C453 To Another Country
At the Wood family residence, Sarah and Samantha arrived in a hurry. Neither of them wasted time explaining anything. They immediately went upstairs, packed their weapons and essential equipment, and changed into military-style clothing. They knew they were leaving the country, and they had very little time to prepare. A few minutes later, they came downstairs. Tracy and Kelvin were already there. The moment they saw their daughters dressed that way, they exchanged confused looks. Kelvin frowned. “What happened now?” Tracy looked at them carefully. “Are you going back to training?” Sarah stopped for a moment. She looked at her parents. “Mom, Dad…” She hesitated. “There is a lot we need to tell you. But now isn't the time.” Kelvin immediately became more concerned. “What happened?” Sarah took a deep breath. “Right now, we're leaving.” “Leaving for where?” “Colombia.” Kelvin's expression changed. “Colombia?” Samantha stepped forward. “Yes, Father.” She looked at both of them. “Alicia's son was kidnapped.”
Tracy covered her mouth. “Emmanuel?” Sarah nodded. “Willy's niece, Charlie Kinlore, took him. She left the country and flew to Colombia.” Kelvin stared at them. “You're going after her?” “Yes.” Samantha checked the time. “Our plane leaves in about an hour.” She looked at her parents apologetically. “I'm sorry we can't explain everything right now. When we come back, we'll tell you everything.” Tracy looked at Sarah. “When are you coming back?” Sarah didn't answer. She glanced toward the room where Tristan was sleeping. Her expression softened. She walked over and looked at her son. Tristan was sleeping peacefully, completely unaware of what was happening around him. Sarah knelt beside him and gently touched his head. Then she looked back at Tracy. “Mom…” Tracy walked toward her. “Please look after my son.” Sarah's voice became emotional. “I don't want to lose him.” Tracy immediately understood what she meant. She placed a hand on Sarah's shoulder. “I understand.” Sarah nodded. “I'll be back.” At that moment, Chris entered the room. He was also dressed in military clothing and carried his gear. He looked at Sarah. “Wife, let's go.” Sarah stood up. “We're already late.” Chris nodded.
The three of them quickly headed toward the door. Tracy and Kelvin remained standing in the living room, completely speechless. They had no idea what had happened to their daughters. They only knew that they had suddenly been called into action and were now flying to Colombia. As the door closed behind them, Kelvin finally looked at Tracy. “Colombia…” Tracy nodded slowly. “I just hope they come back safely.” At the Gomez family residence, Laura had also returned. When she entered the house, only Godness was home. Laura immediately approached her mother-in-law. “Mother-in-law, I need to tell you something.” Godness looked at her. “What happened?” Laura took a breath. “The Mayor knows what we did to Willy.” Godness froze. “What?” “He knows about everything.” Godness stared at her in disbelief. Laura continued. “He offered us a deal. Instead of arresting us, he wants us to become a secret force for the government.” “A secret force?” Laura nodded. “Our job will be to help keep Scotland safe.” Godness didn't know what to say.
Laura continued. “And our first mission is in Colombia.” Godness immediately became worried. “Colombia?” “Yes.” “That's dangerous.” Laura nodded. “I know.” She looked toward the clock. “I'm leaving now.” Godness frowned. “Where is Bright?” “He's working.” Laura grabbed her equipment. “Please tell my husband and father-in-law that I've gone to Colombia.” She paused. “I'll be back in a few days.” Godness looked at her with concern. “Colombia is dangerous. That's a country known for drug trafficking and powerful criminal organizations.” She stepped closer. “Will you be safe?” Laura gave a small shake of her head. “I can't promise that.” Godness looked even more worried. Laura continued. “But we have to go.” “Why?” “We're not only going there for the mission.” Laura's expression became serious. “Alicia's son was kidnapped.” Godness's eyes widened. "Emmanuel?” Laura nodded. “One of the Harris family members took him and escaped to Colombia.”
She tightened the straps on her equipment. “They went there, and we have to follow them.” Godness sighed. She knew there was no point trying to stop Laura. “Alright.” She looked at her daughter-in-law. “I can't stop you.” She hugged Laura. “So all I can say is be careful.” Laura nodded. “I will.” She picked up her gear and headed toward the door. “I'll see you soon.” Godness watched her leave. Once again, she was left wondering just how dangerous the life Laura had chosen had become. At a private airship, Alicia and I arrived wearing casual clothes. We were prepared to leave for Colombia. But the moment we stepped inside, we stopped. Everyone else was dressed in military clothing. Sarah, Samantha, Chris, Laura, and the others were all carrying military gear. Alicia stared at them. Then she shook her head. “Guys…” Everyone looked at her. “We're going to another country.” She pointed toward their clothes. “If immigration or security officers see all of us dressed like this, we're going to attract attention immediately.” Sarah frowned. “What?”
Alicia looked at her. “Do you really think soldiers from Scotland can simply travel to another country wearing military uniforms?” Sarah hesitated. “But I've lived in England.” She looked confused. “I've seen Scottish soldiers there.” Alicia shook her head. “Do you think they went there without their government communicating with the British government?” Sarah opened her mouth. Then stopped. Alicia continued. “Whenever military personnel travel internationally for official purposes, there are procedures. Governments communicate. Permissions are arranged.” Sarah slowly covered her mouth. She realized Alicia was right. Nobody said anything. Alicia looked at the group. “We aren't going to Colombia as soldiers.” She pointed toward their uniforms. “We're going as civilians.” Chris looked down at himself. “So we need to change.” “Exactly.” We quickly left the airport and entered a nearby shopping mall. Everyone split up and bought suitable civilian clothing. Within a short time, the military uniforms were packed away. Weapons and equipment were secured properly, while everyone changed into ordinary clothes. When we regrouped, nobody looked like a military team anymore. We looked like a group of ordinary travelers. But we weren't. We were the Lions. And we were heading to Colombia. We were going to bring Emmanuel home. A few minutes later, we left the mall and headed back toward the private airport. Our small jet was waiting. The clock was already moving toward five.
