C433 A Decoy

Mark frowned. Peter looked equally surprised. “So fast? What are you rushing for?” Alicia smiled. “Nothing is wrong. We have finished our training, and now we want to return to our old lives. But before we do that, we need to deal with Willy. So we must do it tomorrow morning.” Mark crossed his arms. “Where is Willy's place?” Alicia laughed. “You will know in the morning.” Mary looked worried. She turned toward me. “Mike, where is that place? I know you won't lie to me.” I laughed. “I honestly don't know. Only Alicia knows.” Mark studied both of us for a moment before nodding. “Alright. I will book the boat for you and inform my team.” Alicia suddenly stopped him. “Wait, Dad. What time does everyone's shift start?” “Six in the morning,” Mark answered. Alicia smiled. “Then don't tell them yet. We don't know who we can trust or whether someone will leak the information to Willy. Catch them by surprise when they arrive for work at six.”

Mark thought about it. “You want to organise the raid without informing them beforehand?” “Exactly,” Alicia replied. “You can gather your trusted people once you arrive at work. But by nine in the morning, you must be where I tell you to be.” Mark nodded slowly. “Good plan. But you must remember that you are still officially missing. The police cannot see you.” Alicia smiled confidently. “Don't worry, Father. That is exactly why we will use the boat.” Mark looked at her for a moment before finally nodding. Early the next morning, at Willy Harris's estate, alerts suddenly began flashing across Starc's computer screen. The noise from the system woke Brian, who immediately rushed to Starc's room. “Starc, wake up! There is a problem.” Starc slowly opened his eyes. “What happened?” “Come and see.” Brian led him to the computer room. The moment Starc saw the alerts, a smile appeared on his face. “We got them.” Brian stared at him. “You're sure?” Starc nodded. “Go and wake the boss.”

Brian immediately hurried toward Willy's room. Within minutes, Willy was awake. Brian also woke the four South Americans who had arrived the previous evening. By the time they entered the computer room, Starc was already seated in front of his computer, studying the information on the screen. “Boss,” Starc said confidently, “I found them. The last time they tried to track us, I added another layer of code to the system. They have just attempted to search for you again.” Willy frowned. “How do you know it is them? I have plenty of enemies who would like to find me.” Starc remained calm. “Because I checked the algorithms they used previously and compared them with the code used in this latest attempt. They are the same. Programmers may have different ways of writing code, but they still leave patterns behind. I know how they work.” Willy nodded slowly. “Then where are they?”

Starc turned toward the screen and examined the location of the attempted trace. “Outside Glasgow,” he replied. “They are in a building far away from the city, surrounded by forest.” Willy's expression changed. “A building?” Starc checked the information again. “It appears to be an abandoned military base. It was shut down in the early 2000s.” The words military base immediately caught both Willy and Brian's attention. Brian nodded. “It has to be them.” Willy's face hardened. “Send the team to eliminate all of them. We underestimated them last time, and I will not make that mistake again. Send as many men as necessary. I want confirmation that every single one of them is dead.” He then turned toward the four South Americans. “You will go with the team and eliminate the targets.” Brian froze. “Boss, are you asking them to lead our men? What about me?” Willy shook his head. “If everyone leaves, who will protect me? You and a few other men will remain here.”

Brian looked disappointed. “But...” “You have failed me before,” Willy interrupted. “Let them handle this operation.” Brian stood silently for a moment. He wanted to argue, but decided it was better not to pursue the matter further. The four South Americans exchanged looks before one of them spoke. “Tell your men we are leaving in two hours.” Willy glanced at the clock. It was already 4:30 in the morning. He nodded. “No problem. Six-thirty is still early enough to catch them off guard.” A dangerous smile crossed his face. “By the time they realise what is happening, our men will already be inside that base.” He looked back at the computer screen. “This time, my enemies will not survive.” At the Mooney family home, we woke up at five in the morning and immediately contacted the Lions. I already knew that the automated search had taken place. Everything was happening according to plan.

Soon afterward, we met at the boat Mark had arranged for us. Cipher stood near the equipment and looked at everyone. “Check your gear. Make sure you have everything you need.” The morning was cold, and a thin mist hung over the water. The five of us, Cipher, Cracker, Pixel, Kiddo, and Chipmunk prepared ourselves while Bighead, Silver, and Survivor remained responsible for reaching the estate from different positions. Once we were ready, the boat began moving toward Willy's property. Cipher sent the address to Mark. “Father, you should have the location now.” Mark's voice came through the communication device. “Received. My team is ready.” I checked the time. Everything was moving quickly. As we approached the coastline, I activated the drone and sent it straight into the sky. The small machine rose above us, giving us a clear view of the surrounding area. Then something caught our attention. Several vehicles suddenly began leaving Willy's estate in a hurry.

Cipher smiled. “There they go.” I watched the drone's screen carefully. The vehicles were moving away from the mansion. “Our decoy worked,” I said. We waited for a few moments. Then, in the distance, police cars began rushing toward the now-empty roads surrounding the estate. Mark's team had arrived. Bighead was already in position, pretending to sweep the roadside. He looked completely ordinary, moving slowly while keeping an eye on the estate. Not far away, Silver and Survivor had entered the water and begun swimming toward the coastline. Despite the cold morning, neither of them hesitated. Cipher looked at me. “Everyone is in position.” I nodded. The estate was becoming quieter by the second. Willy believed he had found us. He had no idea that the location he had discovered was only a decoy. And while his men were heading toward an empty military base, we were already moving toward the real target. Willy Harris had just made his first mistake.
