C473 Internal Fight

Mark remained quiet for a while before finally speaking. “The Mayor refused your request to quit. He said you cannot complete one job and then expect all your sins to be forgiven.” Alicia froze. Mark continued, “He said the job you completed only saved me. If the Lions quit now, all of you will be arrested and interrogated.” Alicia stared at her father in disbelief. “So he is forcing us?” Mark nodded. “That is exactly what he is doing.” Alicia lowered her eyes. “And since you two are still mourning my grandson, I went to speak with Chris, Sarah, and Samantha. They said they will make their decision tomorrow.” Alicia nodded slowly. “I understand.” Mark looked at both of us for a moment before turning toward the door. “I'll leave you two to talk.” He walked out of the room and closed the door behind him. For several seconds, neither of us said anything. I finally turned toward Alicia. “Wife, what do you think?” Alicia remained quiet for a while. She looked exhausted, as if she had no strength left to make another difficult decision. Finally, she looked at me. “We'll see tomorrow.” I nodded. Neither of us knew what tomorrow would bring.

Far away from the Mooney residence, the situation at the border was rapidly getting worse. The tension between the families had finally reached its breaking point. The Third Family's soldiers were clearly unhappy with the First Family's forces. At first, it was nothing more than heated arguments and accusations. Then someone threw the first punch. Within seconds, the argument turned into a violent fight. The noise quickly spread throughout the camp. Hammer and the coaches came rushing out of their tents after hearing the commotion. Hammer stopped when he saw the Third Family's soldiers fighting against the First Family's men. “What the hell is going on?” Before he could get an answer, another soldier attacked. Hammer and the coaches were forced to join the fight. Soon, the entire area had descended into chaos. Soldiers from both sides fought one another, forgetting that they were supposed to be defending the same territory. Several men were injured. The defensive line that had once stood strong was now dangerously weak. That was exactly the opportunity the Rome Underground Force had been waiting for. The enemy attacked. They pushed toward the weakened defensive line, forcing the Gupta forces to retreat.

The situation was becoming a disaster. Realizing what was happening, the First and Third Families were eventually forced to stop fighting each other and turn their weapons toward their real enemy. “Forget each other!” one of the coaches shouted. “Fight the enemy!” The two sides reunited and fought together. The Rome Underground Force continued pushing forward, but the Gupta forces managed to hold them back. After a fierce battle, the Rome Underground Force finally retreated. But they did not leave disappointed. They had achieved something important. They had finally broken through the Gupta family's defensive line. And that breakthrough could change everything. The Third Family Soldiers immediately contacted Victor. Hammer was the one who sent him a message. “Boss, there was an internal fight. Our army fought against each other, and the enemy managed to break through. Our army is weak. Many of our men were injured by the first family soldiers.” Victor's expression changed as he read the message. Meanwhile, the First Family had also contacted Samson. Samson received the news and immediately left. Victor was already rushing toward Miller's villa.

Minutes later, both brothers arrived. Miller was pushing his wheelchair inside his villa when the two men entered from opposite sides. The moment he saw them, he knew something was wrong. “What happened?” Neither man answered immediately. Instead, Victor and Samson stared angrily at each other. Miller looked from one son to the other. He cleared his throat. “Will someone tell me what is going on?” Samson was the first to speak. “His army attacked my army, and now the enemy has broken through.” Victor immediately laughed bitterly. “Wasn't it your army that attacked mine?” Samson turned toward him. “Your soldiers started it.” “Your soldiers started it,” Victor fired back. Miller raised his hand. “Enough. You two have been fighting together for years but it has never affected our army. Why would your armies suddenly turn against each other now?” Samson gave a bitter, almost sarcastic laugh. “Ever since this family acknowledged that girl, we have never had peace.” Victor's expression hardened. “Is that why you sent your daughter to kill my grandson?”

The room suddenly became silent. Samson's face changed. “Did you ever hear me give that order?” Victor stepped closer. “Do you think I need proof?” Samson stood his ground. “You're accusing me of ordering my own daughter to kill your grandson. So yes, you need proof.” Victor moved even closer until the two brothers were standing almost toe to toe. “Even Father knows you're the main culprit. You did all of this because you want my family.” Samson laughed. “If I wanted your family, I would have taken it a long time ago.” Victor clenched his fists. Samson continued. “Have you forgotten that I'm older than you?” Victor stared at him. “That doesn't make you right.” Samson stepped forward. “It makes me experienced enough to know that you are blaming the wrong person.” Miller suddenly slammed his hand against the table. “ENOUGH!” Both brothers stopped. Miller looked at them with anger. “This family is falling apart while our enemies are attacking us.” He pointed toward the door. “And you two are standing here arguing about who started it?” Neither Victor nor Samson answered. Instead they both looked at Miller. Miller continued, his voice filled with frustration. “Do you two even understand what you've done? Look at us now. Our family is divided, and our soldiers are fighting one another.” Samson gave a faint grin. “Good.” Victor looked at him. Samson continued, “Now you have to do what you failed to do a long time ago. There has to be one leader who leads everyone. Otherwise, this will only get worse.” Victor laughed bitterly. “You have always been after leadership, brother. But let's see what you do now.” He paused. “The same girl you all keep calling a stranger has returned the Gold and Diamond Dagger.” Samson's smile disappeared. “Wait… what?” Victor smiled. “You didn't know?”
