!" His expression suddenly became serious. "Is my head really big?" I stared at him in confusion. "What are you talking about?"

Chris laughed and immediately pointed at Sarah. "See? My head isn't big. If it were really big, my brother would have told me just now when I asked him." Sarah burst out laughing. "But he didn't deny it either." Laura and Samantha also started laughing. Chris looked around at everyone with an exaggerated expression of betrayal. "You see? You're all making fun of me right in front of my enemies." He pointed toward Samantha and Laura. "That is exactly why I will never forgive them." Everyone laughed. Even Alicia couldn't hold back her laughter.

She looked at Sarah and shook her head. "Stop provoking my brother." Chris immediately smiled. "At least someone is on my side." Sarah smiled innocently. "Fine, husband. You know I'm always on your side." Chris's smile disappeared. "Then why are you bringing my enemies here?" Samantha laughed. "Brother-in-law." Chris froze. "What?" Samantha smiled. "You heard me. I called you my brother-in-law." Chris stared at her as though she had just said something unbelievable. "You called me your brother-in-law?"

Samantha nodded. "Yes. What? Aren't you my brother-in-law?" Chris immediately shook his head. "No. You are my enemy. How can I allow you to call me your brother-in-law?" The entire group burst into laughter again. Samantha shook her head. "Brother-in-law, when will you finally accept that we are not your enemies?" Laura joined in. "Exactly. Circumstances made us enemies in the past. That doesn't mean we have to remain enemies forever." Chris rolled his eyes. "You of all people can't say that."

Laura's smile faded slightly. Chris continued. "I still remember your testimony." Laura immediately covered her mouth, trying not to respond. I shook my head. "Chris, come on. They are our new sisters now. You should start calling them Sister Samantha and Sister Laura." Chris's face turned red. "That will never happen." We all laughed again. Chris remained the only person who wasn't amused. A few seconds later, the sound of a bell echoed through the building. Everyone in the waiting area became quiet.

Then an announcement played through the company's speakers. "Attention, everyone. Please proceed to the Training Hall." The employees immediately began moving toward the designated area. The six of us followed shortly afterward. As we walked through the corridor, Chris's playful expression gradually disappeared. He looked at me seriously. "Brother, what is the plan?" I looked at him. "What do you mean?" "What are we supposed to do when we get there?"

I smiled. "Honestly, I don't know either." Chris stared at me. "You don't know?" I shook my head. "We'll see when we get there." He sighed. "You're the one who organized all of this and you don't even know what we're doing?" I laughed. "I have a general idea. That's enough for now." We continued walking. After a moment, I looked at the others. "Actually, what did you guys decide? Are you planning to train as well, or did you only come here because you're our friends?"

Laura answered first. "I will train." Everyone turned toward her. She looked slightly embarrassed by the sudden attention. "What?" I smiled. "Nothing. I just didn't expect you to answer so quickly." Laura shrugged. "I'm not pregnant, am I? So why shouldn't I train?" Chris immediately laughed. "Look at you." He looked her up and down. "You're short, slim, and weak. When the real fighting starts, you'll probably be the first person to die." Laura didn't look offended. Instead, she smiled. "Then I'll die fighting. Simple." The group laughed.

Chris shook his head. "You're actually serious." Laura nodded. "If something threatens the people I care about, I don't want to stand behind everyone else and wait for them to protect me." Her words made the group quiet for a moment. She continued. "If I am going to be around you people, I want to at least know how to defend myself." I smiled. "Fair enough." Then Samantha spoke. "I'll train too." I stopped walking. "What?" Chris immediately turned toward her. "Train to fight for us, or train to fight against the cunning devil?"

Sarah suddenly choked. "Who is the cunning devil?" Alicia burst out laughing. Chris looked confused. "What?" Alicia was still laughing. "Brother, you still call him the Cunning Devil?" Samantha looked between them. "The Cunning Devil?" Sarah and Samantha exchanged confused looks. Then Laura also looked at me. I immediately looked away. "I didn't say anything." Samantha narrowed her eyes. "You definitely know something." I shook my head. "I've decided to keep my mouth shut."

All three women turned toward Alicia at exactly the same time. Alicia was still laughing. She finally noticed everyone staring at her. "What?" Sarah stepped closer. "Alicia, what are you hiding?" Alicia tried to control her laughter. "I don't know who came up with those names between the two of them." She paused. "But when we were still working at your father's company, there were apparently two devils." Sarah's eyes widened. "Two devils?" Alicia nodded. "Yes."

She pointed toward Chris. "One was the Big Fat Pregnant Devil." Then she pointed toward me. "And the other was the Tall Cunning Devil." The entire group erupted into laughter. Sarah's mouth fell open. "What?" Samantha looked at Alicia. "Wait." She slowly pointed toward herself. "So I was the Big Fat Pregnant Devil?" Alicia laughed. "I think so." Samantha immediately turned toward Chris. Her expression suddenly became suspicious. "Did you come up with those names?" Chris laughed. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Samantha crossed her arms. "Because I want an answer." Chris looked at Sarah. Then at Laura. Then at Alicia. Finally, he looked at me. Nobody said anything. He said "Well..." Samantha raised an eyebrow. "Well what?" Chris laughed. "You were pregnant!" Samantha pointed at him. "And the fat part?" Chris immediately became silent. Sarah covered her mouth to stop herself from laughing. Laura turned away, also laughing. Alicia leaned against me as she tried to control her laughter.

Sarah then asked again "So Who was the tall cunning devil?" Chris grinned "If Samantha was the big fat devil do we even have to say the other one." Samantha laughed "Ben was the cunning tall devil?" Sarah laughed. "You guys are impossible." Everyone started laughing. Chris looked at everyone. "Why is everyone laughing? I was just describing what I saw!" Samantha shook her head. "I'll remember this." Chris's eyes widened. "Remember what?" "You'll find out."

Chris grinned "Are you forgetting that you are still my enemy?" The laughter continued as we finally reached the entrance to the newly renovated Training Hall. The doors slowly opened. Everyone stopped talking. The joking atmosphere disappeared. The sight before us made all six of us pause. The new facility looked nothing like the old company hall. The boxing ring stood prominently on one side of the room. On another section was the martial arts training area, while the shooting range had been carefully constructed at the far end.

The facility was clean, modern, and professional. The employees who had followed behind us began whispering among themselves. Some looked excited. Others looked nervous. For Alicia and I, however, this was more than just the opening of a new training facility. It was the beginning of something much bigger.
