C448 Distraction
Hanna handed a piece of paper to Destroyer. “Read this carefully,” she said. “Then tell me you understand.” Destroyer took the paper and looked at it for several seconds. “Madam…” Hanna raised an eyebrow. “I don't understand.” Hanna stared at him. “What?” Destroyer pointed at the paper. “You wrote something about killing people, but I don't understand what you want me to do.” Hanna slowly shook her head. “How did I end up sleeping with such a stupid man?” Destroyer remained silent. Hanna took the paper from him and pointed at one of the lines. “Look here.” She paused before continuing. “There is a maid who works at the Mooney residence. She has a daughter.” Destroyer's expression changed. “And?” “That is what I want you to deal with.” Hanna looked directly at him. “You will find the girl. She is between eight and ten years old.”
Destroyer finally understood. “You want me to take her?” “Yes.” Hanna's voice remained completely calm. “Once you have her, call me. I will tell you what happens next.” Destroyer nodded. He immediately got dressed and prepared to leave. As he reached the door, Hanna stopped him. “She attends St. Michael's Primary School.” She handed him a photograph of the girl. Destroyer looked at it carefully. “Understood, Boss.” He left. Hanna remained behind, watching the door close. She knew this was only the beginning. Several hours later, Hanna's phone vibrated. She looked at the message. There was a photograph attached. Destroyer had sent it. Done, Boss. I got her. Hanna stared at the photograph for a moment. Then she smiled. She had obtained the girl's details from the school's records, and now she had everything she needed. She immediately made a call to her mother. The maid answered after several rings. “Hello?” Hanna activated a voice changer before speaking. “Miss Bethell.”
The maid immediately recognized the seriousness in the stranger's voice. “Who is this?” “I have your daughter.” Silence. The maid's breathing became heavier. “What?” “We have taken her.” The woman's voice trembled. “My daughter is at school.” Hanna smiled. “Check your phone.” A few seconds later, the maid received the photograph. Her hands began to shake as she looked at the screen. It was her daughter. “Please,” she whispered. “Please don't hurt her.” “That depends on what you do.” The maid began crying. “What do you want?” “First, you will not tell the police.” Hanna's voice remained cold. “You will not tell anyone.” The maid covered her mouth. “Please…” “Tomorrow morning, there will be chaos at the Mooney residence.” The maid listened carefully. “A silver car will be parked somewhere near the Mooney residence. You will bring Alicia's baby to that location.” The maid froze. “You want… Miss Mooney's baby?” “Yes.”
The maid's entire body trembled. “You cannot ask me to do that.” “I just did.” “But I work for Miss Mooney. She trusts me.” Hanna's voice became colder. “And I have your daughter.” The maid closed her eyes. “You have until tomorrow.” The call ended. The maid stared at her phone in disbelief. She couldn't betray Miss Mooney. Alicia had treated her with kindness, trusted her inside the house and had never given her a reason to turn against the family. But this was her daughter. Her little girl. The only thought running through her mind was whether she was safe. Fortunately, it was already close to the end of her working day. The moment she was allowed to leave, she rushed toward the school. Her heart pounded as she entered the school grounds. She searched everywhere. She asked teachers. She asked other parents. She called her daughter's name again and again. But her daughter was nowhere to be found. The fear became real. Hanna had been telling the truth.
The maid eventually returned to her small apartment in tears. She sat on the edge of her bed and held the photograph of her daughter against her chest. “Please be safe,” she whispered. She could not sleep. All she could do was pray that her daughter would come home. The following morning, we woke up early. Our first government mission was waiting for us. We needed to meet the Lions at Lucia Goods. We decided to travel together in one car. Alicia insisted on driving. “I'll drive,” she said. I looked at her. “You sure?” She smiled. “I'm good at driving.” I laughed. “Fine, Wife.” She started the car, and we headed toward Lucia Goods. When we arrived, the Lions were already waiting. As soon as we entered the building, several employees stopped what they were doing and looked at us. They were surprised to see all of us together so early. Alicia walked toward reception. “Good morning, everyone.” The employees turned toward her. “Please don't mind us. From now on, we will be using the training hall during the day.” She smiled. “You can continue using it in the afternoon for your own training.” Several employees nodded. “Of course, Director.”
Alicia thanked them before turning toward us. We followed her down the corridor toward the training hall. Once the doors closed behind us, Alicia looked around the room. The Lions were gathered together. She smiled. “Lions…” Everyone became serious. “We have our first task.” The room immediately became quiet. Everyone knew that whatever was inside the sealed document was about to change things. The Lions began reading through the document. At the top were four photographs of the dead South Americans. We all exchanged serious looks. The document explained that our first task was to discover their origin. The four men had entered the country only a few days earlier using fake identities and forged identification documents. It was suspected that they had been sent as reinforcements for the Harris Cartel. All four had been killed during the confrontation with the police at Willy Harris's estate. But that wasn't the only part of our mission. We were also tasked with finding out which cartel or criminal organization was connected to Willy Harris and had provided him with support.
Alicia looked at the photographs for a moment before smiling slightly. “Well, we'll do this step by step.” She pointed toward the photographs. “First, we need to find out who these men were before we can find out who they were working for.” Then she looked at me. “Mike, we'll need your technical expertise here. Use the government card they gave us to purchase whatever new equipment you need.” I nodded. “Yes, Boss.” Alicia smiled. “We're back to business.” She looked around at the entire team. “So from this moment on, we're going to use our codenames again.” Everyone nodded. The Lions were officially back in action. And this time, our mission had taken us far beyond Scotland. Back at the hotel, Hanna made a call. This time, she called Charlie. Charlie answered. “Yes?” “I want you to drive your silver car to the Mooney residence.” Charlie frowned. “Why?” “Just do it.” Hanna's voice was firm. “But don't park close to the villa. You must not be seen.” Charlie hesitated. “Understood.” “Good.” The call ended. Hanna immediately contacted Destroyer. “You know what you have to do.” “Yes, Boss.” “You will create a distraction at the Mooney residence.” Destroyer listened carefully. “It needs to be loud enough to draw everyone's attention away from the house.”
He nodded. “And you will leave immediately afterward. I don't want anyone identifying you.” “Yes, Boss.” Hanna paused. “And don't use my car.” Destroyer looked confused. “Boss?” “If you use my car, then you are stupid.” Destroyer understood immediately. “You're right.” “You will get a rental car instead. Use a false identity and pay in cash.” Destroyer nodded. “Yes, Boss.” He turned and left. Hanna remained alone in the hotel room. She walked toward the window and looked out over the city. Everything was moving according to her plan. Charlie was becoming the public face of the new cartel. Destroyer was preparing the first distraction. And somewhere at the Mooney residence was the child Hanna wanted. Hanna smiled. “Alicia…” She quietly shook her head. “Let's see how you react to my first strike.” She turned away from the window. The game had begun.
