C8 Take Care of Regina

Angelina snorted coldly. "Please, that ungrateful son of a bitch is just trying to grab all the attention that he can get."

"Stop," Nelson snapped, shooting her a glare. Then, he turned to me. "It's getting late. Please, head back early. We'll take care of things here."

"Thank you." Nelson and Angelina were around fifty years old. They had no children, and they had passive ownership of the Juarez Group. Those who could see them now knew that their lives were peaceful.

While her Second Aunt may appear vicious, her heart was in the right place. They had a very blessed life that would make anyone envious of them.

As they walked further into the hall, I stood in front of Grandfather Juarez's picture frame. It seemed that my relationship with Kieran has finally come to an end. I took a deep breath.

It was a day I knew would come, yet still did not expect it to be this way.

"Grandfather, take good care of yourself when you're there, okay? I will visit you again." I bowed one last time. However, as soon as I turned around, I froze.

When did Kieran come over?

He was dressed in all black, and his face appeared as emotionless as ever. He stood not that far behind me—his dark gaze boring into me.

"Let's go."

He came to pick me up?

Seeing that he was about to leave, I immediately went to stop him. "Kieran, Grandpa is gone. You should...you should let it go."

I was about to say something, but as his gaze became even colder, I fell silent.

A part of me thought that he would snap at me, but instead, he just left without saying a word.

I followed him right out of the hall and into the yard. The sky was already dark by the time I had left. I looked around, but the driver who dropped me off had already left.

Seeing this, I had no other choice but to head back with him. The silence was terrifying and ominous. It almost felt like something could jump in front of them.

"How is Miss Burns?" I may not have pushed her, but she did fall under my nose.

The car suddenly fell to a stop. My body propelled forward, however before I could hit the windshield, I felt something warm press against me. Kieran.

I looked up, only to see his dark eyes boring back at me. "Kieran—"

"What exactly are you looking for?" He sneered. "Teresa, do you think I won't divorce you just because my grandfather had given you that box?"

"I—" How did he know about this?

"If you're wondering, I didn't push her." I suppressed the bitterness in my voice. "Kieran, I don't know what's in that box, but I never thought about using that to save our marriage. If you really want to divorce me, then we can head over to the Civil Affairs Bureau tomorrow and get our divorce certificate."

It was completely dark around us, and the sound of the wind was the only thing we heard. We froze.

There was a short pause before Kieran finally sneered. "Regina's in the hospital."

"And what do you want me to do?"

"From tomorrow onwards, you will take care of her." He straightened his back, this time around. His fingers were wrapped around the wheel.
