C476 Go Back
At that moment, the doors to the training hall opened. The Lions began walking in one after another. They immediately stopped when they saw us. Everyone looked surprised. Chris was the first to react. “Brother!”He walked straight toward me and pulled me into a hug. “Why are you here?” I smiled. "Did you see the post Charlie made?” The smiles disappeared from their faces. Everyone nodded. “We saw it,” Sarah said quietly. Alicia looked at everyone. “Good.” She turned toward the whiteboard. “We have spent all this time letting Hanna chase after us.” She picked up the marker. “But now everything changes.” She underlined Hanna's name. “Now we're coming after her.” Laura frowned. “What do you mean?” Alicia pointed toward the writing on the whiteboard. “I've been thinking about how we can find Hanna. But there is a problem.” She paused. “Other than her family and the Gold and Diamond Dagger, I can't think of anything that matters enough to her.” Faith nodded. “So what are you planning to do?”
Alicia smiled. “Both Gold and Diamond and most of the people she cares about are connected to the Gupta family.” She looked at the others. “So I was thinking about launching a sneak attack against the people close to her.” She immediately raised her hand. “But not her father.” Everyone understood why. “He is my grandfather,” Alicia added. Samantha nodded. “Then who are we targeting?” Sarah followed. “And how are we supposed to get to them?” Alicia turned back toward the whiteboard. “Her friends.” She wrote the word underneath Hanna's name. “We all remember the Family Boxing, right?” Chris immediately smiled. “How could I forget?” He laughed. “The eight people we sparred with.” “I remember Bloom,” Chris added proudly. “I still remember how I defeated him.” Amanda laughed. “I still remember Stacy.” She shook her head. “I lost that fight.” Alicia nodded. “Exactly.” She pointed at the names on the board. “Those eight people are close to Hanna. They know her. They have worked with her. Some of them have probably spoken to her recently.” Laura looked at her carefully. “So you want us to attack them?”
Alicia nodded. “We could take them, interrogate them and find out where Hanna is.” Laura's expression changed. “But what if they don't know where she is?” She looked around the room. “Wouldn't we just be hurting them for nothing?” The room went quiet. Samantha suddenly smiled. “What if we don't attack them?” Everyone looked at her. Chris raised an eyebrow. “Then what are we going to do? Be friends with them?” Samantha shook her head. “No, dumbass.” Chris laughed. “Hey!” Samantha continued. “I'm saying we make them uncomfortable.” Alicia looked at her. “Explain.” Samantha walked toward the whiteboard. “If Hanna is still in contact with them, they'll react to pressure.” She pointed toward the names. “We don't have to hurt them. We don't even have to accuse them of anything.” She paused. “We simply get close enough to them that they start wondering what we're doing or what we know.” Sarah nodded slowly. “And if Hanna contacts them?” Samantha smiled. “Then we'll know.” Chris looked impressed. “So basically, we make them think we're watching them.” “Exactly,” Samantha said. Alicia smiled. “Very good plan.” I raised my hand slightly. “There's only one problem.” Everyone looked at me. “How are we going to get close to them?”
I pointed toward the whiteboard. “They're at the border, and we're here in the city.” Sarah smiled. “That's easy.” She looked directly at Alicia. “Alicia, you have to return to the Gupta family.” Alicia's smile disappeared. “What?” Sarah continued. “We follow you.” Alicia stared at her. “You want me to go back?” Sarah nodded. Alicia shook her head. “What am I supposed to tell Grandpa? I already told him I was done with Gold and Diamond.” Chris smiled. “Then tell him you changed your mind.” Alicia glared at him. “Chris.” He laughed. “I'm joking.” Alicia folded her arms. “You guys don't know what I said to Grandpa when I returned the Gold and Diamond Dagger.” She looked uncomfortable. “I told him I couldn't carry the burden anymore.” She paused. “And now I'm supposed to walk back into that family as if nothing happened?” Chris leaned against the wall. “Just tell him the truth.” Alicia looked at him. “What truth?” “That you're going back for Hanna.” Alicia remained silent. Chris's expression became serious. “You don't have to want the leadership. You don't have to want Gold and Diamond. You only need a reason to get back inside.” Alicia looked toward the whiteboard. Before she could answer, there was a knock on the door. Everyone turned.
The door opened and the new HR manager stepped inside. “Director?” Alicia looked at him. “Yes?” The HR manager looked slightly nervous. “An old man is looking for you.” Alicia frowned. “Who?” “He says he is from the Gupta family.” Everyone in the room immediately exchanged looks. The HR manager continued. “What should I do?” Alicia looked at us. Then she smiled. “Well…” She gestured toward the door. “Bring him here.” The HR manager nodded. “Yes, Director.” He turned and left. I looked at Alicia. “Wife…” She looked at me. “It seems like we're lucky.” Chris smiled. “Or someone is listening to us.” Alicia gave him a look. “Don't start.” A few minutes later, the doors opened again. Victor entered. He was alone. No security. No coaches. Alicia immediately froze. “Grandpa?” Victor looked around the training hall. Then he looked at Alicia. “My grandchild.” He took a breath. “We have a problem at the border.” Everyone became serious. Alicia stepped forward. “What happened?” Victor looked at the Lions. “My family and the First Family have been involved in a fight.” Alicia's expression changed. “A fight?”
Victor nodded. “Things have been different since Emmanuel's death.” He sighed. “They are no longer working together the way they used to.” Alicia looked at him carefully. “Grandpa, why are you telling me this?” Victor hesitated. “And why aren't you telling Hanna?” Victor's expression became serious. “My father asked me to convince you to return to the family.” Alicia's eyes widened slightly. “He want me back?" Victor nodded. “You will reclaim Gold and Diamond.” Alicia immediately shook her head. “No.” Victor raised his eyebrows. “I haven't finished.” He paused. “Samson has been given the same task. He has been ordered to convince Hanna to return as well.” Victor continued. “Whoever returns first will take the lead at the border.” The room became silent. Alicia looked at the Lions. Then she looked at me. Everything was falling into place almost too perfectly. She turned back to Victor. “If I go back…” She paused. “Just know that I'm not going back because I want Gold and Diamond.” Victor nodded. “I understand.” “I'm going back because I need to find Hanna.” Victor looked at her for a moment. “We will discuss everything when you arrive.” Alicia nodded. “Fine.” Then she added, “And I'm taking my team with me.” Victor looked at the Lions. “I don't have a problem with that.” Alicia smiled. “Then we'll arrive tomorrow morning.” Victor nodded. “I'll tell the family.” He turned and started walking toward the door. “Grandpa.” Victor stopped. He slowly turned around. Alicia looked at him. “There is one thing I need to know.” Victor waited. “How are Charlie and Hanna connected?” The smile disappeared from Alicia's face. The room became completely silent. Victor stared at his granddaughter. He looked genuinely concerned. “Why are you asking me that?”
