C12 The Person Who Signed the Contract with Liyang

Director Lu? Lu Jingyue?

Ye Tian recalled Shang Yuvyuv's lovestruck expression and turned her attention to the man beside her. "So you're Director Lu. Your reputation certainly precedes you. Hello." He certainly had an impressive presence, but having seen Gu Qinian's example, she had come to truly understand what 'snob' meant.

"I have great admiration for Miss Ye's photography skills," Lu Jingyue remarked with a double meaning. The fact that Gu Qinian had taken no action, real or misplaced, and had not blacklisted Ye Tian was quite surprising, and he found himself intrigued by her.

"You should have received and reviewed the invitation from New World. The terms and requirements are outlined in the documents. I've invited you here to see if you have any objections or special requests. Please, don't hesitate to make them known. We'll do our best to accommodate you. Once we've discussed everything and there are no discrepancies, we can proceed with signing the contract."

"I have no objections."

The compensation was generous, and the prospect of irking Gu Qinian was an added bonus for her.

"Good, then here's to a successful collaboration," Lu Jingyue said with a warm smile.

"To a successful collaboration."

This boss was quite courteous, a stark contrast to Gu Qinian. Who could compare to him, with his glares and tendencies toward Domestic Violence?

At the hospital, after Gu Qinian had dealt with the media, he realized Ye Tian was missing.

"Director Gu, Second Miss Ye went to Liyang to sign a contract an hour ago," Han Cheng reported, his voice tinged with concern as he observed Gu Qinian's stoic face.

Predictably, Gu Qinian paused, "Liyang?"

Han Cheng nodded cautiously. He hadn't anticipated Ye Tian's choice of Liyang, and that she would promptly sign with New World.

Gu Qinian, without a word, lifted his foot with a blank expression. "Send me the invitation that Ye Tian received."

"Yes, sir!"

The following day, Shang Yuvyuv sent the shoot's theme to Ye Tian, instructing her to arrive at the location by ten in the morning for the 'Heaven and Hell' shoot.

The shoot wasn't in a studio, but rather an outdoor location. With a sudden drop in temperature and the site situated in the distant suburbs, Ye Tian left home two hours early to avoid the rush hour. As she stepped outside, she couldn't help but sneeze a couple of times, prompting her to go back inside and bundle up in another layer before heading out.

On her way, Shang Yuvyuv called her. "Ye Tian, I have something to tell you. The photographer is Ye Ziyan."

"What?!" Ye Tian, still drowsy, was jolted awake by Shang Yuvyuv's words. She inadvertently raised her voice, drawing the attention of everyone in the car. Embarrassed, Ye Tian lowered her voice and asked, "Who did you say? Ye Ziyan?"

It seemed her sneeze earlier wasn't without reason.

As she neared the set, Ye Tian arrived in a sour mood, only to spot Ye Ziyan's flashy nanny car parked at the curb. She rolled her eyes, intending to walk past, but as luck would have it, Murphy's Law took effect: what you least want to happen will happen.

Science never deceives.

Ye Ziyan emerged from the car leisurely with her assistant's assistance. Upon seeing Ye Tian, her expression shifted. "What are you doing here?"

The assistant whispered, "Ms Ziyan, she's the new photographer signed by New World yesterday."

From her elevated position on the car steps, Ye Ziyan looked down on Ye Tian with disdain, not even granting her a glance. "It's just my luck to see the very person I least want to encounter. New World really does recruit just anyone!"

Ye Tian gave a cold laugh. "Exactly. New World seems to pick up whoever is least wanted. They really will take anyone. From heaven to hell, tsk tsk."

With that, she turned and walked away.

Ye Ziyan clearly caught the sting of Ye Tian's words, but before she could snap back, Ye Tian had already turned and left, leaving her fuming and forced to swallow her rage.

Ye Tian, you just wait!
