C407 Secret Discovered
The footage continued playing. Nobody in the room spoke. Willy stood directly in front of the large screen, his eyes fixed on the images. At first, the man's face meant nothing to him. He leaned closer to the screen. His expression changed. His eyes widened. He took a step toward the screen. “No…” Starc remained silent. Willy stared at the man's face as if his eyes were refusing to accept what his brain was telling him. Then he recognized him. “Jiang Chenfeng.” Willy turned toward Brian. “Wasn't he shot by Alicia Mooney on CCTV last month?” Brian's face changed. Jiang Chenfeng was clearly visible. Alive. Completely different from the footage they had watched weeks earlier.
Willy shook his head repeatedly. “How can I be this stupid?” He walked away from the screen, then turned back. “They fooled us.” Nobody answered. “They completely fooled us!” He stomped his foot in frustration. “No wonder!” His voice grew louder. “No wonder when you all got to Lucia Goods, everyone was already prepared. The employees knew you were coming. They had weapons. They were waiting for you.” Brian lowered his head. Willy's breathing became heavier. “Everything…” He pointed toward the screen. “Everything was planned.” Starc nodded slowly. Willy looked at Jiang Chenfeng again. “If he was never killed…” He paused. “Then Alicia never killed him.” “And if Alicia never killed him…” Willy turned around. “The kidnapping was fake.” The room became completely silent. Willy looked at Brian. “Alicia. Where is she?”
Brian remained quiet. Willy stared at him. “Why are you not responding?” Brian hesitated before finally speaking. “Boss, what I am worried about isn't where she is hiding.” Willy raised an eyebrow. “Then what?” Brian took a breath. “The Korean underground forces.” Willy's expression became serious. Brian continued. “They helped her.” “How?” Willy asked. “I don't know.” Brian looked at the screen. “But that is what worries me. Alicia isn't simply hiding. Someone is protecting her.” Willy folded his arms. Brian continued. “How can she be connected to the Korean underground forces? Could this be one of the Gupta family's wild cards?” Willy froze. The question bothered him. He slowly shook his head. “Obviously, if the Mooney family had this kind of wild card, they wouldn't have waited this long to use it.”
Brian remained silent. Willy started pacing. “This means there is something else happening.” He stopped. “It looks like she may have Some connections with the Gupta family.” Brian nodded slightly. Willy's thoughts began racing. He looked at Brian. “Wait.” Brian looked up. “Didn't you say she was married?” “Yes, sir.” “To whom?” “Michael Smith.” Willy frowned. “Michael Smith.” “Yes.” Willy thought for a moment. “Then why is she connected to the Gupta family?” Brian had no answer. Neither did Starc. Willy turned toward the screen again. The more he thought about it, the less sense everything made. Alicia was a Mooney. She was married to Michael Smith. Somehow she was connected to the Gupta family. And now, Korean underground forces were helping her. That was far too many connections for one person. Willy's jaw tightened. “We can't do this alone.”
Brian immediately looked at him. “What do you mean, Boss?” “We need more men.” Brian froze. Willy continued. “Alicia has just made herself my priority.” Brian looked surprised. “What about the shipment?” “Forget the shipment for now.” Brian exchanged a glance with Starc. Willy turned toward them. “I want men.” He pointed at Brian. “Gather everyone we have.” Brian hesitated. Willy noticed. “What?” Brian swallowed. “Boss, how many men are you thinking?” Willy looked at him. “As many as we can get.” Brian remained silent. Willy then added, “I will contact Gonzalo Alvarez in South America. I'll ask him to give me a hand.” Brian's expression changed. Willy continued. “Gonzalo has enough men to help us.” Brian shook his head. “But Boss, we can do it ourselves.” Willy stopped. Slowly, he turned around. “You mean you can go after the Mooney family, the Gupta family, and now the Korean forces all at the same time?” Brian opened his mouth. Nothing came out. Willy stared at him. Brian swallowed. He immediately regretted saying it. “No, Boss.” Willy nodded. “That's what I thought.”
Brian lowered his eyes. Willy picked up a folder from his desk. “Take my men and go capture Mark Mooney.” Brian's head snapped up. “What?” “I want answers.” “Boss…” “This time, do not fail.” Brian looked genuinely uncomfortable. “Sir, Mark Mooney is the police minister.” “If we go after him, we will have a serious problem.” Willy's expression remained cold. “Then solve the problem.” Brian shook his head. “Sir, if we are going after him, we have to kill him. Otherwise, capturing him won't be easy. The police force is always around him.” Willy grinned. “I said go capture him.” Brian stared at him. “Do it however you can.” Willy pointed toward the door. “But capture him. I need to talk to him.” “I need to know what is happening.” Brian finally spoke. “And if the police come and arrest you while you're talking to him?”
Willy's grin disappeared. Brian continued carefully. “What if Mark has a tracker? What if his men are tracking him? We could spend all that effort capturing him only to bring the police directly to you.” Willy stared at him. Brian knew he was taking a risk by challenging his boss, but someone had to say it. “Sir, Mark Mooney isn't an ordinary target. He is the police minister. If we touch him, every police officer in the country will come after us.” Willy remained silent. Brian continued. “And if we bring him here, we could be exposing the entire operation.” Willy's frustration grew. But deep down, he knew Brian was right. It had been a stupid idea. He had allowed his anger to make the decision for him.
Willy finally sighed. “Fine. Don't capture him kill him straight away. You can make it look like a car accident just like we did in the past.” Brian nodded slightly. “Yes, Boss.” Willy looked at Starc and then back at Brian. “Now get the men ready.” He walked around the desk. “I don't know how many people Alicia has behind her.” He picked up his phone. “I don't know where she is.” He looked toward the paused CCTV footage. “And I don't know why the Korean underground forces are helping her.” Willy's expression hardened. “But I do know one thing.” Brian waited. “This Alicia seems to have everything planned out.” He walked toward the door. "It is time to disrupt her plans." “And I don't intend to be caught off guard again.” Willy left the room.
Brian and Starc remained behind. Neither of them spoke for several seconds. Finally, Starc looked at Brian. “Do you think Boss understands what we're dealing with?” Brian stared at the screen. Jiang Chenfeng was still frozen in the frame. “I don't think any of us understand what we're dealing with.” "But surely Mark Mooney will give us some answers befire killing him." After that Brian walked out as well. Willy entered his private office and closed the door behind him. He stood there for several seconds. His anger had not disappeared. If anything, it had become more focused. He walked to his desk and sat down. Then he picked up his phone. There was one person he needed to speak to. Gonzalo Alvarez. Willy dialed the number.
The call connected after several rings. “Willy.” Gonzalo's voice came from the other side. Willy leaned back in his chair. “Gonzalo, my friend.” “What is it?” “I need your help.” Gonzalo immediately became serious. “What happened?” “There is a big enemy coming after us.” Gonzalo was silent for a moment. “Us?” “Yes.” Willy rubbed his forehead. “You know that if I get caught, it won't only expose me.” Gonzalo understood immediately. He sighed. “Willy, what is going on?” “I'll explain.” “You better.” Gonzalo continued. “I just shipped the cocaine you ordered. You will receive it in three days at the depot.” Willy didn't care about the shipment anymore. “Things are not that simple.” “What do you mean?” “This enemy is teaming up with my other enemies.” Gonzalo became quiet. “They are planning something against our business.” Willy leaned forward. “We have to do something quickly.” Gonzalo asked, “What is it you want?”
Willy remained silent for a second. “Manpower.” Gonzalo laughed softly. “Manpower?” “Yes.” “Weapons?” “No.” Gonzalo became more serious. “What then?” “Men.” There was silence on the line. “How many?” “Twenty hitmen.” Gonzalo immediately refused. “Twenty?” “Yes.” “Why do you need that many?” Willy's voice hardened. “I wouldn't ask if I didn't need them.” Gonzalo sighed. “Who will protect me then?” Willy said nothing. “I will give you my best five.” Willy frowned. “Five?” “They are some of my most experienced men.” “I need more.” “You're asking for twenty men, Willy. I can't send you everyone.” Gonzalo paused. “I still have a business to protect.” Willy understood. He had expected resistance. After a moment, he nodded. “Fine.” “When will they arrive?” “I'll arrange everything immediately.” Willy nodded. “Then I will wait for their arrival.” The call ended.
Willy placed the phone on his desk. For several seconds, he stared at it. Then he smiled. It wasn't a friendly smile. It was the smile of a man who had finally decided to stop reacting and start attacking. He stood up and walked toward the window. Outside, his men were already beginning their preparations. “Alicia…” He smiled. “So you want to play games?” His eyes hardened. “Fine.” He turned away from the window. “Now we will play the game you want.” He walked back toward his desk. “But this time…” He stopped. “I will make you come out of hiding.”
