C376 Three Months Of Training
After listening carefully to his ten coaches, Victor remained silent for several moments. The room had become unusually quiet. Each person waited for his decision. They knew the situation had changed dramatically. Alicia was no longer simply a young woman they were protecting. She had become the future leader of the Gupta family, and with the birth of her son, the danger surrounding her had increased. Finally, Victor leaned back in his chair. “Fine.” The ten coaches immediately focused on him.“The ten of you will spend the next three months training Alicia and the others. I want them prepared for whatever comes next.”
Angus the Hammer nodded firmly. “Yes, Sir.” Victor continued. “You can use our military base at Aberdeen. It has been closed for quite some time now. No one should notice if you begin using it again.” Angus nodded. “We understand.” Arthur the Ghost, however, raised his hand slightly. “Sir, what about the First Group and Second Group?” Victor's expression became serious. “They are still fighting alongside everyone else. Their situation hasn't changed. You don't have to worry about them.”
Arthur nodded. Victor then looked at all ten coaches. “Now go to the military base. Inspect the facilities, prepare everything you need, and make sure it is ready before you begin.” The coaches stood. “Yes, Sir.” They were about to leave when Fraser the Reaper stopped. “Sir, they already have a training facility.” Victor looked at him. “Yes, I know.” “Then do we really need to move them to military base in Aberdeen?” Victor leaned forward slightly. “Do you honestly believe they can learn everything they need inside that small training facility?” The ten coaches exchanged glances. None of them answered.
Victor continued. “I am not telling you exactly how to train them. You are the experts. Use your judgment. If their current facility is enough for certain things, use it. If Aberdeen is better for something else, take them there.” He paused. “But remember one thing.” His voice became colder. “Protect my granddaughter at all costs.” The ten coaches nodded simultaneously. “Yes, Sir.” They turned and left the room. Victor remained behind, staring at the closed door for several seconds. He knew the next three months could determine everything.
Back at the Mooney residence, Mark had just returned from the police station. The moment he entered the living room, he immediately noticed the strange atmosphere. Nobody was talking. Nobody had eaten. Everyone seemed lost in their own thoughts. Mark slowly looked around. “Why is everyone so quiet?” Georgia sighed. “How can we relax after what happened?” Mark frowned. “What do you mean?” Georgia shook her head. “They first came to the house with guns.” “And now Hanna has returned,” Georgia added. Mark froze. “What?” Before anyone could explain further, Alicia's phone suddenly rang. Everyone turned toward her.
Alicia looked at the screen before answering. It was Victor. She immediately handed Emmanuel to me. “Hold him for me.” I carefully took the baby into my arms while Alicia answered the call. “Grandpa.” Victor's voice came through the speaker. “My child, have you found a way to deal with everything?” Alicia sighed. “No, Grandpa. I was still thinking about it.” Victor was quiet for a moment. Then he spoke. “Well, you don't have to think about it alone anymore.” Alicia looked confused. “What do you mean?” “Angus and his team are already on their way.” Everyone in the room exchanged surprised looks.
Victor continued. “They are coming to help you prepare your army. According to their assessment, three months of proper training should be enough to get everyone to a much higher level.” Alicia's eyes widened slightly. “Three months?” “Yes.” Victor paused. “Angus will explain everything once he arrives.” Alicia finally smiled. “Thank you, Grandpa.” Victor's voice softened. “My child, you must train hard and train fast. The danger around you is increasing.” Alicia nodded. “I know, Grandpa. Don't worry. I'll be ready.” “Good.” The call ended.
For several seconds, nobody spoke. Quinton finally broke the silence. “What exactly is happening?” I looked at him. “Father, you heard him. Angus and his team are coming to train us.” I glanced down at Emmanuel sleeping peacefully in my arms. “If we become stronger, we can protect everyone. We won't always have to wait for someone else to rescue us.” Mary shook her head. “I don't like this.” Mark nodded. “Neither do I.” He looked at Alicia. “But there may not be another choice anymore.” He paused. “My child's pictures are already circulating around the city. Willy has put a price on her head.”
Peter coughed softly. “This is much bigger than I thought.” Mark looked around the room. “I have already increased security around the family. Everyone will remain alert. Nobody will be allowed to approach this house without being identified.” Alicia thought for a moment. “What about Lucia Goods?” Mark shook his head. “You told us all the employees are training.” “Yes.” “So why would I put a large security team there?” Alicia looked confused. Mark explained. “If the Harris family thinks Lucia Goods is an easy target, let them think that.”
He leaned forward. “They may come expecting an unprotected company. Instead, they'll find people who are already prepared for them.” Alicia slowly nodded. “So we use Lucia Goods as another layer of protection.” “Exactly.” She smiled faintly. “Well, that's actually a good idea.” But despite her smile, everyone could feel the tension in the room. The danger was no longer something they could ignore. It was coming closer. Meanwhile, at the Wood family residence, Ben had locked himself inside his room for almost the entire day. He had barely spoken to anyone. Eventually, hunger forced him to leave. He slowly opened his bedroom door and walked downstairs.
The moment he entered the living room, he noticed something was wrong. Valeria, David, Tracy, and Kelvin were all sitting together with worried expressions. Ben frowned. “Why does everyone look like this?” Tracy looked at him. “Your sister and Samantha haven't been back for long, and the Mooney family was attacked.” Ben's expression changed. “What?” Tracy nodded. “The Mooney residence was attacked.” Ben looked confused. “How does that relate to Sarah and Samantha?” Tracy stared at him for a moment. Then she sighed. “You know what? Never mind.” Ben frowned. “What?” “Nothing.” Before Ben could ask again, the front door opened.
Chris entered with Sarah and Samantha. The moment they walked inside, the atmosphere changed. Samantha immediately rushed toward Monica. She wrapped her arms tightly around her daughter, holding her as though she was afraid to let go. Tears slowly rolled down her cheeks. Monica looked confused at first. “Mom?” Samantha didn't answer. She simply held her tighter. Nearby, Sarah rushed toward Tristan. She carefully picked up her newborn son and held him against her chest. Her eyes were also filled with tears.
Everyone in the room stared at Chris. He noticed their expressions. For a moment, he remained silent. Then he finally spoke. “Things are bad.” Kelvin frowned. “How bad?” Chris sighed. “Very bad.” David immediately became concerned. “What happened, Son?” Chris looked toward Sarah and Samantha. “They're scared.” He paused. “And honestly... I'm scared too.” The room became silent. Chris continued. “The Harris family is far more dangerous than we thought. And now the internal conflicts within the Gupta family are beginning to affect us as well.” Kelvin's expression became serious. “What are you saying?”
Chris slowly shook his head. “I don't know exactly what will happen next.” He looked around at everyone. “But I think there are going to be many changes in the coming days.” He paused. “We're going to have to spend even more time training.” Nobody answered. The reality of his words settled over everyone. Ben, however, finally spoke. “All this happened because you people decided to help the Mooney family, right?” Sarah slowly turned toward him. A sarcastic smile appeared on her face. “No.” Ben raised an eyebrow. Sarah continued. “All this happened because you gave Jack my number.” Ben immediately choked. “Cough, cough!”
Everyone looked at him. He quickly cleared his throat. “Mom, Dad... I'm hungry.” Tracy stared at him. Ben continued as if nothing had happened. “When are we eating?” Tracy sighed. Then she waved toward the maids. “Bring dinner. Everyone is here.” The maids immediately began preparing the table. Everyone slowly moved toward the dining area. Everyone except Chris. He remained standing where he was. He looked at the people around the table. For a moment, he seemed to consider something. Then he shook his head. “I almost forgot.” Sarah looked at him. “Forgot what?” Chris forced a small smile. “I have something to do.” He turned toward the door. “You all eat. I'll join you later.”
He didn't wait for anyone to respond. He simply walked away. The moment the door closed behind him, Sarah and Samantha exchanged a glance. They both understood. Sarah knew her husband well enough to realize why he had left. It wasn't because he suddenly remembered something important. Chris simply didn't want to sit at the same table with Ben.
