C20 Lin Anna

Rest assured, as long as you keep quiet, Grandma will be none the wiser. And if I were to actually move in, coming and going daily, wouldn't you fear making the front-page news?"

Ye Tian was fully aware of Gu Qinian's PR skills, yet she only mentioned the reporters as a smokescreen.

"I'm only going to say this once: I don't want your grandfather sleeping by the hospital roadside tomorrow. You're heading back to the apartment tonight."

With that, she abruptly ended the call.

"Hello? Hello? You sick freak?"

"What a stubborn mule!"

Ye Tian swore into the phone. She really didn't understand the cost of living, nor did she consider her own neighborhood. She was tempted to drag Gu Qinian into a taxi ride to show him the most cutthroat profession in A City, especially for a nouveau riche like him.

But then Ye Tian shook her head, realizing that a nouveau riche like him wouldn't care about the cost of living.

The shoot was taking place inside New World.

"Is the big boss here?"

"Why are you here? Are you this kind to me because you're worried I'll get picked on?"

Ye Tian was thrilled to see Shang Yuvyuv.

Shang Yuvyuv gestured dismissively, "Don't idolize me; I'm merely a legend."

Ye Tian chuckled and playfully hit her, then casually threw an arm around her. "You're such a mess. Come on, I'll show you how I work."

Shang Yuvyuv had been concerned ever since Ye Tian took on Lin Anna's job. She got up early to wake Ye Tian, knowing all too well that the girl would likely forget everything come the weekend. True to form, Ye Tian was still in a daze when she called.

Still uneasy, Shang Yuvyuv decided to head to New World and wait for her, under the guise of a set visit.

Upon entering New World, Ye Tian clocked in right at eight o'clock.

She kissed Shang Yuvyuv, who had a knack for making her forget the world come the weekend.

Last night, Ye Tian was restless, thinking about her grandfather and battling a slight fever from a cold. She took some medicine, greedily slept through the night, and even turned off her alarm, completely forgetting about the weekend overtime. Thankfully, Shang Yuvyuv, her guardian angel, was there to save the day.

Shang Yuvyuv marveled at how different life was at a big company. Coming from a well-off family and working at a Camera Studio meant she wasn't subject to the daily grind of clocking in and out.

"Hurry up! Clear the trash off these tables. You, and you, let's move it and stop dawdling. What's the matter with everyone? Still half asleep?" Linda, the head of the camera crew, directed her frustration at the reception area.

Ye Tian recognized her—it was Linda, the same person who had lectured Ye Ziyan's assistant during the outdoor shoot. She was known for her work on magazine covers.

"What's going on?" Shang Yuvyuv whispered from behind Ye Tian. As they watched the flurry of activity, Ye Tian was initially confused but quickly caught on. A name suddenly popped into Shang Yuvyuv's mind.

They exchanged a knowing glance.

Lin Anna.

Lin Anna was a supermodel accustomed to the grandeur of international events, and she certainly wasn't keen on compromising her standards for local gigs. Consequently, everyone at New World was going all out to impress her.

"What are you all standing around for? Get moving—red carpet time!" Linda commanded.

Ye Tian was taken aback. A red carpet? That seemed a bit much...

However, the outcome didn't disappoint her. The photography team had been waiting since eight in the morning until 10:48. The supermodel's first words upon arrival were, "I'm hungry. Let's eat first."

And with that, the shoot was officially over.

Shang Yuvyuv had been keen to treat Ye Tian to a nice meal out, but Ye Tian had opted for takeout instead.

Lin Anna was determined to make a statement on her first day. True to form, before the takeout even arrived, Lin Anna returned, surprised to see Ye Tian still there. "You didn't leave?"

Ye Tian offered a warm smile. "If you're up for it, I'm ready to shoot whenever you are."

It was a bit like placating a child, but as long as she wasn't too demanding, Ye Tian was happy to treat her clients like royalty.

Lin Anna shook her head, gave Ye Tian a deep look, and walked away.

She had planned to put the photographer in their place right from the start, annoyed that her agent had booked her for New World without consulting her. She harbored some resentment but kept her complaints to herself.
