C434 Surrendered Too Late
The moment the police vehicles came close to Willy's estate, alarms began flashing across Starc's computer screen. The warning woke him instantly. “Police!” Starc shouted. “Boss, the police have invaded us! They have found us!” Willy froze. “How?” “I don't know, Boss!” Brian rushed into the room. “Boss, we need to find an escape route for you. Quickly, let's go!” Before leaving, Willy turned toward Starc. “Destroy everything. Every piece of evidence.” Starc immediately returned to the computer and began wiping the systems. Files disappeared from the screens as he deleted records, erased communications, and destroyed anything that could connect Willy to his operations. Brian gathered the remaining men. “Protect our boss!” He pointed toward the hallway. “Hurry! We are using the back door!”
Outside the estate, our drone captured everything. I watched the live footage carefully as Willy and Brian moved through the building. Cipher immediately sent a message to her father. “Dad, they are using the back door.” Mark responded almost instantly. “Don't worry. The back door is covered.” The police entered the villa. Willy's men were already waiting for them. The first shots echoed through the estate. The police returned fire, forcing the men to retreat deeper into the building. Officers moved from room to room while others secured the entrances and surrounded the property. Brian and Willy rushed toward the back door, hoping to escape before the police could reach them. But they stopped immediately. Police officers had already entered from that side as well. Brian grabbed Willy's arm. “We have to go back!” They quickly turned around. A few moments later, Starc emerged from the computer room. He had finished wiping the remaining evidence and hurried to join them.
Willy looked around anxiously. “We are trapped.” Brian nodded. Starc asked “Boss, what about the helicopter?” Willy looked at him. “The helicopter? What happened to the pilot? Where is he, tell him to get ready to fly?” “The pilot did not come to work.” Willy frowned. “What? Did he betray us?” Brian shook his head. “No, Boss. I gave him the day off. He was injured during training yesterday.” Willy stared at him. “Then who sold us out?” Brian looked toward the sounds of gunfire coming from outside. “Boss, we can worry about that later. Right now, what do we do? Do we surrender or fight back?” Willy's expression hardened. “We fight back, obviously.” Starc looked at him carefully. “But Boss, if we fight back, we could all be killed. If we surrender, we will at least have a chance to survive. Once we are arrested, we can find out who betrayed us and perhaps find a way out.” Willy turned toward Brian. “What about the team we sent to the military base?” Brian quickly answered. “I already ordered them to return. They should be coming back to help us.” Willy nodded. “Then we wait for them.”
Starc looked toward the windows. “Boss, the police are closing in. You need to make a decision now.” For a moment, Willy remained silent. Then he slowly walked toward the entrance. He threw down the weapon he had been carrying. “We surrender.” The remaining men followed his example. Some of Willy's guards had already been killed during the exchange of fire. Others had been apprehended and forced to the ground by police officers. Brian followed Willy out. Starc came behind them with his hands raised. From the boat, I watched everything through the drone's camera. I looked at Cipher. “Wife, what do we do? They are surrendering.” Cipher did not hesitate. “There is no such thing as surrender.” I looked at her. She tightened her grip on her rifle. “We take the shot.” There were only three targets. Willy Harris. Brian. And Starc. Cipher's voice became cold. “I will kill Willy Harris myself.” I nodded. Pixel and Chipmunk immediately prepared their rifles.
The police officers secured Willy, Brian, and Starc before escorting them across the estate grounds. They were being taken toward Police Minister Mark Mooney, who had arrived with the officers leading the operation. Mark stood inside the villa, watching his men bring the suspects forward. Willy looked exhausted but remained alert. He still believed he might survive. He still believed that surrendering had bought him time. He was wrong. Cipher positioned her rifle. Through her scope, Willy's figure came clearly into view. She waited until the police officers moved him into an open position. Then she pulled the trigger. The shot rang across the morning air. Willy Harris collapsed instantly. “Sniper!” one police officer shouted. Another officer turned toward the estate. “I repeat, sniper shot! Willy Harris is down!” Several officers began looking around in confusion. Mark froze. The realisation of what had happened struck him harder. He slowly closed his eyes. “Alicia,” he whispered. “What have you done? Why?”
Before anyone could react, another shot rang out. Brian, who was still handcuffed, suddenly collapsed. Chipmunk had taken the shot. The police officers shouted and scattered. Pixel immediately followed. Her rifle cracked through the air, and Starc fell moments later. Chaos spread throughout the estate. Police officers looked around, unable to determine where the shots were coming from. Some believed the sniper might be one of the bosses of Willy Harris's Cartel wiping everythingthat could affect them. Others searched the surrounding buildings and rooftops. Then one officer pointed toward the coastline. “The sniper is in the boat!” He shouted louder. “THE BOAT!” Everyone turned toward the water. By then, Kiddo had already started the engine. She pushed the boat away from the shore and headed toward deeper water. “They're gone!” another officer shouted. From the boat, I watched the estate disappear behind us. But the operation was not finished. Gunfire suddenly erupted near the main gate. Willy's men had returned.
They were forcing their way toward the estate, attempting to rescue their boss or attack the police officers who had surrounded the property. The police immediately turned toward the gate and opened fire. “Request backup!” one officer shouted. Another wave of police vehicles arrived moments later. Silver and Survivor, who had been swimming near the coastline, quickly scanned the area. They retrieved their weapons and prepared to move. Bighead, still disguised as a street cleaner, received the message we had sent. “Willy is dead. Get out of there now.” He immediately abandoned his disguise and moved toward Silver and Survivor. “Come on, guys. The job is done.” They climbed into the black vehicle, and he drove away from the area before the police could notice them. Behind us, the battle continued. Police officers fired toward Willy's remaining men as reinforcements surrounded the estate. The attackers attempted to hold their position, but they were heavily outnumbered. One by one, Willy's men were killed or forced to surrender.
Eventually, the four South Americans who had arrived to lead the attack on the military base were also killed during the confrontation. The estate finally fell silent. Willy Harris was dead. Brian was dead. Starc was dead. The police had won the raid, but they had no idea who had truly carried it out. And Mark Mooney stood outside his daughter's crime scene, knowing that the woman responsible for killing Willy Harris had been standing only a short distance away. He looked toward the ocean. “Alicia,” he whispered again. But this time, there was no answer.
