C372 A Son For A Son
Willy Harris sat silently behind his desk, staring at the phone in his hand. For several minutes, he had been trying to make sense of everything that had happened. Jack was supposed to have completed the job. He was supposed to have kidnapped Sarah, used her to lure Alicia out, and then make sure neither woman survived. Instead, there had been no word from Jack. Willy's fingers slowly tightened around his phone. Something was wrong. Very wrong. He finally raised his head. "Starc!"
A few seconds later, the door opened. Starc entered and immediately bowed respectfully. "Boss." Willy looked at him seriously. "I can't reach my nephew." Starc remained silent. Willy picked up a piece of paper and wrote down Jack's number before handing it to him. "This is his phone number." Starc took the paper. "Track him." "Immediately." He paused before adding, "If you find him, I want you to determine exactly what happened. And if he is in trouble, send backup." Starc nodded. "Understood, Boss." He turned and left.
The moment Starc reached the monitoring room, he began entering Jack's number into the tracking system. The process took several seconds. Then the screen displayed a location. Starc frowned. He refreshed the system. The same location appeared. He checked again. Nothing changed. Jack's phone wasn't moving. Starc stared at the screen. "That's strange." The location showed an old warehouse outside the city. The tracker had remained stationary for a long time. Starc immediately stood up. He hurried back toward Willy's office. "Boss!" Willy looked up. "What?"
Starc placed the tracking information in front of him. "Your nephew is at an old warehouse outside the city." Willy immediately stood. "He's still there?" Starc nodded. "The tracker hasn't moved." Willy's expression hardened. "Brian!" Brian entered almost immediately. "Yes, Boss?" "Arrange three teams." Brian froze. "Three?" "We're going to the warehouse." Brian hesitated. "Boss..." Willy slowly turned toward him. "What?" Brian swallowed. "You know the police are searching for you." "If you leave this place yourself, they could identify you." Willy's expression darkened. "Are you in charge now?" "No, Boss." "If I say we're going, then we're going."
He stepped closer. "And if the police come, you protect me." Willy's eyes narrowed. "Or have your knees suddenly gone weak?" Brian immediately bowed his head. "No, Boss." "Then stop talking and prepare the teams." "Yes, Boss." Within minutes, three black vehicles left the estate. They sped through the streets before eventually leaving the city behind. Inside the first vehicle, Willy remained silent. His mind kept returning to Jack. What had happened? Why had he stopped answering? And why was his phone still at the warehouse? Eventually, the three vehicles arrived at the old warehouse. The men immediately spread out.
Willy stepped out of the vehicle. "Where is Jack?" Brian pointed toward the warehouse. "We'll find him." The men entered. But there was no sign of Alicia. No sign of Sarah. No sign of anyone. Then one of the men shouted. "Boss!" Everyone turned. Jack was lying on the ground. Dead. Willy froze. For several seconds, he simply stared at his nephew. His face slowly changed from confusion to disbelief. "No..." He walked closer. "Jack?" There was no response. Willy crouched beside him. "What happened?" His voice trembled with anger. "Who killed my nephew?"
He suddenly stood. "Find them!" "Now!" Brian immediately bowed. "Yes, Boss." Several men began searching the warehouse. Willy was about to leave when something occurred to him. "Wait." Everyone stopped. Willy looked at Jack's body. "Jack came here for Alicia." He narrowed his eyes. "Search everything." "I want to know exactly what happened." Brian nodded. His men carefully examined the body. After several moments, Brian's expression changed. "Boss..." "What?" Brian pointed toward the wound. "This is a clean shot." "It looks like a sniper shot."
Willy's eyes widened. "A sniper?" Brian nodded. Willy stared at Jack's body. Then something came back to him. The image of the Gupta Family members standing around Alicia. The respect they showed her. The way they bowed to her. A slow smile appeared on Willy's face. "That little girl..." He shook his head. "Could Alicia have done this?" Brian remained silent. Willy's smile disappeared. "Or..." He looked toward the men. "Was it the Gupta Family?" His eyes became cold. "If they killed my nephew..." He clenched his fist. "Then they have declared war." Brian nodded. "Yes, Boss."
Willy thought for several seconds. Then he made his decision. "No." Brian looked at him. "We're not going after the Gupta Family yet." Willy's eyes hardened. "We're going to the Mooney residence." Brian immediately understood. "If they are there..." Willy finished the sentence. "Kill everyone." The three vehicles left the warehouse. The drive back toward the city was unusually quiet. Nobody spoke. Willy remained seated in the front vehicle, staring through the window. His anger had become colder. More controlled. The vehicles approached the Mooney residence.
The security guard at the gate immediately stepped forward. But before he could properly identify the vehicles, Willy's voice came through the radio. "There she is." Everyone looked ahead. Alicia's car had just arrived at the entrance. Willy's expression changed. "Kill her." He paused. "Kill all of them." The three teams immediately moved. Gunfire erupted. The security guards barely had time to react. One of them reached for his weapon, but bullets struck him before he could draw it. The guards scattered as the attackers advanced toward the entrance.
Inside Alicia's car, the taxi driver panicked. He had no idea what was happening. He immediately dropped to the ground. He had no weapon. There was nothing he could do. One of Willy's men noticed him. "Boss!" The man dragged the frightened driver toward Willy. Willy looked at him. For a moment, he considered killing him. But then he shook his head. "Where is Alicia?" The taxi driver had just opened his mouth when a sharp slap landed on his face. "Boss asked you a question where is that girl?" Bids of sweats appeared on the taxi driver forehead. "Sir I don't know anything I only came leave this car and take my taxi." Willy looked at him for a while before saying. "Keep him here." The man nodded. "Yes, Boss."
Willy and Brian continued toward the mansion. They forced their way inside. But the house was strangely quiet. There were no members of the Mooney Family inside. Only frightened maids were hiding in one corner. Brian stepped toward them. "Where is Alicia?" Nobody answered. "Where is Peter?" The maids continued shaking their heads. Brian slammed his hand against a table. "Answer him!" One maid finally gathered enough courage to speak. "They left this morning." Brian narrowed his eyes. "Where?" "The Gupta Family." Willy froze. "The Gupta Family?" The maid nodded nervously. "Yes." "Miss Mooney was injured, so they went to see her."
Willy slowly turned toward Brian. A cold smile appeared on his face. "So it really was them." He looked back at the frightened maids. "Interesting." Before he could say anything else, one of his men rushed inside. "Boss!" Willy turned. "What?" "Someone alerted the police." "They're coming." Willy's expression changed. "How long?" "They could be here any moment." Willy looked around the mansion one final time. Then he looked at the maids. "When the police arrive..." He paused. "Tell them I said something." The maids stared at him. Willy's voice became cold. "A son for a son." He turned around. "Let's go."
Outside, the taxi driver was still lying on the ground. One of the men looked toward Willy. "Boss, what about this man?" Willy glanced at the driver. "Don't kill him." The man looked relieved. Then Willy added, "Shoot him." "Don't kill him." The man understood. He raised his gun and fired. The bullet struck the driver's knee. The man screamed in pain. Willy didn't even look back. "Move!" The three vehicles immediately began leaving the property. But they were already too late. Police vehicles appeared at the end of the road. Sirens echoed through the streets.
Willy looked behind him. "Damn!" Brian looked nervous. "The police are blocking the road." Willy's voice became sharp. "Then find a way to get rid of them." Gunfire erupted again. The three vehicles split apart. Two slowed down and opened fire toward the pursuing police vehicles as per Brian's order, while Willy and Brian escaped in the third vehicle. The road became chaotic. Police officers took cover behind their vehicles and returned fire. Several bullets struck the attackers' vehicles.
After a while, the confrontation was over. Two police officers lay dead. Three of Willy's men had also been killed. The remaining three were forced to surrender. They were dragged out of the vehicle and arrested. But Willy and Brian were already gone. Their vehicle disappeared into the distance. And behind them, the Mooney residence remained surrounded by police. The message Willy had left behind echoed in everyone's minds. A son for a son.
