C465 You Know Too Much
Victor and Peter exchanged sad looks. Victor kept his head lowered. Deep down, he knew this was bound to happen. Hanna was not an easy person to deal with, and after everything she had already done, he knew she would eventually try to destroy them both. He slowly looked toward the coaches. “Go find Hanna.” The coaches looked at him. “This time, turn every city upside down if you have to. Find her.” His voice became colder. “I want her dead.” Peter immediately stopped him. “Hold on.” Victor looked at him. “Let us first give my grandson a proper burial.” He turned toward Alicia. “Alicia…” His voice softened. “My grandchild.” Alicia was still crying in my arms. Peter continued. “What happened today reminded me of what happened to my daughter years ago, along with your mother. This killing will never end.” He looked down at the basket. “However, them killing my great-grandson will not go unpunished.”
Peter then looked at Victor. “Hanna may be your family, but what she did today cannot be forgiven.” Victor nodded slowly. “I know.” I held Alicia tightly as tears continued falling from my eyes. I could barely breathe. Our son was gone. The child we had protected with everything they had was now lying inside a basket. Mary slowly approached us. “Mike… Alicia…” She struggled to hold back her tears. “I am sorry.” Alicia looked at her. “We failed to protect Emmanuel.” Mary's voice broke. “He was taken right in front of us, and we didn't do anything.” Alicia shook her head. “It wasn't your fault.” But even she didn't believe the words. Mark stood nearby with red eyes. His face was filled with anger. “I will issue an arrest warrant for her.” He clenched his fists. “Hanna will be brought to justice.” Victor suddenly took out his phone. He made a call. “Father…” There was silence on the other side. Victor lowered his voice. “What you were trying to avoid has happened.” Miller immediately became concerned. “What happened? Did they find Emmanuel?” Victor closed his eyes. “Dad…” His voice trembled. “Hanna was the one who took him.” Miller remained silent. “She tried to kill Alicia today, but she failed.” Victor swallowed. “Then she sent Emmanuel's dead body back to us.”
There was another long silence. “Dad…” Victor's voice cracked. “They killed my grandson.” On the other side of the call, Miller froze. The phone slowly slipped from his hand and fell to the floor. He stared at it without moving. His chest tightened. For several seconds, he couldn't speak. Then he looked toward one of the guards. “Call Samson.” “Yes, Boss.” A few moments later, Samson entered the room. “Father.” Miller looked at him. His expression was filled with disappointment and anger. “Do you know what you have done?” Samson froze. “Father, what happened? Is Hanna in trouble?” Miller shook his head. “She just killed a three-month-old baby.” Samson's face immediately changed. “What?” “How cruel can she be?” Miller asked. “The baby didn't know anything. He had done nothing to anyone.” Samson remained frozen. Miller continued. “She has started a war.” He pointed toward him. “Your brother wants answers. The Mooney family wants answers. And I want answers.” Samson lowered his head. “I warned you several times to stop this.” Samson looked up. “Father…” Miller stared at him. “I don't know what to say.” Samson shook his head. “The only thing I knew was that Hanna had returned to the war. She went back to fight alongside her army.”
Miller's expression hardened. Samson's frustration finally came out. “But, Father, all of this is happening because of you.” Miller stared at him. “You failed to appoint one leader. How is this my fault?” His voice grew louder. “From the history books of our family, we all know what Gold and Diamond represents.” He shook his head. “And yet you were completely fine with it being given to a stranger.” Miller didn't answer. Samson turned around and walked away. The door closed behind him. Miller remained alone. The consequences of the family's old decisions seemed to be standing directly in front of him. At the Hotel, Hanna sat quietly inside the hotel room. She prepared two glasses and poured a small amount of liquid from the colourless bottle into one of them. Then she sat down and waited. Minutes passed. Finally, the door opened. Destroyer entered. Hanna smiled. “You did well.” Destroyer closed the door behind him. Hanna stood and removed the coat she was wearing. Destroyer's eyes immediately followed her. He moved toward the bed. Hanna smiled. “Hold on.” Destroyer stopped. “Before that, we have to celebrate.” She picked up the two glasses. She handed one to him. “Drink.”
Destroyer looked at the glass before taking it. Hanna lifted her own glass. "To success.” She took a sip. Destroyer did the same. For several seconds, nothing happened. Then Destroyer suddenly stopped. He grabbed his throat. He began coughing violently. Hanna watched him. Destroyer looked down. Blood appeared on his lips. He stared at Hanna in disbelief. “You…” He struggled to breathe. Hanna's expression remained calm. “I am sorry.” Destroyer fell against the bed. “You know too much.” His body slowly collapsed. Hanna stood over him for a moment. Then she calmly finished getting dressed. She picked up her belongings, walked toward the door, and left the room without looking back. At the Kinlore residence, Charlie arrived home earlier than John. The house was quiet. She went into the kitchen and prepared dinner. She tried to convince herself that everything was going to be normal again. Then the front door opened. John walked inside. The moment he saw her, he froze. “Wife?” Charlie turned around. She smiled. “Yes, Husband.” John stared at her. “You have returned?” “Yes.”
Charlie walked toward him. “I am sorry for everything that happened over the past few days.” She touched his arm. “But I am back now.” John's expression changed. “Do you know what they did to me?” Charlie looked at him. “John…” “They tortured me.” He raised his injured hand. “Look.” Charlie stared at it. “My thumb is gone.” For a few moments, Charlie looked genuinely worried. “I am sorry.” John sat down. “I thought they were going to kill me.” Charlie remained standing. Then her eyes moved toward the table. A glass of juice was already waiting for John. Her expression changed. A small smile appeared on her face. “Husband…” John looked at her. “I am sorry.” She picked up the glass and placed it in front of him. “From today onward, I will make it up to you.” John looked at the juice. Then he took a sip. For a few seconds, nothing happened. Then he began coughing. He placed the glass down. His breathing became difficult. Charlie watched him. John looked at her in disbelief. “Wife…” He struggled to speak. "You poisoned me?” Charlie said nothing. John fell from the chair and hit the floor. Charlie stood over him silently. Then she took out her phone. She sent one message. "Done." A reply came moments later. "Meet me at Willy's Estate." Charlie looked at John one last time. Then she picked up her keys and walked out of the house. She started the car and drove away. Toward Willy's Estate. And toward the war that was only beginning.
