C4 Co-CEO

Bea's grandfather died three days after. Bea was so sad, her grandfather was like a parent to her and it hurt her to know he was gone. She sought solace in work as she focused on closing the last deal she could close as an executive director. Soon, when she was ready, she was going to invite their family lawyer to go through the will her grandfather left for her.

*****************

"Have a seat, Mr Charles" Bea said as she invited the family lawyer into her office after a month of her grandfather's death.

"Thanks miss Beatrice" he said

"I was told my grandfather left a will" she said. "May I take a look?"

"Sure"

She began reading, she saw the part where her grandfather left ownership rights to her once she married the so called Rocco Gagliardi. She then saw something else that shocked her.

Rocco Gagliardi was going to be a Co-CEO to Galanis Enterprises after they got married.

What the hell? First her grandfather made her agree to marry him to inherit the company now he was making him her Co-CEO? Didn't he trust her ability to handle the company alone?

Darn it! She had to find out who this Rocco Gagliardi was and find out what he had on her grandfather!

"Rosalind" She called after escorting the family lawyer out. Rosalind came running.

"I need you to send an invitation to Mr Gagliardi. "Tell him that I request his presence as soon as possible and I'm looking forward to a favorable response from him" She said

Two days later she got a response from Rocco. They fixed a meeting the next day and Rocco came to her office.

She was shocked to her wits when she found out who he was.

He was the man who she spent the night with that day her friends took out to the club. The day before her grandfather made that preposterous request.

She couldn't believe this! What were the odds?

'You?" She asked him in shock.

His wolfish grin made her hearts beat in fierce palpitations.

"Yes, me" He said. "Are you that surprised?" "Have you known this all along?" She asked with incredulity in her tone.

"Yes, I've always known who you are, if that's what you're asking..." He smirked

"Did you know about this preposterous marriage arrangement?" She asked him.

"Of course I did." He said "Your grandfather owed me a favor"

"And did you know who I was before you slept with me?" She asked him.

He scoffed "You had the one who barged into my room!"

She just couldn't believe this!

She knew it was no use arguing with him, for he was going to be her husband and there was no point hating on him.

She just had to figure out a way to make the relationship between them happen because she had to inherit the company sooner or later.

"So you are going to be my Co-CEO?" She asked him.

"You saw it in the will, didn't you?" He asked, smirking.

"What do you have on my grandfather? What did you do to make these decisions even without consulting his only granddaughter?" She lashed out at him.

"I have no idea what you're talking about" Rocco replied.

"You know what? Let's just get this over and done with. It obviously isn't going to be a real marriage" She said to him.

"It's just a farce"

Rocco looked at her intensely, she almost forgot how to breathe.

"Fine." He said. "Call it whatever you want to"

"I suggest a contract marriage" she said

"We stay together for two years, we won't cross each other that's boundaries and get divorced once two years is over"

"Fine" he said. "You call the shots" Then he grinned again. She wondered what was making him smile in this bizarre situation.

"So when is the wedding date?" He asked

"I suggest we don't delay it" Rocco said. "Why don't we make it in three days time?" She said and he nodded in agreement.

"Perfect" he husked. "Because I can't wait to make you mine"
